It’s been a good season of grinding the waiver wire, but now it’s time to find some depth gems to help for the stretch run before the fantasy playoffs start. In a wild Week 10, we saw our prior waiver wire add Cam Newton play just nine snaps and finish as QB16 of the week. That claim might just be a league-winning waiver claim. But enough about the past claims, it’s time to find some hidden opportunity on the free market for Week 11 and we have a couple of running backs that might be worth an add on our rosters.Â
D’Onta Foreman (RB – TEN)
As previously discussed, a running back with a path to opportunity is one of the most prized assets sitting on the waiver wire. That’s no different when it comes to D’Onta Foreman. After Derrick Henry went down, possibly for the year, there were a lot of changes coming to the Titans backfield. In just the second week without him, Foreman saw 43.3% of the opportunity share, which led all the Titans backfield, including a 7.4% target share. It appears that McNichols is going to be taking the passing work, as he has done for most of the season, but Foreman leading the backfield in opportunity is well within possibility.
Matt Breida (RB – BUF)
The Bills completely blew out the Jets which helped give Breida more than enough run to be productive. But the most encouraging part of his role was that he was getting targets out of the backfield which is just what we’re looking for when streaming, stashing, or picking up running backs. It may have just been a 25% opportunity share for Breida in Week 10, but it included a 10.7% target share, which led all backs in the Bills’ offense. Moss and Singletary are already not guys that traditionally get too many targets, so a pickup of Breida, who did, is worth a shot.
