Week 7 Start/Sits

Welcome in for our Week 7 edition of Dynasty Start/Sits. Due to injuries and the “bye-apocalypse”, we’re going to dial it back on the sits this week. Instead of the regular three, I’ll be doing two sits per position. We’ve got some great matchups on the slate, so let’s get down to business.

Odell Beckham Jr. to the Ravens

It has been just over a year since we had last seen Odell Beckham Jr. playing football, and we finally learned about his new home, the Baltimore Ravens. In this article, I will be talking about what we should expect from Odell in Baltimore as well as how this move affects the Ravens’ current pieces, and what we should do with Odell on our teams and in startups. Let us not waste any time and just get right into it.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: NFC North

Welcome back to the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (Preseason Edition). Training Camp battles are ramping up. Teams are preparing for their Preseason matchups. And injuries are opening up opportunities for players looking to earn significant roles and/or roster spots. The time to be the most active in Dynasty Leagues is NOW. We are going to hear “hype” reports from beat reporters. And we are going to hear some reports that make us feel a little uneasy about our player investments. Us Dynasty Managers must constantly research ways to bolster our rosters. In this continuation series, we will dive deep into one player whose dynasty stock is increasing and one player whose dynasty stock is decreasing from each team in every division. Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: Minnesota Vikings

Welcome back to the final team for the “Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down” series (offseason edition). We will be continuing this series through training camp and the preseason, but the individual team deep dives will be no longer. Instead, we will break down divisions and find key players to keep an eye on while we approach the regular season. Us dynasty managers must constantly research ways to bolster our rosters. Do you need advice on who to trade for? Maybe you’re looking for players to trade away. Do you have enough young talent to ensure your roster is set for years to come? Maybe you’re going all in and need a couple of pieces to sharpen your team. We will dive deep into one Minnesota player whose dynasty stock is increasing and one Minnesota player whose dynasty stock is decreasing.

Calvin Ridley Out Indefinitely: Rapid Reaction

Calvin Ridley has decided to step away from football per a statement released on Twitter. It’s already been a disappointing season for a player expected to be a top-10 receiver as the first full season as the Falcons’ WR1. Ridley’s underwhelming season comes from a combination of missing a game for personal reasons and Atlanta, particularly Matt Ryan, underperforming. We’ll break down both the redraft and dynasty impact of the news and how we move forward as the third-year player recovers.

Six Shares to Watch After Week 2

Unless we’re analyzing workhorse running backs or alpha wide receivers, a player’s usage can fluctuate from week to week. Some will shine and some will ruin your week. Remember, targets and opportunities are earned. In this series, I will provide weekly target shares, rushing attempt shares, and snap shares of SIX players (or groups of players) to help you understand the value of each of them and decide whether to start ‘em, roster ‘em, or trade ‘em.

FFPC Dynasty & Redraft Series: Week 3

Whew. This past week was much better than the first. Most of my teams that started off with a loss got back to even and a number of solid teams moved to 2-0. Sadly there are more 0-2 teams in my portfolio than I would like. We know a lot more about the landscape out there today than we did two weeks ago, but we still need more time for the process of variance to give us a clearer picture. I have made some crucial start/sit mistakes but am hoping to get ahead of the curve this week and I hope you do, too.
