Gabriel Davis: Gas or Brakes?

If Gabriel Davis wasn’t on your radar before last weekend, he sure is now. After his explosive performance in the AFC Divisional Round loss to the Chiefs, a football game that some are calling the best ever played, there has been no shortage of speculation and debate about this soon-to-be third-year WR from the University of Central Florida. What do I think of Davis going forward?

Rookie Prospecting Through Data: Tyler Allgeier

This series of articles will cover the process I use to prospect and filter through each year’s rookie class, with each piece outlining a new player. I like using data to initialize my prospect profiles because it’s easy to examine many players quickly. Another reason is that there are no biases, it is strictly transposing stats from SRCFB to my database. This lets me get a clear view of the player’s overall profile without being biased by any outside opinions or flashy highlights. Once I collect the group of players and their stats I put them into groupings and then ultimately rank them. This series is going to kick off with someone who is currently a sleeper but should be talked about at the top of this class.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: Chicago Bears

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (off-season edition). Yes, there are still games to be played, but as a Dynasty manager, it’s never too early to start preparing for the next fantasy season. We don’t know what final rosters will look like to start next season, and we don’t know who each team will look to acquire in the draft/free agency. The “offseason edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down going into the offseason. We will break down each NFL team. This week is all about the Chicago Bears.

This article will detail the process I go through with each of my dynasty teams at the start of each off-season. This analysis helps me to more easily make moves that will benefit my plans for the future of my team. This process also helps prevent me from making moves that contradict the current goal of my team. That brings me to the first step, we need to determine the current goal of our team and where we see ourselves heading.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 15

If you have not been watching the Lions’ defense this season, you’ve probably missed some very solid production out of fifth-year defender Charles Harris. The former Missouri star has amassed 58 total tackles, nine TFLs, and 7.5 sacks this season. Sunday, the 26-year-old dominated, producing 12 total tackles, three TFLs, and 1.5 sacks against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. Harris is an excellent starting defensive end this season and likely beyond.

Rapid Reaction: You’ve Got to be Bucc-ing Kidding…

The Buccaneers franchise is reeling after a devastating defeat that saw the team lose three key offensive pieces Sunday night. As if being blanked on the scoreboard by division rivals wasn’t bad enough, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette were all forced to depart the contest early with injuries.

2022 NFL Draft Prospects: A WR Hype Sheet for CFB Bowl Week

It’s Bowl Season, baby! For college football fans, nothing quite matches the heightened drama of often hilariously named season finales. I, for one, have reached a feverish enthusiasm. I cannot wait to begin grading prospects for my 2022 rookie drafts. I wanted to share that excitement with the #DFFArmy with a sneak peek into the market shares of some of my favorite wide receiver prospects. Consider this a “pre-Bowl” program of sorts. Let’s get to know the stars before they take center stage for their closing performances.

DeAndre Hopkins Out for the Regular Season: Rapid Reaction

DeAndre Hopkins, the perennial Top-5 finisher will finish outside of the Top-12 for the second time since leaving Houston. You can’t call his 14.72 PPR per game bad but It certainly falls short of the price tag many paid for him across every format. The dip in production has less to do with ability and more about usage and a few minor injuries. Moreover, the Cardinals have a receiving room filled with talent and haven’t needed to rely on him for most of the offensive production like the Texans had to. The explosive offense can spread around to several players on the ground or through the air and has capped Hokins’ volume and upside. He’s currently fourth in team target share.

Week 15 Dynasty Buy/Sell

Hello, fellow fantasy managers. I am Chris Miles, The Draft Director, and welcome to the first installment of my Dynasty Buy/Sells. I will be helping you determine what players value you should be taking advantage of in your dynasty leagues as we approach the fantasy playoffs and offseason. If someone’s value is too high I might tell you to sell. If I think their value will decrease soon, he could also be a sell. I will give my reasoning for why each player falls in a certain category. There will be advice for both contenders and rebuilders so whichever boat you’re in you can get information from these articles. I will attempt to have the format consistently be two buys and two sells for both rebuilds and contenders, but that may increase or decrease depending on the week.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 13

T.J. Watt is making a case for DPOY with his production on the field this season. The fifth-year pro out of Wisconsin had a massive day against the Raven, accounting for six total tackles, a TFL, a forced fumble, and 3.5 sacks of Lamar Jackson. Watt has now contributed 47 tackles, 16 TFLs and 16 sacks in his 10 games played this season. The former first-round pick is the top edge rusher in IDP fantasy football right now and will be for years to come.

Paul’s Picks: Week 14

Once again, I need to give a big shoutout to Matt (@PsychWardFF on Twitter) for taking over Paul’s Picks in Week 13. Despite his incredibly solid process, Matt had a pretty unlucky week of picks. Of course, in this totally upside-down season, we all seem to be getting more wrong than right. But this week, I’m hoping to right the ship. In many leagues, this is the final week of the fantasy regular season. In others, the playoffs have already begun. Either way, there is a lot on the line. So, let’s take a look at some names at every position that I believe will exceed expectations or fall flat in Week 14.

Redraft Waiver Wire Grind: Week 14

We’re officially just one week away from the fantasy football playoffs which means we are all, hopefully, gearing up for a deep playoff run. It all starts with establishing as high as a seed as we can this week, and hopefully a bye. But that doesn’t mean that the waiver wire activity is dead. It should be heating up to get as much crucial depth you can pile up for the run. When gearing up for the playoffs, there’s nothing that can set you back as much as a hurt running back (the highest missed game percentage among fantasy skill positions) with nothing to back it up. Although the waiver wire might not offer that league-winning running back to ride through the playoffs, you can find higher floored depth options.
