Week 14 Streamers

For most of you, this is the FINAL week before the fantasy football playoffs start. You may have to rely on a streamer to push you over the edge and into the postseason. Make sure to consider these streaming options below when finalizing your final starting lineup of the regular season. Put Me In, Coach!

As the 2021-2022 NFL season nears an inevitable end, there are several players we, as fantasy managers wish were given more opportunity. When the process pays off, we all feel unexplainable gratitude, and our favorite rookie/sophomore sleeper wakes up mid-season. When the player hits, we get to carry our heads high with righteousness, knowing deep-down we are all smarter than NFL scouts and GMs.

2022 DFF Superflex Rookie Mock Draft 1.0

Six members of the DFF Army got together to conduct an early Superflex 2022 Rookie Mock Draft, everyone doubled up on teams to make it reflect a 12-team league and, for fairness of randomly generated draft spot we decided to pick in a snake format, rather than the typical fixed order that rookie drafts are conducted in. I will also provide some insights on the picks based on my personal analysis.

Rookie Stock Report: Final

I’m not saying Mac Jones is the next Patrick Mahomes or even Justin Herbert. But he’s now a solid prospect with the potential to have a very safe floor for a long time. Think Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr. Neither of them makes you feel giddy but you don’t want to undersell a sneaky QB1 or high-end QB2. Mac Jones may not be a Lamar Jackson-type fantasy darling but he is a  quality “real” quarterback that you shouldn’t worry about losing his job anytime soon. The Patriots are back in the playoff hunt and much of that success is due to the rookie’s success.

The top four seeds advanced to the league playoffs that started Thursday night. Some prize money will be locked up this weekend and that is very exciting! There are still a couple of weeks left to go in Dynasty but the trade deadline has passed since my last article and there are lots of moves to go over.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 12

Rasul Douglas had another remarkable game at cornerback against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. In his effort, Douglas accrued six total tackles, defended four passes, and took an interception to the house in Lambeau Field on Sunday. Douglas is a great option in BestBall leagues and is in a prime position to contribute in the IDP playoffs.

Devy Breakout Players of the Month

The College Football regular season has come to an end this week, and we are here to show you all of the breakout players that you need to be aware of both for devy leagues and in standard dynasty leagues. Redraft Waiver Wire Grind: Week 13

We’re officially just two weeks away from one of the best times of the year; fantasy football playoffs. By this time of the year, the waivers are looking as dry as ever. This means it is time for us to get a little sneakier and find some deep depth to stock the end of our benches with. We, as you know, are always on the hunt for running backs with a path to opportunity. But this week there’s not any to be found sitting on waivers, meaning it’s time to pivot; pivot from running backs to some sneaky late-week receivers.

Devy Players of the Week

In Miami’s regular-season finale, 6’4” 224 lbs. redshirt freshman, Tyler Van Dyke led the Hurricanes to a convincing 47-10 win over the Duke Blue Devils, throwing for 381 yards and three touchdowns. After taking over for injured D’Eriq King in Week 4, Van Dyke had a couple of rough outings, but starting in late October Van Dyke has looked like a very good young QB. Since Miami’s victory over NC State, Van Dyke has completed 66% of his passes for 2,194 yards, 20 touchdowns, three interceptions, and has a passer rating of 171.85. In his 10 appearances on the year, Van Dyke leads the ACC in Passing Yards Per Attempt with nine and is second in the conference in Passing Efficiency Rating at 160.1. I find his efficiency as a first-year starter to be very impressive.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 11

Chris Jones put on a show for the Chiefs faithful in Week 11. It seemed like the Mississippi State alum was a man possessed on Sunday. In his matchup with Dallas, Jones wrangled five total tackles, two tackles for loss, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, defended a pass, and recorded 3.5 sacks. As a 27-year-old starting defensive lineman, Jones can be relied on to be a starting DL in all IDP formats.

Rookie Stock Report: Week 11

Michael Carter has been the RB3 over the last four weeks. Let that sink in. It’s worth reminding folks that the Jets’ running back has been leading the team in target and relying on this receiving volume might not always be sustainable but the talent is being noticed. The GM and coaching staff need to put all their effort into the offensive line this offseason before we see the rushing efficiency we’d want out of a running back but I continue to be encouraged by all the moves I’ve seen thus far. Buy him now while there are still those who doubt.

Redraft Waiver Wire Grind: Week 11

It’s been a good season of grinding the waiver wire, but now it’s time to find some depth gems to help for the stretch run before the fantasy playoffs start. In a wild Week 10, we saw our prior waiver wire add Cam Newton play just nine snaps and finish as QB16 of the week. That claim might just be a league-winning waiver claim. But enough about the past claims, it’s time to find some hidden opportunity on the free market for Week 11 and we have a couple of running backs that might be worth an add on our rosters.

Injuries Growing on Trees: Robert Woods Rapid Reaction

You were already disappointed during the early part of the season if you went with a Zero-WR approach and expected WR1 numbers from Robert Woods but he quietly crept up as the WR12 after Week 9 just past the halfway point of the season. Now, some people want to claw their eyes out if they weren’t one of the few to sell early (It’s me. I’m some people) and are scrambling to recover for the playoff push. Luckily WR is a deep position and there are waiver and trade options to plugin.
