Myles Gaskin: 2021 Dynasty Profile

Myles Gaskin played college football at the University of Washington from 2015-2018. Gaskin put together an impressive college career, rushing for over 1,200 yards and double-digit TDs in each of his four seasons. During the pre-draft process, he measured in at 5’ 9”, 205 lbs, and registered a below-average speed score with his 4.58 40-yard dash. Gaskin was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Post-Rookie Draft Waiver Targets

Each season in dynasty leagues there are post-rookie draft waiver targets that provide a tremendous value for owners who were savvy or lucky enough to find them on their roster. Some provide an immediate “home-run” return like James Robinson did last season. Others make great taxi squad stashes that provide value later and might be tradeable for better assets (think Boston Scott, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, Preston Williams, Collin Johnson, etc.). The majority will fall flat as expected.

Miami is similar to the 49ers in that they give one guy a ton of work, it’s just sometimes difficult to be sure who that guy is going to be. In every game he played, Gaskin saw more than 60% of the snaps. He even saw 70% or more in five games, which was half of his games played. When Gaskin was out, Ahmed stepped in and received 46%, 76%, 66%, and 60%. They’re going to give the ball to primarily one guy, and right now that one guy looks like Myles Gaskin.

Dynasty Running Backs to Sell

Today I’ll be giving you three running backs to sell in this one, from now throughout the offseason. Each RB comes with a different situation and reasoning for getting out now before it is too late. However, I preface this advice with minding the fact that each fantasy league and situation are different. So use this article as more of a weight on the proverbial trade scale and not the determining factor for making any moves in your leagues. I try to analyze each of my teams and my leagues before determining whether to make any offseason moves. But, for the most part, I normally make offers leading up to draft time. If you can get a deal completed a little ahead of the offseason hype then it will greatly benefit you. Try to push some of the following players, but always remember: only sell players for the right price. You don’t want to shoot yourself in the foot before next season gets here. David Montgomery Finishing sixth overall at the running back position was nowhere near where people expected Montgomery to land in points scored by the end of the season. I advise you to take that end of year push that he had and cash in his value at its peak. Teammate Tarik Cohen will return in 2021 to siphon away the passing work that Monty enjoyed in his absence. The Dynasty Wire: Week 5

This week and every week going forward we’ll bring you several recommendations for players you should add to your dynasty rosters. We’ll mainly be targeting lower-owned guys who should be available in all but the deepest leagues. 

Fells has received at least two targets in each game through five weeks, which may not seem like much, but he’s also averaging 15 yards per reception this year. He has two touchdowns and is tied for second on the team in red zone targets. Fells isn’t a high volume option but provides upside with the touchdown opportunity in deeper leagues.

The Dynasty Wire: Week 1

Rookies generally don’t get much action early on in the season, especially rookie wide receivers drafted in the fifth round like Isaiah Mckenzie. Not only is he a rookie but he must compete against Stefon Diggs, John Brown, and Cole Beasley for playing time. Yet, he still got it. McKenzie caught all of his three targets for 17 yards in his NFL debut. No, nothing eye-popping in the stats there but the fact that he received those opportunities already is all I need to know. I was surprised to find him on a number of waiver wires in my dynasty leagues.
