DFS Week 10 Recap

We’re now through Week 10 in the NFL. Things certainly haven’t gone as expected this year and this week is proof of that. The Patriots blew out the Browns, the Steelers tied the Lions, Washington topped the Buccaneers, and the Cardinals lost to the Panthers. If this keeps continuing, my pockets will be dry sooner than later! With that being said, let’s see how my weekly DFS picks played out!

QUARTERBACKS

To start, let’s look at how my quarterback picks performed this weekend. Dak Prescott was the highest-scoring quarterback on the week, scoring 26.34 DK points. He was then followed by Josh Allen and Trevor Siemian who scored 24.92 and 19.92 DK points. This week was a tough week for quarterbacks, as only two players scored over 20 DK points. My letdowns of the week were quite disappointing. Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson, and Carson Wentz all produced embarrassingly low numbers despite having encouraging matchups.

RUNNING BACKS

Next, let’s evaluate the running back plays of the week. Jonathan Taylor was the second-highest scoring RB and produced 27.6 DK points. Running backs D’Ernest Johnson and Mark Ingram did the most with their opportunity as both players topped 20 DK points, providing immense value as both players cost under 5k. Dalvin Cook and Najee Harris, players who cost 8k and 7.9k on DK, scored a total of 20.8 and 20.3 points, which was right behind the likes of Johnson and Ingram. The biggest letdowns of the week were Austin Ekeler and Aaron Jones. Both Ekeler and Jones fell short of 15 DK points.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Another uncharacteristic main slate for wide receivers in Week 10. Only five receivers were able to top 20 DK points. As for my picks, none finished with more than 15. Davante Adams, Diontae Johnson, and Mike Evans all scored 14 DK points. Michael Pittman Jr. and Mike Williams were right behind them at a total of 12.1 and 7.3 DK points. As a whole, the receivers this week were a complete letdown and gave us no leverage.

TIGHT ENDS

Lastly, my coverage of tight-ends. My top play at the position, Dan Arnold, was a great ‘punt’ play and scored 13.7 DK points. Arnold had a 3.5k price that allowed you to make room for higher-priced players at other positions. The biggest letdown at the position was T.J. Hockenson who put up a goose egg. Hockenson failed to haul in his lone target as his quarterback Jared Goff had a rough day.
