Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: San Francisco 49ers

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (off-season edition). I don’t know if we’ve seen a crazier free agency than the one we are currently witnessing! We as Dynasty Managers need to be evaluating the off-season transactions and thinking about our roster adjustments every day. Who are we going to target in rookie drafts? Who are we going to go out and trade for? Who are we willing to give up in return? Will you go all in this season to bring home a championship? Or should you go young and prepare for the future? There’s so much to think about before September. The “off-season edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down as we head into draft season. We will break down each NFL team one by one. Today is all about the San Francisco 49ers.

Dynasty Trading Psychology: It Pays To Advertise

Trading is the lifeblood of Dynasty Fantasy Football. Most of us would prefer to be in a league full of active and attentive owners where lots of trades go down. Unfortunately, that is often not the case, and even in some of the best leagues, there are usually at least one or two owners that are hard to reach (for any number of reasons) and that are hard to make deals with. I don’t know if I have ever gone through a startup draft or a rookie draft where there wasn’t at least one instance of someone reaching out to me and saying.

Dynasty Market Sweep: Quarterback Carousel Part 1

Welcome to the Dynasty Market Sweep, a weekly recurring offseason article focusing on substantial value disparities in the dynasty market consensus. The very nature of the instantaneous fantasy news feed has made the dynasty market more reactionary and volatile than ever before. Once the proverbial petrol is poured and Twitter fingers snap to ignite, player values can burn to the ground overnight. Value changes of this nature cause a ripple effect across the market. For every step up the ladder, someone must move down and vice versa.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: Dallas Cowboys

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (offseason edition). We are just a few months away from all of the offseason madness, as teams prepare for free agency and the NFL Draft. Meanwhile, we as dynasty managers need to be preparing as well. Who are we going to target in rookie drafts? Who are we going to go out and trade for? Who are we willing to give up in return? Will you go all in this season to bring home a championship? Or should you go young and prepare for the future? There’s so much to think about before September. DFF: Off-Season Strategy Vol. 1

Your dynasty league season just ended and now you are faced with the tough question, what do I do now? This article will detail the process I go through with each of my dynasty teams at the start of each off-season. This analysis helps me to more easily make moves that will benefit my plans for the future of my team. This process also helps prevent me from making moves that contradict the current goal of my team. tigh end adp gains

The Gains of Tight End ADP

Everyone wants to find the edge in fantasy football. Sometimes the edge is glaring at you from across the room, and you just fail to notice it; or in this case, everyone fails to notice. Everyone is enamored with top-tier running backs and quarterbacks because of the positional advantage they give your team. We should be looking at the difference in production between a top player at a position and the bottom end starter at the same position, but we need to set some criteria for this study to have the most helpful results.

The Hybrid Startup Strategy and Results

Here at DFF, we completed a startup dynasty league draft with a unique format that few had tried before. But few will willingly go back to a standard snake draft after experiencing the thrill of the hybrid setup. This was a shallow, 12-team league including a Superflex starting roster and tight end premium scoring. The unique format of this draft is that we started with a partial auction, then rounded out the rosters with the standard snake-style.

The (R)evolution of the Rushing Quarterback on Late Round QB Strategy

A few weeks ago, I was scrolling the Twitter timeline and saw several tweets about the value of rushing quarterbacks, and how the “Late Round QB” (LRQB) strategy in fantasy football (popularised by JJ Zachariason) was on the wane. Seemingly, the consensus was that capturing the upside that rushing quarterbacks bring to your lineup, was worth the opportunity cost of selecting one in the early to middle rounds of your draft. As a fervent proponent of the LRQB theory, my immediate thought was to dismiss it, but my curiosity got the better of me – so I went to the data to see what I could find.

A Guide to Creating Your Own Fantasy Database

After consuming fantasy content, do you find yourself keeping fantasy notes on your phone? Do you bring your own personal rankings to your draft? Are you making spreadsheets for important stats as you prep for your rookie drafts? Do you fill-up notebooks analyzing your league mates’ tendencies? Are you taking pages of notes as you break down film on Odell Beckham Jr. or DJ Moore? If this sounds familiar, making your own database could give you the upper hand over your competition.

Why You Shouldn’t Over-Think Preseason Performances

Before we start, I know a lot of people already take preseason performances with a pinch of salt, but I am targeting the rest of people with this who see that [profiler]Damoun Patterson[/profiler] had a huge game and they start drafting him in leagues way above his ADP. Quarterbacks Okay, now quarterbacks are probably the

Redraft Roundtable: Undervalued players in 2018

Last month, the Redraft Roundtable team gave you a list of overvalued players for 2018. These were guys who have high ADP’s this season or players that we are staying away from because of their bust potential. Now, Anthony Zaragoza, Mitch Lawson, Aaron Larson, and John DiBari give you their picks, at each position, for
