Rookie Roundup Week 6

Hello DFF members, I am Chris, and I am doing a rookie round-up series for the 2023 season. My primary space in fantasy centers around analytics, rookie models, and early career models, so this is something I should be able to make beneficial content out of. This will be released every two weeks, and I will keep you updated on how these rookies have been performing and how their values should be changing. I will provide my take on their current value. This should be used as a tool when buying or selling as what I think their “fair value” is. I would try to make moves for these players where you buy for less and sell for more, but if you can get the price I list, I think it is still in your favor. We have much to discuss over the season’s first six weeks. Let’s get right into it.

Vet Values: Week 7

Have you looked at your starting lineups this week for your leagues? If you haven’t, please stop reading and check those out immediately. It is getting tight out there right now with bye weeks and injuries devastating the fantasy options for Week 7. Some of these options may be able to help you with this and future tough weeks in your fantasy season to lock up those first-round byes or even just make it to the playoffs at all.

The Wire: Week 6

Welcome back to another weekly edition of “The Wire”. In this series, I review three players each week that you should target on the waiver wire for your Dynasty teams. To keep the information in this series consistent, I will only refer to players with an ownership percentage of less than 50%, according to Sleeper Dynasty leagues. I’ll do my best to provide you with players that have a more long-term upside rather than a one-week ceiling, seeing that this is a Dynasty series and not Redraft. So, sit back, relax, and let me find you some diamonds in the rough!

Week 2 Starts/Sits

I hope you all had an excellent start to the Fantasy season. Most of the week-one starts and sits were primarily based on matchups and last year’s performance. Now, we move to week two, and we have a little more information available at our fingertips. There were some disappointments and potential room for growth. As we look to get our fantasy lineups in top shape, let’s dive into my week two starts and sits!

Sifting through the Colts’ Chaos: What Should You Do With Your Indianapolis Players?

The Colts managed to make August an extremely stressful month for fantasy managers who roster any of their key offensive position players. Anthony Richardson was named the starter behind an injured offensive line, their starting all-pro running back is in a stand-off with the front office over a new contract, their young tight end was placed on injured reserve, and all but three wide receivers were cut before the deadline.

Preseason Overreactions: Week 1 Edition

Another week of preseason means another week of preseason overreactions. Twitter was full of highlights and discussions about who ran with which group during the games and who had the night off. Amongst all this, we must figure out what is an overreaction and what is real. We could go through many more players than the ones here. However, in the interest of not writing a book, I have cut down to the 12 I found most interesting to talk about. If I don’t get to your boy specifically, I do apologize. I am also not getting to talk about Nathan Rourke potentially having the play of the year while we are still in preseason. Without further ado, let’s break down these overreactions from the weekend.

Training Camp Buzz 1.0

Are you ready for some football? It is training camp season, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s time to see how the rookies we have spent all off-season analyzing stack up to the next level of competition. It’s time to see who wins training camp battles. Hopefully, it’s not time to see an abundance of injury-related news. We know not everyone has hours to spend on Twitter. There is a lot of propaganda to weed through to truly find out what matters. The rest of this month, I will weed through what I feel matters to you, our reader, and what is just coach speak or media sensationalism.

Father’s Day: Famous Bloodlines within the College Ranks

One of the most challenging aspects of assessing the college landscape is projecting draft capital for players that will someday find themselves on our draft boards. It’s no secret that the higher up in the NFL draft a player goes, the better the chances that they become a valuable dynasty asset in the fantasy space.

Post NFL Draft: 2023 Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers

The NFL Draft is one of the more polarizing events during the NFL offseason. Rookies are coming into the league for a chance at prominent roles right out of the gate for NFL teams looking to upgrade their positions in order to strengthen their squads. This is also important for fantasy managers. As we get closer and closer to league drafts or rookie drafts in Dynasty leagues, new rookies impact the fantasy value of veteran players on football rosters across the league. This can also make offseason trades more difficult.
