Every NFL offseason seems to come with its controversies, and this year's theme seems to be the "devaluing of the running back position", as many NFL owners have quietly taken the stance to not pay for the running back position. We've seen several running backs voice their displeasure with the current running back market, and it looks like more will step up and speak out. Even the free agent running back market has screeched to a crawl. Running backs like Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, and Austin Ekeler have been highlighted this offseason as backs who have not been given what they are worth. It's especially troubling when you consider how central they are to their respective offenses.
