Dynasty Analysis
If Gabriel Davis wasn’t on your radar before last weekend, he sure is now. After his explosive performance in the AFC Divisional Round loss to the Chiefs, a football game that some are calling the best ever played, there has been no shortage of speculation and debate about this soon-to-be third-year WR from the University of Central Florida. What do I think of Davis going forward?
Making decisions in your dynasty rookie drafts can be incredibly tough. Especially when you are forced to choose between two players you like or even two players you don’t know much about. There are a few factors that can sometimes help break the tie and make this decision much easier. One of them is a player’s early declare status, and this is mainly for wide receivers. But what is early declare status and how can it help us? Let’s find out below.
Welcome to the Dynasty Market Sweep, a weekly recurring offseason article focusing on substantial value disparities in the dynasty market consensus. The very nature of the instantaneous fantasy news feed has made the dynasty market more reactionary and volatile than ever before. Once the proverbial petrol is poured, and Twitter fingers snap to ignite, player values can burn to the ground overnight.
This series of articles will cover the process I use to prospect and filter through each year’s rookie class, with each piece outlining a new player. I like using data to initialize my prospect profiles because it’s easy to examine many players quickly. Another reason is that there are no biases, it is strictly transposing stats from SRCFB to my database. This lets me get a clear view of the player’s overall profile without being biased by any outside opinions or flashy highlights. Once I collect the group of players and their stats I put them into groupings and then ultimately rank them. This series is going to kick off with someone who is currently a sleeper but should be talked about at the top of this class.
At Dynasty Football Factory, we are always trying to become the best version of ourselves in all facets of the fantasy game. That is why we like to expand our horizons every chance we can and do things outside of our comfort zone. In comes our redraft league, where myself and 13 other staff members participated in. So today I invite you to grab something to drink, get comfortable and I’ll tell you the tale of how I brought out my boomstick and decimated the league, going 13-1 and walking away with the title and an overall record of 15-1. I’ll recap my draft and my thought process behind it along with the moves that made me look like Rainman at the blackjack tables in Vegas and not some idiot having to eat a “one chip challenge” because Houston won more than two games.
We have a mantra at Dynasty Football Factory that has propelled a focus on consistent construction and evaluation of our dynasty rosters: #AlwaysBeBuilding. My rankings are built with the same forward direction. I aspire to be as transparent as possible in my process to provide you with a better understanding of how to value players.
Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (off-season edition). Yes, there are still games to be played, but as a Dynasty manager, it’s never too early to start preparing for the next fantasy season. We don’t know what final rosters will look like to start next season, and we don’t know who each team will look to acquire in the draft/free agency. The “offseason edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down going into the offseason. We will break down each NFL team. This week is all about the Chicago Bears.
With another large slate and a lot of expected player incentives, there are some important values that you cannot miss out on in this Week 18 slate! So let’s get ready to dig in! Also, don’t forget to create multiple lines and diversify your lineups to prevent unforeseen ‘busts’.
Your dynasty league season just ended and now you are faced with the tough question, what do I do now? This article will detail the process I go through with each of my dynasty teams at the start of each off-season. This analysis helps me to more easily make moves that will benefit my plans for the future of my team. This process also helps prevent me from making moves that contradict the current goal of my team. That brings me to the first step, we need to determine the current goal of our team and where we see ourselves heading.
If you have one final matchup here in Week 18, enjoy it. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.
With a large slate and several late rule-outs, there are some important values that you cannot miss out on in this Week 17 slate! So let’s get ready to dig in! Also, don’t forget to create multiple lines and diversify your lineups to prevent unforeseen ‘busts’.
It’s been a wild few weeks since the FootballGuys Players Championship (FBG) playoffs started. I think there might be a couple of NFL players that haven’t either got COVID or been injured. They’re not on my squads, though. It has been something else trying to set a legal competitive lineup. This season is going to go down as a winning season for me overall, but largely a disappointment and I can’t wait for next season already.
In most fantasy leagues, this is CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK! You’ve made it this far, and you have one last matchup to take care of. When you never know when, or who, COVID attacks next, it’s very important to look at all of your options. The streaming options below could help punch your ticket(s) to a fantasy title this week. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.
Welcome to the sixteenth and final weekly edition of “Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire” for 2021! For those returning for another installment of defensive player recommendations, your interest and support are appreciated!
For all of the Trey Lance truthers out there, you are finally getting your Captain Raymond Holt of Brooklyn Nine-Nine fame, vindication moment with the news of Jimmy Garoppolo being sidelined with a UCL strain. Currently, team sources aren’t sure the extent of the injury but Dr. Nirav Pandya, MD, Director of Sports Medicine at UCSF is expecting it to be like that of the Drew Brees injury of 2019
If you have not been watching the Lions’ defense this season, you’ve probably missed some very solid production out of fifth-year defender Charles Harris. The former Missouri star has amassed 58 total tackles, nine TFLs, and 7.5 sacks this season. Sunday, the 26-year-old dominated, producing 12 total tackles, three TFLs, and 1.5 sacks against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense. Harris is an excellent starting defensive end this season and likely beyond.
Streaming options need to be monitored daily at this point. With COVID-19 ruining the chances for some of your players to play, you need to make sure you are targeting your star players’ back-ups/replacements. It’s always better to be safe. For example, if you grabbed Tyler Huntley to replace Lamar Jackson this past week, you look like a genius! For now, the players below are assumed to be healthy and free from the virus. And they could help you advance to your fantasy championships. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.
Week 15 has been the most chaotic week of the 2021 season. Arguably no fantasy playoff round has ever been more challenging than this. The waiver-wire moves that fantasy gamers are making this week are season-saving moves made at the eleventh hour in reaction to COVID-IR transactions and late-breaking inactives. This reality feels likely to spill over to Week 16 as well. This week’s waiver-wire offerings will be those players who appear likely to occupy near-full-time roles in their upcoming games.
With a limited amount of options on the main slate, choosing the right players was that much more important in Week 15. Tyler Huntley was forced to step back into the starting role with Lamar Jackson out again this week and boy did he show up. Huntley led all quarterbacks in scoring with 35.9 DK points. His number one weapon was Mark Andrews, who was a slate breaker with 38.6 DK points. With that being said, let’s see how my weekly DFS picks played out!
The Buccaneers franchise is reeling after a devastating defeat that saw the team lose three key offensive pieces Sunday night. As if being blanked on the scoreboard by division rivals wasn’t bad enough, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette were all forced to depart the contest early with injuries.
With a limited amount of options to pick from in Week 15, there are some important values that you cannot miss out on! So let’s get ready to dig in! Also, don’t forget to create multiple lines and diversify your lineups to prevent unforeseen ‘busts’.
It’s officially playoff time and we’re all living in a Covid-fueled fantasy hellscape as we’ve never seen before. Luckily, we play dynasty so we can say “Next season’s our year” like we’re Cowboy’s fans in January and think about the offseason. Rookies should be at the top of your buy and sell plans so we’ll continue our Dynasty Rookie Rankings series with the talent-packed 2021 receiver class. Make sure you’re caught up with the running back class.
Aaron Donald was an animal again in week 14 against the Cardinals in Arizona. In the win, the Pitt alum notched five total tackles, a pass defended, three TFLs, and three sacks. At 30-years-old, Donald continues his reign as the most disruptive interior defender in the league.
