The best-kept secret in the Fantasy Community is that the best content and most passionate arguments are completely wasted in analyst group chats. Well, I’m here to change that by giving you a glimpse of DFF’s raw opinions in the group chat and argue against my own colleagues in an article where it counts.
Nevertheless, right now is a great time to look at standings and to think about who is a pretender, who is a contender and where are there mutual needs that might be met in a trade. 2023 picks are very difficult to pry away from people due to the expected high quality of that class, but now is the best time to try and grab them.
To put it lightly, this is not the season fantasy managers hoped for when drafting Joe Mixon (RB – CIN) at his Round One ADP in fantasy drafts this year. 2021’s overall RB4 is quickly falling out of favor and slowly falling out of starting fantasy lineups. Over the last month, he’s been the RB18 and averaged just 11.8 fantasy points per game. So why is this happening and what can we do about it? There are several angles so let’s dive in.

His “magic” comes in the form of ridiculous workout metrics, delectable college production, and tantalizing size. His “horn” is his TE designation. The traveling team is a surprise 1.0-point favorite over the hometown Bears.

In this article I will be writing about players that I feel should be owned in much higher quantities in your dynasty leagues. I will try to stick to low ownership percentages, around 30% or less, but if there is a guy above that, who I think should be owned significantly more I will include them as well. I will be focusing on a 12-team, full PPR set-up for these articles but the players I am choosing should apply in 10-team leagues as well. Without further ado let’s get into the waiver adds.

The Colts enter this contest as underdogs after losing their best offensive weapon, Jonathan Taylor, this past Sunday. On the other side, the Broncos lost their star running back, Javonte Williams, for the season, but the home-field advantage on a short week keeps them as favorites.
Goff exploded last week against Seattle throwing for 378 yards and four touchdowns leading him to be the fifth highest scoring QB this year. What a difference a year can make! And in a game where he was missing Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark, and D’Andre Swift nonetheless. It was an incredible show, but now he must take his Lions into New England, where Bill Belichick is known for making it tough on the opposing team’s best players.

Pickett showed true confidence throwing the ball downfield, something we hadn’t seen out of Mitchell Trubisky. Pickett’s willingness to let it fly is a great sign of his fantasy value. The Steelers have a great group of offensive weapons, headlined by second-year RB Najee Harris. Inserting Pickett into the lineup will only open up more opportunities for Harris. This move increases the stock for every pass-catcher in the offense as well. Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Pat Freiermuth should at least be getting more big-play chances. The biggest winner, however, is rookie WR George Pickens. The 6’3” field-stretching receiver saw the ball come his way much more frequently in the short time he had playing with Pickett under center. We saw what Pickett was able to do at Pitt last season, supporting a Biletnikoff award-winning WR in Jordan Addison. “Pickett to Pickens” is going to be a call we could be hearing for years to come.

Weeks one through three were relatively quiet on the injury front, This week a trio of high-impact fantasy running backs were injured. I go through the latest update on each below and who will step up in their absence.
As if things couldn’t get any worse for the Denver Broncos, it has been reported that second-year running back Javonte Williams has torn his ACL, LCL, and posterior lateral corner, and will miss the remainder of the 2022 season. With the landscape at the running back position already starting off confusing this season, this injury only adds to the chaos. Here’s how I’d navigate moving forward as a dynasty manager.

Every week, we list our top starts and sits with the keys to success for each player. I want to add: I will personally be favoring and fading these players in my own matchups. Now, with the introduction formalities out of the way, let’s dive into the players I believe will make or break your fantasy lineups in Week 4.
Week 4 begins with a scintillating matchup between two AFC contenders as the Dolphins (3-0) travel to the Bengals (1-2) home turf to duke it out on Thursday Night Football. The Dolphins enter the contest as surprising underdogs after a dramatic undefeated start to the 2022 season, which saw the AFC East front runners dismantle the Ravens and the Bills in back-to-back games. Vegas lines are sharp to the injury reports as star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is reportedly a game-time decision with head/neck/back injuries.
Week 4 is officially among us, and it’s now the point of the season when you start to understand where you stand with your fantasy team(s). It may be time to pull off a blockbuster trade.
