2026 NFL Draft Coverage: Cole Payton

Cole Payton took a big step forward in 2025 when he finally got the keys to the offense full-time.

He finished the season completing 71.9% of his passes for 2,719 yards, with a 16-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio. On top of that, he averaged 12.1 yards per attempt, which tells you he wasn’t just taking easy throws. He was pushing the ball downfield.

What really adds to his profile is what he can do with his legs. He added 777 rushing yards, which shows he’s not just mobile; he’s a real part of the run game.

This was a big jump for him, especially after being used more in a limited role earlier in his career. In 2025, he showed he can handle being the guy.

When you’re scouting a quarterback, it’s not about what happened. It’s about why it happened. And with Cole Payton, the traits are what stand out.

Makai Lemon

2026 NFL Draft Coverage: Makai Lemon

Lemon began his college career as a highly touted recruit who had the ability on both sides of the ball. After an underwhelming Freshman year, questions were raised if he would be converted to CB full time. Lemon took a major step forward with a productive Sophomore year.

A Biletnikoff Award winner, Lemon finished his 2025 campaign with 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was arguably the most efficient receiver in the Big Ten, particularly against zone coverage, where he posted an elite 90.1 PFF grade.

FILM

Lemon wins with nuanced footwork and a “fearless” approach between the hashes and excels in yards after the catch. He is highly skilled at manipulating defensive leverage, using subtle cuts to create separation that his long speed alone would not generate. His soft hands and ability to fight for the ball in contested situations make him a reliable chain-mover on 3rd downs and a safety net for his QB.

Comparing ADP, Dynasty to Redraft: NFC East

A much-overlooked aspect of Dynasty is value comparison, or comparing the values of Dynasty players to Redraft players and seeing which is worth more or less. You might be thinking, “Well, duh! Of course, older players are worth less in Dynasty than Redraft!” I agree! But what about Daniel Jones (QB – NYJ), who is only 26 years old? Should he be worth more in Redraft or Dynasty? Or how about Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DEN), who in Redraft has an ADP of WR10, but in Dynasty, he’s valued as WR6. Which side more appropriately values players? In this series, which will take place over eight parts (one part for each division), I’ll evaluate every skill position player on every team and give my thoughts on their value, whether they are overvalued compared to Redraft or undervalued. Usually, the appropriate value will be somewhere in the middle.

Best Rookie Landing Spots

Can’t you feel the excitement as we get closer to the draft? With free agency winding down, we now start to see the core of what each of these NFL teams will look like when we get into the fall. There is still one more piece to the puzzle though and if you play dynasty then it is probably amongst your favorite NFL events of the year—the NFL Draft. While I have learned not to take too much from the landing spot, I think many of us are still hurting from Clyde Edwards-Helaire in 2020. It does have an impact though and we would be foolish to ignore it. I find the best practice is to have everyone divided into tiers before the NFL Draft, then move players within a tier instead of jumping them an entire tier based on landing spot. We also have draft capital to consider but that is beyond the scope of what we will be discussing today. Let’s dig in!

Where We Went Wrong: Zach Wilson & Jalen Hurts

NFL teams every single year find themselves in one of two camps at this time. Those that have their Quarterback for the future and those that do not. Those that don’t are frequently tasked with drafting a quarterback, one of the most challenging parts of a General Manager’s job in the NFL. Over the years we have had plenty of decisions that get questioned for years to come. Ken O’Brien over Dan Marino or Peyton Manning over Ryan Leaf, the differences these selections make are truly franchise-altering decisions. This process is mimicked often in the Dynasty Football space as we sit and try to evaluate the talent and project how they will perform at the NFL level. Longevity is an important trait of Quarterbacks taken in the first round of our Superflex rookie drafts like NFL teams. We may tend in the Fantasy circles to like mobile Quarterbacks a bit more than the NFL thanks to their rushing floor but mostly want the same things NFL teams want in signal callers. Sometimes we hit, Andrew Luck was exactly what we thought he was coming out of college. Sometimes we miss though. Today’s two cases we will discuss that we as a community were wrong on.

Super Bowl DFS Preview

Here I am writing my first article for Dynasty Football Factory and I am not even writing about dynasty fantasy football. Instead today we are going to discuss another love of mine, daily fantasy. Specifically, for the Super Bowl LVII Draft Kings Showdown slate. For those that are not familiar with the single-game showdown slate format, it is pretty easy to learn and fun to play as well. Instead of the usual classic lineup starting a QB, two RBs, three WRs, a TE, a FLEX, and a D/ST, we have a captain and five flex spots. Whoever you choose in your captain role will cost 1.5 times their salary and their points will be multiplied by 1.5. Note that these are not traditional flex spots, these can also be quarterbacks, kickers, or defense/special teams. Then just build the best lineup you can with a $50,000 budget.

How is it Week 3 already? Hopefully, the season has started out great for your fantasy team(s) thus far. If not, now’s the time to turn things around. It’s getting to be about that time of year when you need to stream a position or two. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind that each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN. Below, you will find two streamers per position and a “deep stream” option (15% or lower) as well.

Winners and Losers of the A.J. Brown Trade

On Thursday, April 28th, at approximately 10:00 PM ET, A.J. Brown was traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles for the 18th overall pick and a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. After this blockbuster deal, we need to recalibrate our expectations for every offensive player in Philadelphia and Tennessee. Who benefits the most, and whose stock is moving in the wrong direction?
