It’s now Week 8, which means we are about halfway through the fantasy season. For those off to a good start, time flies when you’re winning. For others who haven’t, this may be a “must-win” type of week. Nonetheless, you need to key in on streaming options this week. We can all use the extra advice now that the fantasy postseason is inching closer. Throughout this series, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.
QUARTERBACK
Streamer #1: Carson Wentz vs TEN, 21.9% owned
| Week | Opponent | Fantasy Points |
| 1 | vs Seahawks | 18.3 |
| 2 | vs Rams | 18.6 |
| 3 | at Titans | 7.8 |
| 4 | at Dolphins | 17.9 |
| 5 | at Ravens | 22.6 |
| 6 | vs Texans | 17.0 |
| 7 | at 49ers | 20.3 |
Wentz has been a solid streaming option the entire season. Through seven weeks, he’s serving as the QB17, averaging 17.5 fantasy points per game. He’s coming off a solid performance against a stout San Francisco defense, producing 20.3 fantasy points in a rain-heavy game. This week, he takes on a Titans team that shut him down in Week 3 (7.8 points). Expect the veteran signal-caller to put together a better performance against them on his home field. Tennessee has allowed four different quarterbacks to top 20 fantasy points against them this season. Even if Wentz falls short of that number, expect him to hover around his average points per game mark. Either way, he should produce enough to generate a solid outing if you decide to stream him this week.
Streamer #2: Teddy Bridgewater vs WAS, 21.2% owned
| Week | Opponent | Fantasy Points |
| 1 | at Giants | 20.5 |
| 2 | at Jaguars | 21.2 |
| 3 | vs Jets | 11.8 |
| 4 | vs Ravens | 6.8 |
| 5 | at Steelers | 19.6 |
| 6 | vs Raiders | 21.3 |
| 7 | at Browns | 14.8 |
Like Wentz above, Bridgewater has served as a solid streaming quarterback through seven weeks. Although he failed to produce 15 fantasy points against the Browns last Thursday, you can’t fault him as his receivers were dropping passes left and right through the rain. He finds himself in a good situation this week, as he takes on a Washington defense that seems to give up a ton of points every week. Their defense has allowed at least 22 fantasy points to quarterbacks in all but one game. That one game came in the first week of the season, so they’re on a six-game streak of allowing at least 22 points a game to signal-callers. If that doesn’t convince you to think about streaming Bridgewater this week, then I don’t know what will.
TIGHT END
Streamer #1: Evan Engram at KC, 23.3% owned
| Week | Opponent | PPR Points | Half PPR Points | Standard Points |
| 1 | vs Broncos | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| 2 | at WFT | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| 3 | vs Falcons | 2.1 | 1.1 | 0.1 |
| 4 | at Saints | 7.4 | 4.9 | 2.4 |
| 5 | at Cowboys | 9.5 | 7.5 | 5.5 |
| 6 | vs Rams | 5.4 | 3.9 | 2.4 |
| 7 | vs Panthers | 10.4 | 7.4 | 4.4 |
I know. Grabbing Engram and sliding him into your starting lineup is gut-wrenching. But you can’t deny the situation he is in. Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, and Saquon Barkley missed last week due to injuries. Both John Ross and Darius Slayton were questionable to play, and Engram finds himself in a situation where he simply has to demand targets from Daniel Jones. He put together his best performance last week, hauling in six of his eight targets for 44 yards. No, he won’t dominate a game like we’ve seen him do many years ago, but he can be a solid streaming option this week against a struggling Chiefs defense. Kansas City has been terrible this season defending the tight end position. In seven games, they’re allowing an average of about 15.4 PPR points per game to Engram’s position this season. If you can’t grab the player below, Engram may be the best streaming option available at tight end this week.
Streamer #2: C.J. Uzomah at NYJ, 10.1% owned
| Week | Opponent | PPR Points | Half PPR Points | Standard Points |
| 1 | vs Vikings | 5.5 | 4.5 | 3.5 |
| 2 | at Bears | 2.4 | 1.4 | 0.4 |
| 3 | at Steelers | 0.0 | 0.0 | 0.0 |
| 4 | vs Jaguars | 26.5 | 24.0 | 21.5 |
| 5 | vs Packers | 3.6 | 2.6 | 1.6 |
| 6 | at Lions | 10.5 | 9.0 | 7.5 |
| 7 | at Ravens | 24.1 | 22.6 | 21.1 |
Joe Burrow is simply on a tear this season. He threw for a whopping 416 passing yards against a good Ravens defense last week. When he’s on like that, many pass-catchers get involved, including his starting tight end. Uzomah is coming off a performance where he hauled in three passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. He has topped 20 fantasy points twice this season, and he has another opportunity to do so this week against the Jets. New York has given up the eighth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Last week alone, they gave up a combined 18 PPR points to that position. Don’t expect 20 fantasy points this week, but you can surely expect double-digit points, which is hard to come by from a streaming option.
D/ST
Streamer #1: Cincinnati Bengals at NYJ, 23.1% owned
| Week | Opponent | Fantasy Points |
| 1 | vs Vikings | 5.0 |
| 2 | at Bears | 6.0 |
| 3 | at Steelers | 12.0 |
| 4 | vs Jaguars | 1.0 |
| 5 | vs Packers | 4.0 |
| 6 | at Lions | 7.0 |
| 7 | at Ravens | 6.0 |
Who would’ve thought that the Bengals would hold Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens to only 17 points? The Bengals are on a roll this season, and they’re currently sitting in first place in the AFC. You can find their defense in about 77 percent of ESPN leagues right now. The Jets have given up the most fantasy points to the D/ST position this season, allowing an average of 11.2 points per game. They’re extremely enticing to play this week, as they host the New York Jets without Zach Wilson under center. This is the stream of the week. You can almost guarantee double-digit fantasy points from the Bengals’ D/ST on Sunday.
Streamer #2: Seattle Seahawks vs JAX, 6.7% owned
| Week | Opponent | Fantasy Points |
| 1 | at Colts | 6.0 |
| 2 | vs Titans | 4.0 |
| 3 | at Vikings | 0.0 |
| 4 | at 49ers | 6.0 |
| 5 | vs Rams | 3.0 |
| 6 | at Steelers | 3.0 |
| 7 | vs Saints | 8.0 |
Don’t worry too much about what the Seahawks’ defense has done this season. Their Week 8 matchup is undeniably an enticing one. They take on a Jaguars team that finds themselves giving up the third-most fantasy points to the D/ST position this season. Turnovers have been the biggest issue for Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars through seven weeks. They’ve surrendered eight interceptions, four fumbles, and two pick-sixes. Opposing defenses find themselves averaging 9.2 fantasy points per game against them in 2021. If the Seahawks can generate eight fantasy points against the Saints, they can surely replicate that against the Jaguars this week.
BONUS
Deep Stream: Gerald Everett vs JAX, 6.2% owned
| Week | Opponent | PPR Points | Half PPR Points | Standard Points |
| 1 | at Colts | 10.0 | 9.0 | 8.0 |
| 2 | vs Titans | 1.3 | 0.8 | 0.3 |
| 3 | at Vikings | 10.4 | 7.9 | 5.4 |
| 4 | at 49ers | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| 5 | vs Rams | N/A | N/A | N/A |
| 6 | at Steelers | 6.0 | 5.0 | 4.0 |
| 7 | vs Saints | 5.3 | 3.8 | 2.3 |
Like every “deep-streaming” option, starting Everett this week is risky. He is hauling in passes from his backup quarterback, Geno Smith, and he usually shares the load with Will Dissly at the tight end spot. What’s encouraging for Everett is that Dissly saw zero targets against the Saints on Monday night. Everett himself hauled in all three of his targets for only 11 yards. Expect those numbers to go up this week against an awful Jaguars defense. Jacksonville has allowed the third-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. They’re coming off a bye week after allowing a combined 30.4 PPR points to Miami’s tight ends the week before. If you find yourself desperate for a streaming tight end option, Everett could be your guy.
