One Question For EVERY NFL Team: Philadelphia Eagles Edition

Welcome back to my One Question series, and thank you to everyone who read last week’s Washington Commanders edition — which Commanders running back are you drafting this season? We’ve now asked the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders their questions. That only leaves one team — the one and only Philadelphia Eagles!

After a drama-filled 2025 season and early playoff exit, it’s been quite the offseason for the Eagles. It feels like so long ago when Jalen Hurts (QB – PHI) and his teammates were celebrating their Super Bowl LIX victory. Fast forward to today, and the Eagles have traded away three-time All-Pro receiver A.J. Brown (WR – NE), and Hurts’ future with the team is in question. With a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion — who just so happens to be Hurts’ 11th offensive coordinator dating back to his time in college — trading up to draft Makai Lemon (WR – PHI), what looks to be a prove-it year, and this being the final year of guaranteed money on his contract, all of the off-field drama, questions about his leadership, and his ability as a passer, in addition to an uncertain future in Philadelphia, has led fantasy managers to unload him off of their rosters before the 2026 season.

My question for the Philadelphia Eagles is: Is now the time to BUY Jalen Hurts (QB – PHI) in fantasy?

No Stranger to Adversity

Jalen Hurts (QB – PHI) is no stranger to adversity. He was the first true freshman to start a game for the Alabama Crimson Tide, leading the team to consecutive National Championship game appearances in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, he would have his first real experience with adversity when he was benched in the second half in favor of Tua Tagovailoa (QB – MIA), and Alabama would go on to win the game without him.

Top Dynasty Value for Each NFC East & West Team

You mean to tell me I can get a 26-year-old bell-cow, tied to a long-term contract, in an explosive offense at only RB19 prices? Sign me up all day. Javonte Williams averaged 15.2 fantasy points per game last season, good for RB11. After racking up 1,338 total yards and 13 touchdowns in his first season with the Cowboys, Williams re-upped with Dallas, and he’s now locked in as the unquestioned RB1. 

He’s not the most electric back in the game, but volume is king, and he should get plenty of it again in 2026. With only Malik Davis and Jaydon Blue behind him, Williams could push for 300 touches this season. Low-end RB1 output is in play once again, and you only have to pay a low-end RB2 price to get him.

Which Quarterbacks Can Average 20+ FPPG in 2026?

The goal of this article is to find what the makeup of an elite fantasy football quarterback is. I am looking for quarterbacks who score 20+ PPR a game, which is about the top 6 each year.

Since 2010, we have had 17 quarterbacks with multiple seasons of 20+ PPR. These quarterbacks make up 71/80 seasons since 2010. We have had 9 quarterbacks only do it once so far. Some of those guys that are still playing and could join the list of 17 are: Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Baker Mayfield.

Now, the list of 17 quarterbacks who have been elite since 2010.

Projecting Top Fantasy QBs for 2026

In this article, I’ll be reviewing data from the past four seasons to predict the next top 12 fantasy football quarterbacks. I started by analyzing the top 12 quarterbacks by points per game in each season for the past 4 seasons, identifying a total of 26 players.

Next, I focused on quarterbacks who achieved multiple top 12 seasons — not just one-hit wonders. This narrowed the list to 15 total quarterbacks.

    • 14/15 passed for more than 175 yards a game (Hurts)
    • 14/15 rushed for more than 10 yards a game (Goff)

  • 14/15 averaged more than 20 PPR a game in their college career (Love)
  • 14/15 had more than 2 touchdowns to interceptions ratio (Jones)
  • 14/15 had more than 300 rushing yards in college (Goff)

Those who follow my work know I approach all of my rankings from an analytical foundation and then layer in additional context on top of that. This series is no different. The foundation of my Dynasty rankings is a proprietary model that utilizes a combination of predictive metrics with an emphasis on prior season fantasy points per game and then combines that with a position-specific age multiplier, flattening of TD luck, and position adjustment. This is the Dynasty 1 Score. From there, I layer on situational adjustments that pure statistics can not identify. I also prioritize consistency in my rankings. How likely are the players to be able to repeat their prior season performances based on their archetype? With that introduction, let me introduce you to my Dynasty rankings series. Projecting 2027 Dynasty Ranks: Quarterback

In Dynasty Fantasy Football, there’s an added layer of strategy that Redraft formats can’t provide. Creating a team with longevity that can compete year in and year out is the ultimate goal. It’s essential to look beyond the current season and understand where our assets are trending in the long run. Dynasty is very much a player-value game; if you can master the art of buying low and selling high, you can accrue roster value consistently. With the concept of longevity in mind, I wanted to project what the Dynasty landscape will look like two years from today. Which players will make up the Top 12 from each position as we head into the 2027 season? This exercise should help us identify the top ascending assets in college and the NFL today. It should also tell us which players we may want to consider moving in the next year or two. This series will be broken into four parts for each fantasy position. All my rankings will be based on a Dynasty, Superflex, Tight End Premium format with four-point passing touchdowns. We’ll start with the quarterback position for this article.

The DFF Team volleys content ideas regularly in search of compelling articles at pertinent times. And though we’ve found our focus primarily on the 2025 NFL Rookie Prospects as of late, I asked the squad to pull together a mock start-up for the first five rounds. As the ideas started to percolate, @FFChalmers threw out the notion to not only cover the genesis of a startup draft, as we have done so many times in the past, but this time to make it an actual league. All the time you put into the offseason making trades, draft picks, and waiver claims will come to fruition. Enjoy these next few months of the football season. Before you know it, we will watch the Super Bowl and begin another offseason. Comparing ADP, Dynasty to Redraft: NFC East

A much-overlooked aspect of Dynasty is value comparison, or comparing the values of Dynasty players to Redraft players and seeing which is worth more or less. You might be thinking, “Well, duh! Of course, older players are worth less in Dynasty than Redraft!” I agree! But what about Daniel Jones (QB – NYJ), who is only 26 years old? Should he be worth more in Redraft or Dynasty? Or how about Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DEN), who in Redraft has an ADP of WR10, but in Dynasty, he’s valued as WR6. Which side more appropriately values players? In this series, which will take place over eight parts (one part for each division), I’ll evaluate every skill position player on every team and give my thoughts on their value, whether they are overvalued compared to Redraft or undervalued. Usually, the appropriate value will be somewhere in the middle.
