Jared Goff’s New Contract Implications for Dynasty Fantasy Football
Jared Goff gets his long-awaited contract from the Detroit Lions. Goff signed a four-year, $212M contract including a $73M signing bonus with $170.6M guaranteed. This makes Goff the second-highest-paid player in the NFL, only to Joe Burrow (QB – CIN). In the words of Head Coach Dan Campbell, you’re good enough for Detriot Jared Goff, and they proved it monetarily. Goff led the Lions to their first NFC championship appearance since 1992 and narrowly lost the game to San Francisco, 34 to 31. While this is great for Lions fans and Jared Goff, this helps us figure out what to do with the Lions’ skill players in Dynasty.

Comparing ADP, Dynasty to Redraft: NFC North
A much-overlooked aspect of Dynasty is value comparison, or comparing the values of Dynasty players to Redraft players and seeing which is worth more or less. You might be thinking, “Well, duh! Of course, older players are worth less in Dynasty than Redraft!” to which I agree. But what about Daniel Jones (QB – NYJ), who is only 25 years old? Should he be worth more in Redraft or Dynasty? Or how about Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DEN), who in Redraft has an ADP of WR10, but in Dynasty, he’s valued as WR6. Which side more appropriately values players? In this series, which will take place over eight parts (one part for each division), I’ll be evaluating every skill position player on every team and giving my thoughts on their value, whether they are overvalued compared to Redraft or undervalued. Usually, the appropriate value will be somewhere in the middle.

Who Ya Got? Tee Higgins vs. Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. Garrett Wilson
As the newest ranking team member here at DFF, I have asked myself this question quite a bit over the past couple of weeks: Who should I rank higher? These lead to fantastic conversations in league, text, and social media chats. The back and forth is where some of the richest discussions of fantasy football can occur. In particular, in the Dynasty space where a player’s value could vary depending on if the team is a contender or rebuilding, and also on positional need. Today’s discussion is not easily solved by either of those metrics though. All three of these guys are talented young WRs that work well whether you are contending now or looking at the long-term picture. I would be happy to have a roster with any one of them or even better all three of them but in a startup, where would I go? Let’s dig into these incredibly talented WRs.

Week 17 Streamers
It’s championship week here in the fantasy football community. Streaming options are getting worse and worse as the season goes on. Although there are a decent amount of solid streamers at quarterback this week, the tight ends are a different story.
Week 16 Streamers
The second round of the playoffs brings great excitement and questionable players to start. For those of you that invested in Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, or Kyler Murray, you’re likely turning to a streaming quarterback to carry you through the postseason. And if you don’t have Travis Kelce, you’re probably entertaining the idea of streaming a tight end as well. It’s do-or-die time, so make sure you take a look at ALL of your options, even if you may have all the answers already on your team. Remember, we always provide the best players to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Each streaming option will have ownership under 60%, according to ESPN. Below, you will find two streamers per position and a “deep stream” option (15% or lower). Let’s stream our way into the next round of the fantasy playoffs together!

With the Cardinals and Panthers on bye this week, you may have to turn to free agency to compile your starting lineup(s). For those of you that are trying to solidify your team because you’ve faced multiple injuries to key players, this may be a pivotal week for you. Today, we will feature some familiar names, a couple of intriguing D/STs, and a red-hot quarterback who just took over starting duties for his team.
