Below I am going to highlight players who I feel are current values after Week 2 in the NFL season. The players listed are not necessarily must trade for, or trade away, players, they merely are values at this current time. 

Buy Low

DeAndre Hopkins, WR Arizona Cardinals

DHop is someone that owners have probably forgotten about since he has been suspended for the first six games of the 2022 season. If you’re a team that is competing for a championship this season, Hopkins is someone that can bolster your receiving core. The Cardinals lack that leader in the receiving core and A.J. Green is way past his prime.

Value: I would offer a second-round pick for the likes of Hopkins to make a championship push. 

Skyy Moore, WR Kansas City Chiefs

Moore is someone many people liked strictly due to the landing spot in the draft this season. Moore has so far disappointed and has shown no real promise yet. This is why I love him as a buy-low. The Chiefs lack playmakers in their receiving core and they could really use a spark. If you’re rebuilding or just want a player will immense upside, look no further. 

Value: I would happily ship a second-rounder or an aging veteran for Moore. If you have a guy like Curtis Samuel, consider making an offer to the Moore owner. 

Darnell Mooney WR, Chicago Bears

Mooney has been a victim of game script so far this season. In Week 1 he played in a monsoon and in Week 2 Fields only threw the ball a stunning 11 times for 70 yards. Owners are definitely afraid of what is going on in Chicago and are probably looking to cut their losses. 

Value: Mooney is worth a second-rounder or an aging veteran like Tyler Lockett. 

Sell High

Curtis Samuel, WR Washington Commanders

Curtis Samuel is playing like his contract represents, big money. If I am a Samuel owner, I am afraid of the mouths that need to be fed in this offense. Carson Wentz surely isn’t going to continue to throw for 300+ yards a game so I would like to cut ties before we see this expected downfall.

Value: Samuel is someone that is tricky to value. I would be interested in moving him for a rookie like Skyy Moore or a 2023 second. 

Michael Thomas, WR New Orleans Saints

Michael Thomas is looking like vintage Michael Thomas again. My concern is age. Thomas is 29 and has a history of injuries. I would be looking to move Thomas before he has another injury flare-up and when a touchdown regression happens. 

Value: People see a name and believe they have to overpay. This offseason, Thomas was a name to forget, now he can probably be moved for a first-rounder and/or a young promising receiver. 

Tyler Lockett, WR Seattle Seahawks

Lockett is someone that is immensely talented but has a tough situation. Lockett is in a low-volume offense with a not-so-talented QB. Another downfall to Locket is he turns 30 on September 28th. 

Value: I would be willing to accept a second for Lockett or a young player who is underperforming like Skyy Moore or Darnell Mooney.
