Rashod Bateman Mark Andrews

Dynasty Outlook: Rashod Bateman

The consensus has dropped him quite a bit, with him being the WR37 on KeepTradeCut. This seems to be the general consensus around Bateman, with guys like Jahan Dotson, Christian Kirk, and Gabe Davis all leapfrogging him in perceived value over the course of this year. The dynasty community has seemingly abandoned Bateman for the most part.

Paul’s Picks: Week 12

Outside of Cole Beasley, none of the “starts” from Week 11 busted. Cam and Tua were actually QB1s! Plus, I jinxed Mike Williams back into fantasy relevance. Overall, I’d say it was a highly successful week in an otherwise confusing season. Hopefully, we can build on it in Week 12. As always, I’ll be bringing you names at every position that I believe will exceed expectations or fall flat.

Let’s get into the picks.

Paul’s Picks: Week 6

Outside of Myles Gaskin, it was a good week for the “sit” column. Meanwhile, the “starts” at RB and TE panned out nicely but, unfortunately, Corey Davis, Laviska Shenault, and Jaylen Waddle didn’t live up to expectations. In Week 6, the Falcons, Saints, 49ers, and Jets are on a bye, so it will be even more important to locate those sneaky starts moving forward. As always, I’ll be bringing you names at every position that I believe will exceed expectations or fall flat. Let’s get into the picks.

DFF Redraft Recap – Weeks 1-4

We are four weeks into the fantasy football season, and already the NFL looks a lot different than it did heading into Week 1. Devastating injuries, big breakouts, and shocking busts have likely reshaped the landscape of your fantasy league, as well. At this point, we’ll begin to see which teams are contenders and which teams are just pretenders.

In this article, I’ll be giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the DFF Redraft Championship league standings. I’ll provide a brief overview of each team and make a prediction about their rest-of-season performance. Ready for the tour? Let’s start in the basement.

FFPC Dynasty & Redraft Series: Week 3

Whew. This past week was much better than the first. Most of my teams that started off with a loss got back to even and a number of solid teams moved to 2-0. Sadly there are more 0-2 teams in my portfolio than I would like. We know a lot more about the landscape out there today than we did two weeks ago, but we still need more time for the process of variance to give us a clearer picture. I have made some crucial start/sit mistakes but am hoping to get ahead of the curve this week and I hope you do, too.

colts wide receivers

Fantasy Outlook: Colts Wide Receivers

Last week, the Indianapolis Colts decided to bring back wide receiver T.Y. Hilton on a one-year deal worth up to $10M. The 31-year-old veteran receiver is taking less money to stay in Indianapolis (Ravens offered a multi-year deal). He should serve as one of the top receiving options for his new quarterback, Carson Wentz. Hilton will rejoin a wide receiver room that also includes: Michael Pittman Jr., Parris Campbell, and Zach Pascal. Below, I will be digging deeper into each receiver’s fantasy outlook for the 2021 season.

Risers and Fallers from Super Wild Card Weekend

In this weekly piece, I will bring you some risers and fallers from a dynasty lens. Whether it’s injuries, performance, or value, I want to discuss how players have moved around. Based on the week’s events, I’ll give some advice on how to act on the market’s movement, whether it’s buying, selling, or holding. Even in the playoffs, dynasty values still change weekly. I won’t limit myself to talking about any specific players or teams because I want to have the freedom to discuss whatever is most relevant. Of course, there are more risers and fallers than those I’m listing. With that said, let’s jump into the risers first, followed by the fallers.

Looking Ahead to Week 13

In this weekly article, I’m going to look ahead to the following week. I’ll point out a few players below 40% owned on ESPN who have strong matchups next week that you can pick up ahead of time to beat the waiver run. I’ll also try and get ahead of breakouts that could happen in the current week, as predicting breakouts is the best way to save your FAAB budget. Pittman is my only must-add for the week. He only had three catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in Week 11, but he’s seen heavy action since he returned in Week 8. I believe that Pittman has clearly passed T.Y. Hilton as the Colts’ top receiver, and he has excellent matchups in Week 13 against the Texans and Week 14 against the Raiders. Add Pittman to your team now and ride him to and through your playoffs.

Looking Ahead to Week 12

In this weekly article, I’m going to look ahead to the following week. I’ll point out a few players below 40% owned on ESPN who have strong matchups next week that you can pick up ahead of time to beat the waiver run. I’ll also try and get ahead of breakouts that could happen in the current week, as predicting breakouts is the best way to save your FAAB budget. Since most of these additions will occur on the weekend, I’ll exclude any players from the Thursday night game, as you won’t be able to add them to your rosters. This season more than any other, it’s essential to remain active and stay ahead of your league mates.

I won’t limit myself to talking about any specific players or teams because I want to have the freedom to discuss whatever is most relevant. Also, of course, there are more risers and fallers than those I’m listing. However, it’s impossible to cover every single one of them, as dynasty values change weekly for many players. With that said, let’s jump into the risers first, followed by the fallers.

Redraft Mock Analysis

PPR Redraft Mock Analysis

I recently took part in a 1QB, PPR redraft mock with eleven other members of the DFF crew. I was very happy with the results, so I’d like to break down my team and my decision-making process throughout the draft. I entered the draft planning to select RBs in the first three rounds before addressing any other positions. This strategy, which I broke down in great detail here, is one I’ve been implementing whenever possible this offseason. I expected to target WR in the middle rounds while waiting to get my QB and TE late, which worked out perfectly.

2020 rookie busts part two

2020 Rookie Busts Part Two

The 2020 rookie class was a loaded group that had dynasty owners’ attention for years. I’ve written about the class three separate times: before the NFL Draft, live during the NFL Draft, and about a month ago. I’ve included all the links to those previous series at the bottom of the page. However, in those articles, I focused on the rookies from a redraft perspective and how they will impact redraft rosters in 2020.

DFF Rookie Round Table, Part 10: Final Thoughts

We debated the rankings on Jalen Reagor, Henry Ruggs, Tee Higgins, Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, AJ Dillon, Bryan Edwards, Antonio Gandy-Golden, Zack Moss, and Joshua Kelley. We also touched upon players in their range, and who should be ascending or descending. I want to give a big thanks to everyone who contributed to this series of articles. I urge you to go follow them on twitter.  Read the whole series for a number of opinions on players who could win you fantasy championships for years to come. This is the final part of the series, where we’ll look at more insights and tidbits about these rookies.
