Coming up on the calendar we have the likes of the NFL Scouting Combine, Free Agency, and the NFL Draft. What better time to test the water than the end of February with a mock draft?

Overlooked Gems: NFC North Edition

In this new fantasy offseason series, we will break down one player from each NFL team who is currently being overlooked. At the same time, that player could provide great depth/potential to a deep dynasty league roster. These players are worth picking up if they are in your free agency. They are also players you may want to reconsider keeping if they are fringe roster cut options. I will be trying to convince you as to why they are worth a roster spot for now. Of course, the NFL Draft and free agency period could diminish each player’s value, but we need to be making sure we bolster our roster(s) as much as we can. Each week, one division will be broken down, and today is all about the NFC North.

Sell-Fish: The Players I’m Throwing Back In Dynasty

Rookie Redraft Update: Part 1

I’ve included all four of my original articles and all my live post-draft takes as links at the bottom of this article. I’ll start with part one, which covered quarterbacks.

Rookie QB Debuts

We saw four quarterbacks get drafted in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL draft. While all have aspirations to be the face of their respective franchises, all have very different avenues to get there. In this article, I lay out each of these QB’s paths to their starting role, and when I expect them to make their debuts. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals While I am aware of how enamored everyone was with Ryan Finley’s three starts in Weeks 9-11 last year, there is no doubt Burrow will be the starting QB for the Bengals come Week 1. He is coming off a historic senior season at LSU. Joe threw for 5,671 yards and he broke the NCAA record for TD passes (60) as well as QB rating (202). Mike Brown and Zac Taylor didn’t draft Burrow to sit and learn, they drafted him to be the next guy right away. Joe won the starting job when Goodell announced his name at the draft. With solid weapons in Joe Mixon, A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, and fellow rookie Tee Higgins, Joe should be a solid fantasy QB right from the get-go. The Bengals O-line is a concern, ranking 26th and 30th via FBoutsiders and PFF respectively. However, the return of 2019 1st round pick Jonah Williams will be a welcome sight. Burrow is going 1.01 in Superflex drafts for a reason. He is a top talent who will be a starter Week 1. Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins Tua to the Dolphins has been all the talk since before the 2019 NFL

Superflex Dynasty Backup QBs: Tier 1

In this series, I will examine the backup quarterback landscape with a focus on dynasty superflex formats. In those leagues, having a starting quarterback is extremely valuable, so many backups are rostered, with the number depending on how deep the league is. I’ll split the backups into tiers, starting from the most valuable down to the least. Keep in mind that the backup listed here is the backup in dynasty value, not necessarily the backup on the NFL roster. With that said, let’s jump into the top group.

Early 2020 Rookie Redraft Primer: Part 1

Coming into 2020, Burrow will have a plethora of weapons. The Bengals locked up Tyler Boyd to a long-term deal and will use the franchise tag to retain A.J. Green. They also have speedster John Ross and promising third-year receiver Auden Tate on their roster. Running back Joe Mixon will also take some of the initial pressure off Burrow, providing a solid anchor for the Bengals’ rushing attack.
