Today I’m going to highlight my Top 5 Sleepers but buy lows in Dynasty Football Leagues. These guys can all be had for next to nothing and they all could surprise and return huge value.
Gardner Minshew – (QB, Indianapolis Colts)
I’ll be honest, I’ve always been a HUGE Gardner Minshew fan. He came into the NFL severely underrated as a QB coming out of Mike Leach’s WSU offense where anyone could pass for 5,000 yards. However, Minshew was given his chance to play for the Jaguars, and he played well! replaced him with generational talent Trevor Lawrence, which is understandable, but how this guy hasn’t been given another shot by a different team after what he showed is beyond me. Minshew had to step in for an injured Jalen Hurts for a couple of spot starts last year, and again, looked impressive. Everything I’m hearing draft buzz-wise is that Indy may pass on a first-round QB and hand the reigns over to Minshew, making the mustachioed miracle an interesting buy low.
D’Onta Foreman – (RB, Chicago Bears)
Khalil Herbert stans realistically knew the Bears would bring in SOMEONE to compete with him. Unfortunately for them, that person is D’Onta Foreman, who showed out last year as Carolina’s starting RB after the CMC trade to SF. Foreman has shown he can be a fringe RB1 in the league and I fully expect him to grab the reigns of a run-heavy Bears backfield.

Samaje Perine – (RB, Denver Broncos)
Despite what my beloved Denver Broncos tell you Javonte Williams will NOT be fully healthy and ready to carry this backfield in week one, period. Anyone who believes he will be hasn’t learned their lesson. We’ve already seen this story with Cam Akers (Achilles, I know), Saquon Barkley, and J.K. Dobbins. RBs in their first year back from a major injury need some time to get back into playing form. I wouldn’t expect Javonte back fully healthy until Week 10 2023 at the earliest. Enter Samaje Perine. He was effective last year for the Bengals when filling in for an injured Joe Mixon and is ready to take the Broncos backfield job and run with it. Buy low.
Calvin Ridley – (WR, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Ridley isn’t as cheap as the rest of the guys on my buy low sleepers list, but he is going to way outperform his current cost and ADP. We haven’t seen Ridley play football in a long time, and, as such, I think we’ve forgotten how dominant the man is. He set the league on fire in Atlanta. Couple that with tying him to the NFL’s latest and greatest elite up-and-coming QB and the sky is the limit for Ridley. Buy now!
Tim Patrick – (WR, Denver Broncos)
“Mr. Underrated” himself. While the fantasy football community is obsessed with talking about Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, all Tim Patrick has ever done is produce like a true pro. He tore his ACL last season but I think the reason Sean Payton is willing to hear offers on Jeudy and Sutton is that he knows what he has with Patrick, a solid possession WR with great hands that is easily capable of being a full-time starter on the outside.
