DFS Week 11 Recap

We’re now through Week 11 in the NFL and things are still never as they seem. A game that was a predicted shootout in Kansas City vs Dallas showed to be a complete bust. Josh Allen once again failed to exploit a weak secondary, and Ryan Tannehill threw four interceptions against the Texans. With that being said, let’s see how my weekly DFS picks played out!

QUARTERBACKS

To start, let’s look at how my quarterback picks performed this weekend. Josh Allen was the highest-priced quarterback on the week and he was a slight disappointment, scoring only 18.16 DK points. This was good for the 12th highest performance during the main slate. Another player who was seemingly in a smash spot was quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill also was a letdown as he threw four interceptions leading to 16.22 DK points and 13th amongst quarterbacks. This was another tough week for quarterbacks, as Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Dak Prescott all scored 10 DK points or less.

RUNNING BACKS

Next, let’s evaluate the running back plays of the week. Jonathan Taylor was electric as he lit up the Buffalo Bills and their top-rated defense amassing 56 DK points. This was the highest mark for all players this season. If you chose Taylor for your lineups, you’re certainly happy. Joe Mixon was the second-highest scorer on the main slate putting up 27.3 DK points. Nick Chubb and Dalvin Cook were another two players I highlighted this week and they did not disappoint. Chubb had 130 yards on the ground and an additional 14 yards receiving and a receiving touchdown. Cook had 86 yards rushing and a touchdown with an additional three receptions and 29 receiving yards. The biggest letdown of the week was Jeff Wilson. Wilson received a promising 20 touches but fell short of 7 DK points.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Davante Adams was the top-priced receiver and he had a solid performance. Adams had seven receptions for 115 yards and two scores. My top value pick, Elijah Moore, produced eight receptions for 141 and a score. Other favorite players in Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, and Deebo Samuel put up respectable numbers scoring 20, 18.3, and 16.4 DK points. Unfortunately for  A.J. Brown and CeeDee Lamb, both players’ performances were halted due to injury. This is something you cannot predict and of course, we hope for quick recoveries.

TIGHT ENDS

Lastly, my coverage of tight-ends. My top play at the position, Travis Kelce, was a solid pay-up play and scored 18.8 DK points. George Kittle was the next play and he also was reliable, scoring 13.4 DK Points. Dan Arnold was the biggest disappointment as he failed to even see a target this week.
