Javonte Williams Injury: Rapid Reaction

As if things couldn’t get any worse for the Denver Broncos, it has been reported that second-year running back Javonte Williams has torn his ACL, LCL, and posterior lateral corner, and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season. With the landscape at the running back position already starting off confusing this season, this injury only adds to the chaos. Here’s how I’d navigate moving forward as a dynasty manager.

NFL Player Props: Thursday Night Football Preview

Week 4 begins with a scintillating matchup between two AFC contenders as the Dolphins (3-0) travel to the Bengals (1-2) home turf to duke it out on Thursday Night Football. The Dolphins enter the contest as surprising underdogs after a dramatic undefeated start to the 2022 season, which saw the AFC East front runners dismantle the Ravens and the Bills in back-to-back games. Vegas lines are sharp to the injury reports as star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is reportedly a game-time decision with head/neck/back injuries.

Week 4 Streamers

Week 4 is officially among us, and it’s now the point of the season when you start to understand where you stand with your fantasy team(s). It may be time to pull off a blockbuster trade. It may be time to let go of some of your high draft capital players. And most importantly, it may be time for you to stream certain positions. As always, we will provide the best weekly options to stream at quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. Remember that each streaming option will be below 50% owned, according to ESPN. Below, you will find two streamers per position and a “deep stream” option (15% or lower) as well.

Will Levis

Can Will Levis Be the 2023 NFL Draft QB1?

The former Penn State transfer arrived in Lexington (KY) in 2021, after never retaining a starting role with the Nittany Lions. It was a strange situation, as most would agree that Levis should’ve been the starter there, but it just never happened. The move to Kentucky though was also strange at first glance. Known to be a college basketball powerhouse, Kentucky is usually not the first or even second school that college prospects consider as an option. Will Levis, since enrolling, has started to change the narrative.

Week 4 Dynasty Waiver Wire

Hello DFF members, my name is Chris, and I will be writing the weekly dynasty waiver adds piece this year. In this article I will be writing about players that I feel should be owned in much higher quantities in your dynasty leagues. I will try to stick to low ownership percentages, around 30% or less, but if there is a guy above that, who I think should be owned significantly more I will include them as well. I will be focusing on a 12-team, full PPR set-up for these articles but the players I am choosing should apply in 10-team leagues as well. Without further ado let’s get into the waiver adds.

Rookie Revolution: Drake London and Garrett Wilson Have Arrived

Historically, rookie wide receivers have taken the beginning of the season to integrate themselves into the passing game plan and develop chemistry with the quarterback. However, two of the five aforementioned rookies, London and Wilson, fast-tracked the proverbial rookie wide receiver waiting period with eye-popping performances through two weeks. Let’s look at them as prospects and dive into their peripherals to see if this start is sustainable.

Buy Low/Sell High QB: Week 1

Ryan Tannehill is just not that good. Simple as that. The lack of weapons in the passing game does not help that statement either. Tannehill somehow ended up as the QB11 in week 1 and I am not sure how that happened. He looked to have no rapport with any of the receivers on Sunday and I believe that will be a consistent theme this season. Malik Willis, a 2022 third-round selection, is the apparent successor to an overpaid, underproducing Tannehill. I don’t see Willis overtaking the throne from Tannehill this season, but I do expect this to happen in a season or so.

The Panic Meter: Week 1

The first week of the NFL season rarely goes according to plan. We spend so much time speculating about roles, depth charts, and market shares, but then the actual football begins and suddenly Zack Moss is a featured satellite back and Joe Burrow can’t stop throwing interceptions. We don’t want to overreact, but we do have to react. That’s where the Panic Meter comes in. I’ll take the most stress-inducing players from Week 1, break down their performance, and let you know–on a scale of 1 to 10–just how much you’re allowed to worry.
