Playoff Edition: Week 15 Streamers

It’s the FANTASY FREAKING PLAYOFFS! Well, at least for most of you. What a weird season right? If you found yourself in the playoffs, give yourself a pat on the back. Now it’s time to demolish your playoff opponents and start your title run. Although you may not need to stream any positions this week, it’s essential to keep all options in mind. Some of us stream our way to the finish line. Remember Breshad Perriman from two seasons ago? Or what about Robert Tonyan and Logan Thomas last season? The point is to never stop improving your team. These streaming options below may end up helping you win a title. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.

QUARTERBACK

Streamer #1: Justin Fields vs MIN, 15.8% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  at Rams  6.7
 2  vs Bengals  3.5
 3  at Browns  3.9
 4  vs Lions  7.3
 5  at Raiders  8.8
 6  vs Packers  13.3
 7  at Buccaneers   1.2
 8  vs 49ers  25.3
 9  at Steelers  18.1
 10  BYE  WEEK
 11  vs Ravens  3.5
 12  at Lions  N/A
 13  vs Cardinals  N/A
 14  at Packers  18.4

Fields returned to action against the Bears’ arch-rival this past Sunday night, and at times, he was efficient. Although his team fell short against the Packers, the first-year pro collected 18.4 fantasy points by producing 224 passing yards, 74 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Expect around the same this week with a matchup against the Vikings on Monday Night Football. Minnesota is allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and they have allowed more than 15 fantasy points in nine of their 13 games played this year. With the big-play ability with his legs, Fields should surpass that number easily this week. As long as he can stay away from turning the ball over, he brings low-end QB1 potential as a great streaming option for Week 15.

Streamer #2: Jimmy Garoppolo vs ATL, 14.0% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  at Lions  14.8
 2  at Eagles  19.6
 3  vs Packers  14.7
 4  vs Seahawks   8.6
 5  at Cardinals  N/A
 6  BYE  WEEK
 7  vs Colts  5.2
 8  at Bears  27.3
 9  vs Cardinals  19.3
 10  vs Rams  15.4
 11  at Jaguars  15.6
 12  vs Vikings  11.2
 13  at Seahawks  16.0
 14  at Bengals  20.1

Jimmy G and the 49ers are rolling as of late. Not only has San Francisco won three out of four, but their signal-caller has topped 15 fantasy points at that same mark. Coming off one of his best games of the season last week against the Bengals, Garoppolo will take on a Falcons team that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to signal-callers in 2021. To make the matchup even more enticing, Atlanta has given up 26 fantasy points or more to the quarterback position SIX times this season! I’m not saying that Garoppolo will top that mark this week, but he has a great shot at surpassing 20. Although Fields is a great streaming option against the Vikings, Garoppolo finds himself as the top streaming option at quarterback this week.

TIGHT END

Streamer #1: Jared Cook vs KC, 48.7% owned

Week   Opponent  PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1  at WFT  10.6  8.1  5.6
 2  vs Cowboys   5.8  4.3  2.8
 3  at Chiefs  4.7  3.7  2.7
 4  vs Raiders  19.0  16.0  13.0
 5  vs Browns  3.9  3.4  2.9
 6  at Ravens  12.5  10.5  8.5
 7  BYE  BYE  BYE  BYE
 8  vs Patriots  4.5  3.5  2.5
 9  at Eagles  10.8  8.8  6.8
 10  vs Vikings  2.0  1.5  1.0
 11  vs Steelers  5.8  4.3  2.8
 12  at Broncos  10.5  9.5  8.5
 13  at Bengals  5.9  4.4  2.9
 14  vs Giants  8.8  7.8  6.8

Now that we’ve entered Week 1 of the fantasy playoffs, it’s all about being safe and sure. That’s what you can expect from Jared Cook. There aren’t a lot of great streaming options at tight end this week, and Cook may be the only safe one to throw into your lineup. He’s drawn in at least four targets in his last four games, and during that span, he’s hauled in eight receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Sure, his upside isn’t great, as Justin Herbert loves to target the trio of Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler a lot more. But like I said, Cook is a safe streaming option who almost always produces more than five PPR points a game. Expect more than that this week, as he draws an enticing matchup against the Chiefs on Thursday night. Kansas City is allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to his position this season, and they’ve allowed more than 10 PPR points to nine different tight ends on the year.

Streamer #2: Tyler Conklin at CHI, 46.2% owned

Week   Opponent  PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1  at Bengals  8.1  6.1  4.1
 2  at Cardinals  3.5  2.5  1.5
 3  vs Seahawks   20.0  16.5  13.0
 4  vs Browns  5.8  3.8  1.8
 5  vs Lions  4.5  3.5  2.5
 6  at Panthers  10.1  8.6  7.1
 7  BYE  BYE  BYE  BYE
 8  vs Cowboys  10.7  8.2  5.7
 9  at Ravens  9.5  7.0  4.5
 10  at Chargers  16.1  14.6  13.1
 11  vs Packers  6.5  5.0  3.5
 12  at 49ers  4.5  3.5  2.5
 13  at Lions  12.6  9.1  5.6
 14  vs Steelers  4.0  3.0  2.0

Like I said above, it’s hard to find a great streaming option at tight end this week. Conklin isn’t a lock to score double-digit fantasy points, but he’s certainly capable of doing so on any given week. He’s topped that mark five different times this season, and with Adam Thielen dealing with a sprained ankle, Conklin finds himself as one of the top pass-catching options for Kirk Cousins on Monday night. He’s set to line up opposite from a Bears defense that’s allowed double-digit fantasy points to the tight end position in four out of their last five games. This past week alone, they allowed Marcedes Lewis and Josiah Deguara to combine for 16.5 PPR points (yikes). Conklin feels like a safe streaming option for this week, but he isn’t the most exciting player to throw into your lineup. I’d feel a little more safe starting Cook over him here in Week 15.

D/ST

Streamer #1: Miami Dolphins vs NYJ, 43.8% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  at Patriots  5.0
 2  vs Bills  2.0
 3  at Raiders  5.0
 4  vs Colts  4.0
 5  at Buccaneers   -8.0
 6  at Jaguars  3.0
 7  vs Falcons  3.0
 8  at Bills  -1.0
 9  vs Texans  18.0
 10  vs Ravens  17.0
 11  at Jets  4.0
 12  vs Panthers  25.0
 13  vs Giants  10.0
 14  BYE  WEEK

THIS IS EASILY MY STREAM OF THE WEEK! Miami is available in more than half of ESPN leagues; which is shocking! They’ve been the second-highest scoring defense in all of fantasy football since Week 9. On top of that, they take on the New York Jets this week. Miami has scored at least 10 fantasy points in four out of their last five games. The one team that kept them from a perfect five out of five was ironically the Jets. New York has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to the D/ST position this season. With Miami still in the mix for a playoff birth, expect their defense to generate at least seven fantasy points this week. And if you’ve been following along all season, you should know that seven points is the “magic number” for a streaming defense.

Streamer #2: Philadelphia Eagles vs WFT, 26.8% owned

 Week   Opponent  Fantasy Points
 1  at Falcons  9.0
 2  vs 49ers  1.0
 3  at Cowboys  8.0
 4  vs Chiefs  -5.0
 5  at Panthers  14.0
 6  vs Buccaneers   0.0
 7  at Raiders  -2.0
 8  at Lions  20.0
 9  vs Chargers  -3.0
 10  at Broncos  14.0
 11  vs Saints  11.0
 12  at Giants  6.0
 13  at Jets  6.0
 14  BYE  WEEK

Like Miami above, Philadelphia has one of the hottest defenses in all of football. They served as the D/ST8 between Weeks 10-13. Fresh off their bye week, they find themselves with an intriguing matchup against the Washington Football Team. Just this past week, Washington allowed 22 fantasy points to the Cowboys’ defense. Taylor Heinicke is banged up, and Antonio Gibson is dealing with a fumbling issue as of late. In their past three games, Washington has turned the ball over six times. On top of that, they’ve surrendered seven sacks, two blocked kicks, and one defensive touchdown. On the other hand, Philadelphia has generated four turnovers, three sacks, and one defensive touchdown in their last three games. If you can’t find Miami’s defense in your free agency, heavily target Philadelphia’s for this week.

BONUS

Deep Stream: Albert Okwuegbunam vs CIN, 0.7% owned

Week   Opponent   PPR  Points   Half PPR Points   Standard Points
 1  at Giants  8.6  7.1  5.6
 2  at Jaguars  6.4  4.4  2.4
 3  vs Jets  1.6  1.1  0.6
 4  vs Ravens  2.1  1.6  1.1
 5  at Steelers  N/A  N/A   N/A
 6  vs Raiders  N/A  N/A  N/A
 7  at Browns  N/A  N/A  N/A
 8  vs WFT  6.4  4.9  3.4
 9  at Cowboys  6.5  4.5  2.5
 10  vs Eagles  10.7  9.2  7.7
 11  BYE  BYE  BYE  BYE
 12  vs Chargers  2.2  1.7  1.2
 13  at Chiefs  5.1  3.6  2.1
 14  vs Lions  15.1  12.6  10.1

This one is a stretch, but that’s why this is considered the “deep stream” section. Albert O has quietly been one of the better backup tight ends in all of football. Listed behind Noah Fant on Denver’s depth chart, he outproduced him this past week. In fact, Okwuegbunam led the Broncos’ receivers in fantasy points with 15.1. He’s hauled in at least three receptions in five out of his last six games played. Now he’ll take on a Bengals team that got torched this past week by George Kittle (34.1 PPR points). The Bengals have allowed at least eight PPR points to nine different tight ends this season, and as a “deep streaming” option, that’s all you can hope for. If you really find yourself in a pickle, Okwuegbunam could be a serviceable option for you to stream in Week 15.
