Dynasty Analysis
The 2023 offseason promises significant changes to the running back landscape in the NFL. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll go over my predictions for the running back situations of each team, as well as the corresponding fantasy implications.
Thursday Night Football is back with the final midweek showcase of the 2022 season. The Cowboys (11-4) hit the road for a cross-conference matchup against the Titans (7-8) who will be without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and franchise running back Derrick Henry while also resting most of their starters on defense as they look towards the AFC South winner-takes-all match against the Jaguars in Week 18.
It’s championship week here in the fantasy football community. Streaming options are getting worse and worse as the season goes on. Although there are a decent amount of solid streamers at quarterback this week, the tight ends are a different story.
Opportunity is king in fantasy football. Tracking player volume and snaps each season helps managers get ahead of coaching trends while making advanced moves on the trade market and waiver wires. In this recurring weekly series, we will look at all 32 teams’ most notable market shares (percentage of team output) in targets, opportunities, and rushing/receiving production. One game remains in the fantasy football season, so let’s dive into some exciting usage data around the NFL as we prepare for the final slate of games.
Injuries are inevitable in fantasy football. How you prepare and react to them can make or break your fantasy team. Did you build a bench with sufficient depth to withstand the running back carousel? How do you pivot if a key player goes on injured reserve? Each week we will look at the most impactful injuries in the fantasy world and what players will step up their fantasy production as a result.
I had a thought today – why do we as Dynasty players not value injuries enough? Let me explain – players who we know are good or marginally good see their production fall after being injured. Instead of simply understanding that human bodies do not perform at their best when injured, the analytics community cites advanced or semi-advanced metrics as the explanation for the decreased production instead of the decreased production as simply a byproduct of injury.
The second round of the playoffs brings great excitement and questionable players to start. For those of you that invested in Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, or Kyler Murray, you’re likely turning to a streaming quarterback to carry you through the postseason. And if you don’t have Travis Kelce, you’re probably entertaining the idea of streaming a tight end as well. It’s do-or-die time, so make sure you take a look at ALL of your options, even if you may have all the answers already on your team. Remember, we always provide the best players to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Each streaming option will have ownership under 60%, according to ESPN. Below, you will find two streamers per position and a “deep stream” option (15% or lower). Let’s stream our way into the next round of the fantasy playoffs together!
Thursday Night Football is here to showcase an AFC playoff matchup with unexpected playoff implications. The 6-8 Jaguars are visiting the 7-7 Jets in a game that could really boost the odds of making the playoffs for one of these teams. The betting lines favor the Jets by only 2.5 points with the Over/Under scoring total set at 37.

This article will be a small case study on QB rushing post-fractured ankles. I’m looking only at bone breaks here, as the recovery time and/or the treatments available for them have not seemed to change drastically in the last couple of decades, compared with ACL injuries, Achilles tendon injuries, or soft tissue injuries. Investigating these injuries further and how they pertain to this case study would require a medical degree, and I am simply not qualified. Another thing I will avoid looking too deeply at is future value change in relation to bone breaks, as this article would be a lot shorter if I investigated that. Spoiler alert: buy injured players – their value almost always goes back up after the initial dip, but that’s an article for another time.
HERE WE GO! It’s Week 1 of the playoffs for most of you! There are a ton of fantasy managers scrambling to find some great streaming options here in Week 14. The quarterback position may be the most important, as players like Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, Marcus Mariota, Jimmy Garoppolo, Matthew Stafford, and Kenny Pickett are all likely to miss this week. This week features some high-ceiling players, some low-risk/safe players, and some deeper league/shot-in-the-dark, players. Remember, we always provide the best players to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Each streaming option will have ownership under 60%, according to ESPN. Many managers were very disappointed after starting Watson in the last two weeks, expecting the dynamic scrambling quarterback to return close to full form but instead receiving lackluster production. I’m sure we’ve all heard the expression “shaking off the rust,” but was it predictable how poorly Watson performed on his first couple of games back?
Thursday Night Football is back with an NFC West showcase as the 49ers (9-4) make a short trip to face the Seahawks (7-6) in a must-win game for the hometown team. Betting lines favor the visiting 49ers by a slim 3.0 points with the projected Over/Under scoring total set at 43.5.

We don’t just approach the holidays and the end of the year, but the close to another Fantasy season. Playoffs begin for the winners and losers are probably playing their way out of league punishments. But if you’re like me and staring at a few rosters that definitely won’t make the cut and wondering what happened. This gives us the perfect opportunity for a little autopsy of the 2022 Fantasy landscape.

The consensus has dropped him quite a bit, with him being the WR37 on KeepTradeCut. This seems to be the general consensus around Bateman, with guys like Jahan Dotson, Christian Kirk, and Gabe Davis all leapfrogging him in perceived value over the course of this year. The dynasty community has seemingly abandoned Bateman for the most part.
Hello DFF members, my name is Chris and this year I will be writing the weekly dynasty waiver adds piece. In this article I will be writing about players that I feel should be owned in much higher quantities in your dynasty leagues. I will try to stick to low ownership percentages, around 30% or less, but if there is a guy above that who I think should be owned significantly more, I will include them as well. I will be focusing on a 12-team, full PPR, Superflex set-up for these articles but the players I am choosing should apply in 10-team leagues as well. Without further ado, let’s get into the waiver adds.
The Falcons selected Ridder with the 10th pick of the 3rd round, making him the second quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL Draft behind Kenny Pickett. Ridder’s mid-round draft capital and middling collegiate profile leave much to be desired but his other-worldly athleticism is more than enough to warrant interest for fantasy purposes. Quarterbacks in Ridder’s tier of career trajectories rarely outperform their supposed hit rates. Managers should tread with caution when placing investments into the stock of third-round developmental prospects that could be replaced as early as the first round in the 2023 NFL draft.
Thursday Night Football is back with a cross-conference clash as the Raiders (5-7) travel to face the Rams (3-9). NFL Betting Odds favor the visiting Raiders by a whopping 6.5 points with the projected Over/Under scoring total set at 42.5.
