Texans Offense: Gaping Holes and Glaring Opportunity

Without a doubt, the most surprising, perplexing and possibly season altering move was the Texans sending DeAndre Hopkins and a 2020 4th round pick to Arizona for David Johnson, a 2020 2nd round pick and a 4th round pick in 2021. The Texans also agreed to take on all of DJ’s bloated salary, which isn’t much less than Hopkins’.

Digging for Jules: Is Julian Edelman worth a dynasty buy?

We all know the first rule of dynasty strategy. Successful owners find continued success because they are able to thread the needle of turning aging talent into young players and/or rookie picks. Julian Edelman is certainly a name owners are looking to sell as he enters his last year under contract, and possibly the end of his career. If you’re a team in contention, should the first rule apply, or should you be digging for Jules?

Restricted Free Agents: WR Dynasty Sleepers

Free Agency is fun but often the RFA’s are overlooked, not only by NFL teams but by fantasy owners as these situations are fluid and could change the overall perspective and value on these players in a second. The free agent class is very top-heavy and drops off steadily however there is some value in the RFA pool this year that fantasy owners should look to acquire or pickup before their situations get even better.

Worst Landing Spots: WR 2020 NFL Draft

The Bears were the epitome of average in 2019, finishing the season a mediocre 8-8. They had a lot of issues but wide receivers weren’t one of them., As a matter of fact, their issues were more so on the quarterback. Mitch Trubisky is not very good, but his receivers are. Chicago already has plenty of talented young pass-catchers in Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller, and adequate receivers in Taylor Gabriel and Javon Wims.

2020 WR Sleepers

While creating my 2020 WR Model, I found a few under the radar players not getting much love currently, but I believe these players 100% deserve your attention leading up to and after the NFL draft. These players all have elements that both analytic nuts and film grinders should be able to appreciate. They all “broke-out” their sophomore year, and have good traits seen on film. When a player checks both of those boxes, I am officially intrigued. Keep reading to see my breakdowns of these potential sleepers.

The Value of a WR2

My goal for this piece is to lay out my personal experience with building depth at the wide receiver position over the last few seasons. I have come to find that targeting wide receivers who are the second options on certain teams have allowed me to bank up significant depth and afforded me opportunities to make moves for other positions.
