Draft or Pass: Jameson Williams

Jameson Williams is one of the most intriguing prospects in the ’22 class. Williams tore his ACL in January but had an incredible season for Alabama before being named as a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which is awarded to the nation’s most outstanding WR in college. His incredible speed was displayed every weekend, regularly gashing opponents for chunk gains and long touchdowns, whether through the air or the return game, finishing his junior season with 79 catches for 1572 yards and 15 TDs. The only hole in his statistical profile is that he essentially did nothing until he got to Bama; with Ohio State, he totaled just 15 catches for 266 yards and 3 TDs in his first two seasons combined. Jameson offers a skill set that is required on every single NFL roster, his field-stretching ability could change the potential of an offense as well as possibly elevate other players around him, but I don’t think his stats will be a good representation of his value for the team that drafts him.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: Green Bay Packers

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (off-season edition). We are so close to The Draft, we can almost taste it here at DFF. As Dynasty Managers, we need to evaluate all of the off-season transactions and think about our roster adjustments every day. Who are we going to target in rookie drafts? Who are we going to go out and trade for? Who are we willing to give up in return? Will you go all in this season to bring home a championship? Or should you go young and prepare for the future? There’s so much to think about before September. The “off-season edition” of this series is an early look at whose stock is up and whose stock is down as we head into draft season. We will break down each NFL team one by one. Today is all about the Green Bay Packers.

DFF: Off-Season Strategy Vol. 1

Your dynasty league season just ended and now you are faced with the tough question, what do I do now? This article will detail the process I go through with each of my dynasty teams at the start of each off-season. This analysis helps me to more easily make moves that will benefit my plans for the future of my team. This process also helps prevent me from making moves that contradict the current goal of my team. That brings me to the first step, we need to determine the current goal of our team and where we see ourselves heading.

Post-Season Dynasty Rookie Rankings: Running Backs 7-10

We did it, fam. We made it through one of the craziest Fantasy Regular Seasons I’ve experienced in a decade because of either injury, Covid, odd bye week scheduling due to the extra game, or more injuries. But alas, we’ve reached the bittersweet transition into the Post-Season and it’s time to game-plan a playoff push or rebuild for 2022 and beyond. Managers should be making moves with the 2021 Rookie Class regardless of whether they’re winners or losers. And what better way to help ensure the right moves are being made than by creating a soon-to-be controversial Dynasty Rankings list by position. We’ll rank and assess The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Truth of all the high-profile rookies to gauge their dynasty trade value starting with running backs.

Post-Rookie Draft Waiver Targets

Each season in dynasty leagues there are post-rookie draft waiver targets that provide a tremendous value for owners who were savvy or lucky enough to find them on their roster. Some provide an immediate “home-run” return like James Robinson did last season. Others make great taxi squad stashes that provide value later and might be tradeable for better assets (think Boston Scott, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, Preston Williams, Collin Johnson, etc.). The majority will fall flat as expected.

Aim For The Top: DFF’s New AccuRankings

Welcome everybody to the start of a brand new day for Dynasty Football Factory! After months of hard work by the best fantasy football crew out there, I am proud to introduce you all to a brand new Rankings page. This is a huge step for our team for a multitude of reasons. First, our old rankings page held our team to only one ranker per league type. This new format allows us to add as many rankers as we want for each league type! We are lucky to have some of the smartest working individuals in the fantasy football industry on our team and now we can show you insight from way more of them. Below I’ll introduce you to our expanded ranking team so you can get to know exactly who you’re trusting with your dynasty teams. Second, this new format allows us to bring you more relevant information such as age and bye weeks whereas the last rankings page only showed players and their team. Last, the new format is dynamic and allows us to easily add new features. This is key for us as we continue to build upon the product we offer to the DFF Army. If you think we’re done making advancements, you are wrong. There will be even more exciting features coming to the site as a whole, as well as the rankings page!

National Championship Game Review: A Devy Newbie’s Perspective

As most of you know, I’m not a devy writer. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever written a devy article for DFF, mostly focusing on dynasty and redraft. I’ve published 377 articles without writing a single devy article thus far. However, that’s all about to change. Like most football fans, I tuned into the National Championship game, where Alabama defeated Ohio State 52-24. I noticed that Alabama was the far superior team, although even I knew that much from my cursory knowledge of college football. This game was the first college game I watched from start to finish all season, so I’m genuinely a new viewer. Even though I wanted to watch the game just for fun, I also got into some of the draft prospects. I know that Alabama and Ohio State are both loaded with incoming NFL talent, especially Alabama. Let’s jump into some of what I saw from a newbie’s perspective.
