Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (offseason edition). Technically, it’s not the offseason quite yet for the NFL, but it is for us fantasy football fanatics. As a dynasty manager, you need to start preparing for the next fantasy season RIGHT NOW. A lot can change before next season, and we don’t know how final rosters will look come next September. The “offseason edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down going into the offseason. We will break down each NFL team. Today is all about the Buffalo Bills.
This series of articles will cover the process I use to prospect and filter through each year’s rookie class, with each piece outlining a new player. I like using data to initialize my prospect profiles because it’s easy to examine many players quickly. Another reason is that there are no biases, it is strictly transposing stats from SRCFB to my database. This lets me get a clear view of the player’s overall profile without being biased by any outside opinions or flashy highlights. Once I collect the group of players and their stats I put them into groupings and then ultimately rank them. The next player of this series is a guy that should be getting more recognition due to how his college team performed but is still being disrespected.
This past year in fantasy showed us an ever-changing landscape at each position, and it will consistently change going forward. I have been trying to look back at the running back, which is becoming more apparent that teams not only need two backs but both can be utilized for fantasy success going forward. We have to adapt with the NFL to win FF Championships, and to build great Dynasty teams, changing viewpoints is a great start.

According to Adam Schefter, Tom Brady has retired after 22 seasons. While many have come to hate the player for ruining the hopes and dreams of teams (outside of the Giants), we have to tip our caps to this man who lived a dream. So, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., thank you and enjoy your much-deserved retirement.

This series is going to kick off with someone who is currently a sleeper but should be talked about at the top of this class.

It’s been a wild few weeks since the FootballGuys Players Championship (FBG) playoffs started. I think there might be a couple of NFL players that haven’t either got COVID or been injured. They’re not on my squads, though. It has been something else trying to set a legal competitive lineup. This season is going to go down as a winning season for me overall, but largely a disappointment and I can’t wait for next season already.
The Dallas Cowboys are the top DST in basic fantasy scoring coming into week 17. On Sunday, Big D put the hurt on Washington DC, blowing out the Football Team 56-14. The Cowboys defenders were an integral part of the domination, producing five sacks, two interceptions, a blocked punt, and two touchdowns in the game. The Cowboys’ IDP studs of the game were Demarcus Lawrence and Trevon Diggs.

For all of the Trey Lance truthers out there, you are finally getting your Captain Raymond Holt of Brooklyn Nine-Nine fame, vindication moment with the news of Jimmy Garoppolo being sidelined with a UCL strain. Currently, team sources aren’t sure the extent of the injury but Dr. Nirav Pandya, MD, Director of Sports Medicine at UCSF is expecting it to be like that of the Drew Brees injury of 2019
If you have not been watching the Lions’ defense this season, you’ve probably missed some very solid production out of fifth-year defender Charles Harris. The former Missouri star has amassed 58 total tackles, nine TFLs, and 7.5 sacks this season. Sunday, the 26-year-old dominated, producing 12 total tackles, three TFLs, and 1.5 sacks against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. Harris is an excellent starting defensive end this season and likely beyond.
With all of the postponed games, surprise flops, and COVID-related absences, Week 15 may have been the most chaotic week in the history of fantasy football. I mean, Duke Johnson was the RB1 for goodness’ sake. That being said, most of our picks performed as expected. In particular, Jalen Hurts came through with a strong performance that likely swayed many playoff matchups late on Tuesday evening.
