Trending Up and Trending Down: Running Backs
Dynasty never ends and that is one of many things that makes it great. Sleeper has a section called “Trending Up and Trending Down”. I find it interesting what people are trending on since we are now at the beginning of the non-scoring season for all players. This is the first part of a series that I am going to continue throughout the off-season. Sleeper supports many different types of leagues so it’s unknown what people’s motivations are for their roster moves. Let’s take a look at who’s trending: Trending Up (Being added to rosters) Mike Weber–Kansas City Chiefs RB (Practice Squad) I had to double-check this was the same Mike Weber drafted by the Dallas Cowboys this year. Weber had a fair share of hype coming out of college but then was outshined in the preseason by fellow rookie Tony Pollard. After being cut and making his way through waivers, Weber appeared on the Cowboys’ practice squad before Week 1. He has now signed with the Chiefs and could see some playoff experience if there are injures. People are adding anyone who may play running back for the Chiefs, hoping to catch lightning in the bottle. Weber could be that lightning with a change of scenery. In his three years at Ohio St, he ran for nearly 6 yards a carry and was averaging 5.5 yards per reception as well.
