2022 Projections: Dallas Cowboys
When we loosely compare players, most people feel they have a good idea of what kind of production to expect. We may think “CD Lamb can be a top-5 receiver while Michael Gallup scores 13-plus ppg, Jalen Tolbert is useful as a rookie and Dalton Schultz is a top-five tight end.” But, these may just be unrealistic goals to set even for the most pass-friendly offense in the NFL. I make projections to ground myself and help to understand what is actually possible, probable, or realistic. So, in this series, I will be going through each NFL team and making median projections for their 2022 seasons with their most fantasy-relevant players. I may be able to discern if certain players are being undervalued immediately but in most cases, I will need to finish more teams to get a good idea.

FFPC Dynasty & Redraft Series: Week 6
One of my best SF teams is from a startup from last year where I waited on QB, a strategy I endorse. Now I have Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers and am #1 in points scored through five weeks. Diontae Johnson: 2020 Dynasty Profile
At Johnson’s current value, he likely represents a dynasty sell. I’m a firm believer in a bounce-back season for Smith-Schuster, and I expect the Steelers to reach a long-term agreement with him. I don’t see Johnson as having the same ceiling as some other players in his value range, such as Christian Kirk, Mecole Hardman, N’Keal Harry, or Tee Higgins. For those reasons, I’d float Johnson in trade talks if I had him on one of my dynasty teams.

#TomBomb: Pittsburgh Steelers
Now, if you’re not careful you may subconsciously find yourself thinking Ebron’s name has been a topic of conversation for quite a while now. Which, consequently, must mean he’s… you know… old. Well, at just 27 years of age, he’s not placeable in that category quite yet. One thing I don’t want to do is discount Vance McDonald and his ability to contribute, in a real-football-sense, to this ball club. He’s a terrific player in his own right and I genuinely think he’s a quality asset to any organization. Nonetheless, Eric Ebron walks into that locker room as the unquestioned TE1 with some pretty monster upside, especially in the touchdown department.

Eric Ebron to the Steelers
If I had to describe Ebron’s prevailing narrative, I would say that most dynasty owners consider Ebron to be a complete bust, who then had one outlier season in 2018 before fading back to normal in 2019. However, that narrative isn’t real. Ebron was consistently mediocre from 2015-2017, finishing as a high-end TE2 in each year. Both 2018 and 2019 are outliers compared to that stretch of middling performances. To determine the truth about Ebron, we need to go back and look beyond the top-line stats.

Dynasty Stat Takeaways through Four Weeks
Every couple of weeks, I’ll take a look at various stats to try to determine if any trends stand out. These trends could relate to specific players or situations. I’ll be looking at targets, snap shares, and air yards, among other metrics to help formulate opinions on players and how you as a dynasty player should be interpreting this data. Data is compiled via Pro Football Reference, Airyards.com, Football Outsiders, the Sleeper app, Fantasy Data and other any other place that stats may be housed. Dynasty Outlook: James Washington
Okay. We get it. We’ve been hearing about it for the past week. We know. We know James Washington and Mason Rudolph played together for four years in college (2014-2017) and put up some pretty impressive numbers at Oklahoma State. We’ve been waiting all week, ever since Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending elbow injury, to see if this former college connection would translate at all to fantasy success.
