2022 DFF Draft Coverage: Kayvon Thibodeaux

Kayvon Thibodeaux was a five-star recruit and the consensus No. 1 recruit of the 2019 class coming out of Los Angeles’ Oaks Christian High School. The USA Today High School Defensive Player of the Year had 54 sacks in four years (two at Dorsey High School) and enrolled early at Oregon to contribute immediately the following fall. Thibodeaux has been a favorite of your author’s for the past three seasons and should have been definitely considered as the number one overall pick.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: New York Giants

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (offseason edition). The big free agency splash moments are all but over at this point, and the NFL Draft is approaching quickly. We, as dynasty managers, need to be evaluating these offseason transactions and thinking about our roster adjustments every day. Who are we going to target in rookie drafts? Who are we going to go out and trade for? Who are we willing to give up in return? Will you go all in this season to bring home a championship? Or should you go young and prepare for the future? There’s so much to think about before September. The “offseason edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down as we head into draft season. We will break down each NFL team one by one. Today is all about the New York Giants.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 9

Micah Parsons has emerged as an absolute game-changer in his rookie crusade for Dallas this year. This weekend, the first-round pick did everything he could to help his team against the Broncos. In the loss, Parson had a line of 10 total tackles, three TFLs, and 2.5 sacks from his off-ball linebacker spot. If you used your high-end draft capital on Parsons this offseason, you are living the dream at this point in his young career.

Rapid Reaction: OMG, OBJ to LAR

The offense is great, and there are great players all-around. So the question is, is there room for OBJ to succeed? The answer is 100% yes. Sean McVay sold Beckham Jr. to LA by promising schemed plays to make use of his talent, almost assured single-coverage, and of course, a chance at a Super Bowl ring. We don’t care about the ring, but what we do care about is the schemed targets and how that will play out with Kupp, Woods, and Jefferson. Let’s dive into who will be the stars of this show, who will play the best supporting actor, and who gets relegated to understudy.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 7

Demario Davis had one of the best games of his career on Monday Night Football this week. The 10-year veteran created 10 total tackles, four TFLs, two sacks, and defended a pass to help beat the Seahawks. Redraft Waiver Wire Grind: Week 7

Man, the free market is getting beyond thin. Just peeking through waivers in my leagues it was hard to find very much intrigue that exists. But that’s the nature of the beast, as we get deeper into the season the overlooked productive players have already been swiped and were now on the search for any sort of opportunity, we can get our free hands-on.

Rookie Stock Report: Week 6

Khalil Herbert is set to be Chicago’s RB1 for Week 6 after an injury to David Montgomery and Damien Williams being placed on the Covid list. Fortunately enough Herbert has looked like a better prospect than his draft stock would indicate and has made the most of his touches. Herbert is an explosive downhill runner that is a better backup to Montgomery than Williams. If I could get him for cheap he’s a stash I’d love to have stashed on my roster.

Week 6 Waiver Wire Grind

We’ve hit on some running backs on the waiver wire whose production has helped boost their value since we picked them up. If you haven’t been keeping up with the series we’ve been hitting on players like Elijah Mitchell, Kenneth Gainwell, Brandon Bolden, and more. As the season trucks along, the waiver wire continuously seems to be more sparse with options. This week we are going to look at players who have more short-term production value but are still worth the waiver wire stab.

Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 6

“Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire” is written for fantasy football gamers in leagues that require a full complement of 11 defensive starters in leagues of 12 to 16 teams. Recommendations rely on scoring settings from FantasyPros.com, even though their value for passes defensed is a bit low. We’ll look for options at both conventional and true defensive positions as they arise. Players qualifying for this column are those rostered in no more than a third of IDP leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com (MFL). These recommendations further assume you, the manager, have finite roster space with challenging cut decisions to add new names.

Week 5 Streamers

What a start to the 2021 fantasy season. We’ve seen some great streaming options work out rather well (Sam Darnold), and we’ve witnessed others struggle to post solid point totals (Austin Hooper). Last week, most of the streaming options hit, and the “deep stream” option for Dalton Schultz paid off tremendously (17.8 PPR points). Take a look at this week’s top streaming options for Week 5 below. Throughout this series, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.
