Dynasty Buy and Sell: Week 5

As I’m watching the games this week, these are the players who caught my eye. Most of these players were mentioned and discussed in our live start/sit session this past Sunday. Things are shifting fast across the league, and it’s time to make your moves before the market does. Let’s get into it. Light up your cigar and pour your bourbon.

Dynasty Vet Values – Vol. 7

All Access, Dynasty / By /

Welcome back for the final Dynasty Vet Values article of the 2024 season! Week 14 has arrived, which means the Fantasy Football playoffs are approaching. For those leagues with a trade deadline of Week 14 (or no trade deadline), you still have time to make some moves and improve your championship odds on your contending teams. In this series, I cover veteran players who are excellent targets for your contending teams based on current Dynasty market value. We all know youth and longevity are essential to remain competitive in Dynasty. But the ultimate goal is to win fantasy championships, and sometimes that means acquiring that “win-now” asset who may be past his prime.

Vet Values: Week 5

Dynasty / By /

Don’t look now, but we have already completed a third of the fantasy regular season. You have to look at your roster honestly and decide if you are pushing for the title or if this isn’t your year. For those of you pushing for a championship, these are the players you should be adding now, even if you think you have the depth. Injuries and bye weeks can quickly derail a championship run to even the best fantasy teams.

DFS with Doug: Week 4

All Access / By /

Welcome back to some DFS with Doug. By now, we have hit our stride and our routine for the NFL season. Every Sunday, we handle the juggling act of getting all of our Dynasty and Redraft lineups in shape while trying to make bets and, of course, submit our DFS lineups to land that big payday. That Sunday morning sweat is my favorite feeling during football season. This week, we will benefit from a football game while doing that with our first international game of the season. Or perhaps you are crazy like me and will be waking up at 5:30 MT to set some Showdown lineups for that game, too!

The Wire: Week 4

Dynasty / By /

Welcome back to another weekly edition of “The Wire”. In this series, I review three players each week that you should target on the waiver wire for your Dynasty teams. To keep the information in this series consistent, I will only refer to players with an ownership percentage of less than 50%, according to Sleeper Dynasty leagues. I’ll do my best to provide you with players that have a more long-term upside rather than a one-week ceiling, seeing that this is a Dynasty series and not Redraft. So, sit back, relax, and let me find you some diamonds in the rough!

Training Camp Buzz 2.0

Dynasty / By /

Are you ready for some football? It is training camp season, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s time to see how the rookies we have spent all off-season analyzing stack up to the next level of competition. It’s time to see who wins training camp battles. Hopefully, it’s not time to see an abundance of injury-related news. We know not everyone has hours to spend on Twitter. There is a lot of propaganda to weed through to truly find out what matters. The rest of this month, I will weed through what I feel matters to you, our reader, and what is just coach speak or media sensationalism.

Buy or Sell? Dynasty Edition

Dynasty / By /

Finding value within the dynasty landscape can sometimes feel like a daunting task. With all the takes, stats, and data points we have access to now via X (Twitter), it can feel like paralysis by analysis at times. Whether it’s trade calculators, different sets of rankings, or some of your favorite fantasy analysts having completely opposing viewpoints on the same player, defining value can be one of the more difficult avenues a dynasty player has to traverse. Specifically, the art of buying and selling and how to go about it. For the sake of this discussion, I wanted to share a couple of dynasty trades I recently made and discuss the value thought process. In addition, I identified three different options/scenarios involving dynasty running backs that could be buys/sells depending on where your team is in its current lifecycle/league landscape.

Dynasty What If? Jahmyr Gibbs

Dynasty / By /

Hello and welcome to a new ‘Dynasty What If?’ series. In this series, @paul_dff and I will review two possible expectations for different players for the 2023 NFL season. These will include a projected ceiling outcome and a potential floor outcome. After that, we will discuss what we think is most likely. The idea is to lay out and consider what is possible and then bring it back to Earth and compare that to what is probable. In addition, we will relay potential effects for every scenario on the players’ dynasty values. Now, let’s dive into our first subject: Jahmyr Gibbs.
