We are a handful of days away from the start of the 2026 NFL Season, and betting on Pro Football Moneylines for those of you who dabble. And, boy, I think we deserve it. No more rumours. No more camp clips. No more rookie hype. It’s time. Now, any diligent dynasty manager would have completed his business a long time ago. But, like an English Premier League Club on Transfer Deadline Day, it’s not too late to get some last-minute deals over the line. Here are some of my favorite buy-low candidates heading into the season.

Dynasty Quarterbacks to Buy and Sell

Welcome back for the fourth and final edition of my Dynasty Buys and Sells series. If you missed any of the prior three articles, you can check them out below:

Dynasty Running Backs to Buy and Sell
Dynasty Tight Ends to Buy and Sell
Dynasty Wide Receivers to Buy and Sell

In today’s article, I’ll look at which quarterbacks you should target or sell in dynasty before the season, based on where your team currently stands. Let’s dive right in. 

Step 1: Figure out what your team is. (Based on 12-team leagues)

Top tier: Projected top 4 team in your league, legit contender
Middle tier: Projected to finish between spots 5-8 in your league
Bottom tier: Projected to finish in the bottom 4 of your league
Top Tier

If you are a top-tier team, hopefully you have a top-6 quarterback (Allen, Maye, Williams, Jackson, Daniels, Burrow). If you don’t, I would be trading for one of the following guys:

Patrick Mahomes: Early-1st Round
Jalen Hurts: Early-1st Round
Dak Prescott: Mid-1st Round
Jared Goff: Late-1st Round
Matthew Stafford: Early-2nd Round

They all have top-8 potential but are valued outside the top 8 because of their age. I would move the following guys to acquire one of the names listed above: Cam Ward, Tyler Shough, Fernando Mendoza, Jordan Love.

Which Quarterbacks Can Average 20+ FPPG in 2026?

The goal of this article is to find what the makeup of an elite fantasy football quarterback is. I am looking for quarterbacks who score 20+ PPR a game, which is about the top 6 each year.

Since 2010, we have had 17 quarterbacks with multiple seasons of 20+ PPR. These quarterbacks make up 71/80 seasons since 2010. We have had 9 quarterbacks only do it once so far. Some of those guys that are still playing and could join the list of 17 are: Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Baker Mayfield.

Now, the list of 17 quarterbacks who have been elite since 2010.

Projecting Top Fantasy QBs for 2026

In this article, I’ll be reviewing data from the past four seasons to predict the next top 12 fantasy football quarterbacks. I started by analyzing the top 12 quarterbacks by points per game in each season for the past 4 seasons, identifying a total of 26 players.

Next, I focused on quarterbacks who achieved multiple top 12 seasons — not just one-hit wonders. This narrowed the list to 15 total quarterbacks.

These are the 15 guys I will be looking at closely in this article. 

    • 15/15 averaged more than 23 PPR in their best college season
    • 15/15 threw for more than 5000 yards in their college career
    • 15/15 threw for more than 40 touchdowns in their college career
    • 14/15 passed for more than 175 yards a game (Hurts)
    • 14/15 rushed for more than 10 yards a game (Goff)

  • 14/15 averaged more than 20 PPR a game in their college career (Love)
  • 14/15 had more than 2 touchdowns to interceptions ratio (Jones)
  • 14/15 had more than 300 rushing yards in college (Goff)

Reviewing My Top Dynasty Exposures

If you’re a portfolio dynasty player (I’d put the threshold at around eight or more leagues), it’s worth periodically checking your overall dynasty exposures to make sure your ownership percentages actually reflect your player takes. Tracking player exposure helps you identify where you’re underweight and looking to add, and who you might want to sell to avoid being over-leveraged. I use Dynasty Data Lab for this, and the dynasty offseason is the perfect window to review your exposures.  In today’s article, I’ll break down my top 10 most-owned players and share my thoughts on each from a dynasty perspective. To keep this article focused solely on impact players, I’ll just be looking at the first 12 rounds of startup ADP. 1. Harold Fannin (TE – CLE) – 41.2% ownership Fannin was a major third-round target for me in last year’s dynasty rookie drafts, coming off the most productive tight end season in college football history. He was overlooked due to his athletic limitations and the poor competition he faced at Bowling Green (both legitimate concerns), but the discount was simply too large, considering his production profile. I’m thrilled to have so many shares of what I believe is a clear Top 5 dynasty TE, and I acquired most of these shares for a fraction of his current price.  2. Projecting 2027 Dynasty Ranks: Quarterback

In Dynasty Fantasy Football, there’s an added layer of strategy that Redraft formats can’t provide. Creating a team with longevity that can compete year in and year out is the ultimate goal. It’s essential to look beyond the current season and understand where our assets are trending in the long run. Dynasty is very much a player-value game; if you can master the art of buying low and selling high, you can accrue roster value consistently. With the concept of longevity in mind, I wanted to project what the Dynasty landscape will look like two years from today. Which players will make up the Top 12 from each position as we head into the 2027 season? This exercise should help us identify the top ascending assets in college and the NFL today. It should also tell us which players we may want to consider moving in the next year or two. This series will be broken into four parts for each fantasy position. The DFF Team volleys content ideas regularly in search of compelling articles at pertinent times. And though we’ve found our focus primarily on the 2025 NFL Rookie Prospects as of late, I asked the squad to pull together a mock start-up for the first five rounds. As the ideas started to percolate, @FFChalmers threw out the notion to not only cover the genesis of a startup draft, as we have done so many times in the past, but this time to make it an actual league. Welcome to Week 1 DFS, and congrats once again for making it through the offseason. Week 1 DFS is one of the most fun slates of the year for many reasons. Firstly, we have a lot of people playing DFS that will not be in future weeks. These people are putting in lineups without correlations or because they like this guy or that guy, and their lineups are dead on arrival. They are doing us all a favor by paying the rake for us.
