2022 DFF Draft Coverage: Hassan Haskins

Haskins did play in 2018 but redshirted after only playing in three games as a special teams player. He received the team’s Most Improved Player Award after producing 622 rushing yards and six touchdowns during the 2019 season. In a limited role in 2020, he managed to lead the team in rushing (375) with only two starts in six games. He finally served as the team’s workhorse in 2021, and it proved him and his team well. On 270 carries, Haskins turned in 1,327 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. He also hauled in 18 receptions for 131 yards as well. His 20 rushing scores were the fourth-most in all of FBS in 2021 and tied for the third-most in a Michigan Wolverine season.

2022 DFF Draft Coverage: Malik Willis

After two seasons as the understudy at Auburn University, Willis made the best decision of his career and transferred to Liberty. He then took off and combined for 5,107 passing yards, 47 passing touchdowns, 1,822 rushing yards, and 27 rushing touchdowns in 23 games played. Willis has all the tools and upside in the world to become a solid starting quarterback in the NFL eventually. He isn’t a guaranteed product, but his ceiling is higher than any other signal-callers in this year’s draft. Willis showcases a rare combination of a strong arm and elite rushing abilities. In today’s NFL, that’s exactly what teams are looking for.

2022 DFF Draft Coverage: Treylon Burks

After a quiet freshman year, Burks elevated his production significantly in his sophomore year. He had 820 yards receiving and seven touchdowns in only nine games. He followed that up with an even better junior year with 1,104 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. Burks rated highly in two of the more predictive metrics for future success. His receiving yards per team pass attempt (RYPTPA) of 3.52 was the third-best in the class. His dominator rating (share of teams receiving yards and touchdowns) was second-best overall to Jalen Tolbert.

Dynasty Market Sweep: Addressing the Age Cliff

Welcome to the Dynasty Market Sweep, a weekly recurring offseason article focusing on substantial value disparities in the dynasty market consensus. The very nature of the instantaneous fantasy news feed has made the dynasty market more reactionary and volatile than ever before. Once the proverbial petrol is poured and Twitter fingers snap to ignite, player values can burn to the ground overnight.

Raiding The IDP Waiver Wire: Week 16

Week 15 has been the most chaotic week of the 2021 season. Arguably no fantasy playoff round has ever been more challenging than this. The waiver-wire moves that fantasy gamers are making this week are season-saving moves made at the eleventh hour in reaction to COVID-IR transactions and late-breaking inactives. This reality feels likely to spill over to Week 16 as well. This week’s waiver-wire offerings will be those players who appear likely to occupy near-full-time roles in their upcoming games.

Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire: Week 15

“Raiding the IDP Waiver Wire” is written for fantasy football gamers in leagues that require a full complement of 11 defensive starters in leagues of 12 to 16 teams. Recommendations rely on scoring settings from FantasyPros.com, even though their value for passes defensed is low. We’ll look for options at both conventional and true defensive positions as they arise.

Week 11 Streamers

Can you believe it’s already Week 11!?! Some of you have already locked in a playoff spot, and others of you are working hard to earn one of those final spots into the dance. In previous weeks, this series had been full of streaming options that weren’t super reliable. And of course, these players below aren’t “guarantees,” but every single one of them is easy to stream based on their Week 11 matchup. Even the “deep stream” option will start in a ton of leagues this week. Like always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Keep in mind, each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN leagues.

Redraft Waiver Wire Grind: Week 11

It’s been a good season of grinding the waiver wire, but now it’s time to find some depth gems to help for the stretch run before the fantasy playoffs start. In a wild Week 10, we saw our prior waiver wire add Cam Newton play just nine snaps and finish as QB16 of the week. That claim might just be a league-winning waiver claim. But enough about the past claims, it’s time to find some hidden opportunity on the free market for Week 11 and we have a couple of running backs that might be worth an add on our rosters.

Moves to Make in a Dynasty Contender

At this point during the season in dynasty leagues, it should be apparent to fantasy managers whether or not your team is a contender or if you should be positioning yourself for next season. There is a clear pattern developing and if you are in the middle of the pack, making one trade can push you into a contender immediately. I’ll be assessing a few moves you can make right now on players who could be cheap, in order to push you into the playoffs and through the rest of the season comfortably.

Adrian Peterson Signed by the Titans: Rapid Reaction

The Titans are leading their division with a 6-2 record and look to continue their pace despite losing their best player. It’s hard to see them doing that with Adrian Peterson. It’s safe to say that the Titans have been successful because of Derrick Henry. A.J. Brown has only been truly back for the last two weeks and Julio Jones has been non-existent when healthy and has caused the entire aerial attack to fall well below expectations. Couple that with the atrocious defense and you have to wonder if Tennessee is the worst six-win team in the league. Peterson simply isn’t Derrick Henry, who was on pace for another historic season. Don’t get me wrong, Peterson is a legend in his own right, but is no longer the animal he was for the Vikings and shouldn’t be overhyped. He only averaged 3.87 yards a carry with the Lions last season and that should give you a benchmark for his efficiency. You’re looking at a touchdown-dependent short-term option that would only be useful for contending teams needing a plugin while they wait on injured players to return for the fantasy playoffs.

Big Dog Built Different: Derrick Henry’s Road to a Consecutive 2K Yard Season

Call it an athletic profile if you wish, but Derrick Henry is not like any other NFL athlete at the running back position. Henry is a freight train that runs on the nightmare fuel of would-be tacklers. Comparing the reigning rushing leader to any other running back is akin to comparing a chihuahua to a pit bull. They might be the same animal, but those dogs are built differently.

Week 8 Streamers

It’s now Week 8, which means we are about halfway through the fantasy season. For those off to a good start, time flies when you’re winning. For others who haven’t, this may be a “must-win” type of week. Nonetheless, you need to key in on streaming options this week. We can all use the extra advice now that the fantasy postseason is inching closer. Throughout this series, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Recommendations rely on scoring settings from FantasyPros.com, even though their value for passes defensed is a bit low. Players qualifying for this column are those rostered in no more than a third of IDP leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com (MFL). These recommendations further assume you, the manager, have finite roster space with challenging cut decisions to add new names.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 5

Haason Reddick came in as the top defensive lineman of week five, pestering Jalen Hurts all day long. The former Temple star has really found a home in the Carolina defense, and his statistics are proof of exactly that. On Sunday, Reddick stacked up two sacks, eight total tackles, and two TFLs at home against the Eagles.
