Projecting 2027 Dynasty Ranks: Quarterback

In Dynasty Fantasy Football, there’s an added layer of strategy that Redraft formats can’t provide. Creating a team with longevity that can compete year in and year out is the ultimate goal. It’s essential to look beyond the current season and understand where our assets are trending in the long run. Dynasty is very much a player-value game; if you can master the art of buying low and selling high, you can accrue roster value consistently. With the concept of longevity in mind, I wanted to project what the Dynasty landscape will look like two years from today. Which players will make up the Top 12 from each position as we head into the 2027 season? This exercise should help us identify the top ascending assets in college and the NFL today. It should also tell us which players we may want to consider moving in the next year or two. This series will be broken into four parts for each fantasy position. All my rankings will be based on a Dynasty, Superflex, Tight End Premium format with four-point passing touchdowns. We’ll start with the quarterback position for this article.

Dynasty Football Factory League of Record: Startup Draft – Round 3

Not much in the way of trades as we moved through Round 3 but our first rookies came off the board at 3.04 (Ashton Jeanty) and 3.06 (Tet McMillan). Tet would later be moved via a blockbuster deal between @FFDelly and @DFF_MR – full download below. We also witnessed two more TEs drafted at the top of Round 3 as both @dirrim23 and @DFF_MR opted to lock down top-tier options with the Tight End Premium and take full advantage of the Third Round Reversal benefit. The DFF League of Record Startup Draft continues with Part 3 of 5.

Dynasty Superflex TEP Mock: First Round

We’re only three weeks into the 2024 NFL season, but enough has changed within the Dynasty Fantasy Football landscape that I felt it would be a fun exercise to run through my own startup mock draft. This mock will be based on a Dynasty Superflex, Tight End Premium format. I’ll run through the first round (12 picks) in this article, but keep an eye out for Part 2, where I’ll cover my second-round guys!

Biggest Dynasty Fallers: 2024 Training Camp

Welcome back for part two of this two-part series, where we’ll be covering the five biggest fallers in Dynasty value over the past 30 days, according to KeepTradeCut. If you missed part one, discussing the biggest risers, you can check that article out here. We’ve already received tons of news on players and depth charts as training camp is underway, resulting in some fluctuation in Dynasty value and potential NFL lines so be sure to visit the Ohio Sportsbook. Below, I’ll explain why the market has cooled on each of these five players and then discuss whether I believe the value change is warranted.

Offenses to Avoid in 2023

Even the most talented of NFL players can see their fantasy production fall victim to horrid offenses. We’ve seen great football players like D.J. Moore, Jonathan Taylor, or the entire 2022 Broncos’ offense who enter year after year with loads of hype, but ultimately fail to meet our expectations in fantasy football due to the situation of their offense as a whole. Today, we’ll project which NFL offenses could spawn fantasy disappointment in 2023.

Comparing ADP, Dynasty to Redraft: AFC East

A much-overlooked aspect of Dynasty is value comparison, or comparing the values of Dynasty players to Redraft players and seeing which is worth more or less. You might be thinking “well, duh! Of course, older players are worth less in Dynasty than Redraft!” to which I agree. But what about Daniel Jones (QB – NYJ), who is only 25 years old? Should he be worth more in Redraft or Dynasty? Or how about Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DEN), who in Redraft has an ADP of WR10, but in Dynasty he’s valued as WR6. Which side more appropriately values players? In this series, which will take place over eight parts (one part for each division), I’ll be evaluating every skill position player on every team and giving my thoughts on their value, whether they are overvalued compared to Redraft or undervalued. Usually, the appropriate value will be somewhere in the middle.

Overlooked Gems: NFC East

In this continued offseason series, we will break down one player from each NFL team who is currently being overlooked. At the same time, that player could provide great depth/potential to a deep dynasty league roster. These players are worth picking up if they are in your free agency. They are also players you may want to reconsider keeping if they are fringe roster cut options. I will try to convince you why they are worth a roster spot for now.

Early ’23 Rookie QB Rankings: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Pt. 3

We’ve officially passed the NFL draft declaration date and we know who exactly our fresh batch of rookie picks will be. That means no more Twitter speculation and narratives about who will declare. (Looking at you Stroud.) Sure it’s a little early to rank without draft capital. Luckily, we have plenty of numerical data from the regular season we can look at using KPIs based from DFF’s very own Chris Miles. Using the points from his model and tales from the tape, I’ll break down this highly touted rookie class by discussing The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of each prospect.
