Projecting Top Fantasy QBs for 2026

In this article, I’ll be reviewing data from the past four seasons to predict the next top 12 fantasy football quarterbacks. I started by analyzing the top 12 quarterbacks by points per game in each season for the past 4 seasons, identifying a total of 26 players.

Next, I focused on quarterbacks who achieved multiple top 12 seasons — not just one-hit wonders. This narrowed the list to 15 total quarterbacks.

    • 15/15 averaged more than 23 PPR in their best college season
    • 15/15 threw for more than 5000 yards in their college career
    • 15/15 threw for more than 40 touchdowns in their college career
    • 14/15 passed for more than 175 yards a game (Hurts)
    • 14/15 rushed for more than 10 yards a game (Goff)

  • 14/15 averaged more than 20 PPR a game in their college career (Love)
  • 14/15 had more than 2 touchdowns to interceptions ratio (Jones)
  • 14/15 had more than 300 rushing yards in college (Goff)

The State of QBs & TEs in Early 2026 Startups

Can you smell that? Yep, it’s startup season. Most of the big names on the market have found new homes via free agency, so some player values have shifted since the end of the 2025 season. And they’ll shift again soon, with the NFL Draft less than a month away.  After jumping into some 2026 startups recently, I wanted to share my thoughts on the quarterback and tight end markets. Here’s what I’m seeing at those two spots with some suggestions on how to attack them in drafts.  Quarterbacks The number of quarterbacks being selected in round one of Superflex drafts is as low as I’ve seen in years. Gone are the days of six or seven signal-callers flying off the board early. Managers want the elite running backs and wide receivers at the top and are willing to bypass QBs to get them. Right now, it’s Josh Allen and Drake Maye as the only constants, and even those guys are slipping in some instances. I just got Allen at pick 1.04 in a startup, then followed it up with Lamar Jackson at 2.09! Imagine getting that duo just one or two years ago — you would’ve had to trade away most of your middle-round selections to make that happen. After Allen and Maye, you’ll usually see Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, or Caleb Williams go later in the round, but I’ve also seen them fall to the second. Hard to hate the value there. If you’ve ever wanted Patrick Mahomes, I’ve got good news for you: he’s never been cheaper.

Dynasty Football Factory League of Record: Startup Draft – Round 5

We saw yet another trade fest in Round 5 as 8 picks were acquired via transaction. I have to say that Rounds 1-3 played out pretty much as I expected but when we hit Rounds 4-5, that’s when the party started. As we progressed through the rest of the draft, the high level of activity continued and everybody pretty much agreed that the league was expected to be among the most active whether owners had small volume or crazy volume (40+ for yours truly). Vet Values: Week 13

If you lost Joe Burrow and need a legitimate QB1 to give your team the necessary upside to win a championship, Dak is your guy. There is no better top-tier quarterback from a Dynasty price versus projected points perspective. Dak has been on an absolute frenzy lately, putting up 25 or more fantasy points in five of the last six games and facing a favorable schedule down the stretch. Dak is having a career year and could be the very piece you need to win a championship in 2023.

All the time you put into the offseason making trades, draft picks, and waiver claims will come to fruition. Enjoy these next few months of the football season. Before you know it, we will watch the Super Bowl and begin another offseason. Bold Predictions for 2023 Dynasty

Bold prediction articles are some of my favorite types of content to research before drafts. In preparing for my drafts, I always have specific players I want to target who I believe are values vs. their average draft position. Bold prediction articles highlight these players that analysts make cases for being better than their ADP. Do I expect the bold prediction to come true? No. But directionally, the goal is for that player to outperform their ADP. If the bold part of it comes true, that is just the proverbial cherry on top.

Comparing ADP, Dynasty to Redraft: NFC East

A much-overlooked aspect of Dynasty is value comparison, or comparing the values of Dynasty players to Redraft players and seeing which is worth more or less. You might be thinking, “Well, duh! Of course, older players are worth less in Dynasty than Redraft!” I agree! But what about Daniel Jones (QB – NYJ), who is only 26 years old? Should he be worth more in Redraft or Dynasty? Or how about Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DEN), who in Redraft has an ADP of WR10, but in Dynasty, he’s valued as WR6. Which side more appropriately values players? In this series, which will take place over eight parts (one part for each division), I’ll evaluate every skill position player on every team and give my thoughts on their value, whether they are overvalued compared to Redraft or undervalued. Usually, the appropriate value will be somewhere in the middle.

Rapid Reaction: Brandin Cooks to Dallas

Narrative irony is one of the more underrated elements of professional sports leagues. In a poetically hilarious move, the Dallas Cowboys recently acquired journeyman receiver Brandin Cooks from the Houston Texans. The deal is eerily similar to a move made last offseason by Dallas, in which star receiver Amari Cooper was shipped off in a cap dump trade for an almost identical package of draft picks. Thus, this move is seemingly a downgrade talent-wise, as well as an admittance that moving on from Cooper in 2022 was the wrong decision.
