We move deeper into Dynasty Non-Points-Scoring Season as the NFL Post Season nears a close which means trading, startups, and loading up for the rookie draft will be the only thing to do for a few months. Welcome to the Dynasty Market Sweep, a weekly recurring offseason article focusing on substantial value disparities in the dynasty market consensus. The very nature of the instantaneous fantasy news feed has made the dynasty market more reactionary and volatile than ever before. In 2019, he started three contests for the Big Ten Champs and brought in 14 passes for 142 yards and four TDs. Ruckert was an honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference selection in 2020 (13 – 151, five TDs) when they played the Covid-shortened season. He was an honorable mention selection again this past season, setting career bests with 26 receptions for 309 yards and scoring three times.

Buffalo welcomes Wydermyer to a tight end room that features up-and-coming star Dawson Knox and a former first-round pick in O.J. Howard. Wydermyer should battle for the TE3 spot against Tommy Sweeney and Quinton Morris, but his fantasy outlook isn’t bright. Buffalo has a plethora of great pass-catchers on their team, and it’s going to be nearly impossible for Wydnermyer to make an impact early on in his career. He may not even be worth a spot on your taxi squad unless he finds himself playing for someone else when the season starts.

Sample seemed to profile as a blocking tight end entering the NFL. In his first three years at Washington, he totaled only 21 receptions, 235 yards, and two touchdowns. He never played more than eight games in any of those seasons, and he wasn’t a relevant prospect. However, Sample slightly improved in 2018 in his senior season. He caught 25 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns. While his performance wasn’t anything special, the Bengals saw enough to pick him in the second round. The Bengals drafted Sample in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the 52nd overall pick. At the time, I had never even heard of Sample. I couldn’t believe the Bengals passed on receiving tight end weapons like Jace Sternberger, Josh Oliver, Kahale Warring, and Dawson Knox to select Sample.
