Week 2 is just about over and I’ve got dynasty names that you should prioritize in your leagues if they’re available. Some of these names will be available depending on league size and are worth putting in a waiver claim on. I’ll be bringing you dynasty free agents each week so, without further ado, here are your week two priority waiver adds!
K.J. Osborn
Clearly solidified as the third option in the receiver room, K.J. Osborn has put up back-to-back impressive weeks. Osborn has commanded an 18% target share in both weeks one and week two and has put up a stat line of 12 catches 167 yards and 1 touchdown. He is competing with two elite wide receivers in Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, but through this early part of the season, he has certainly looked the part. Osborn is a second-year player and is getting his first true game action here in 2021 and has impressed his quarterback Kirk Cousins. He is a perfect add in dynasty formats to stash on the bench and even potentially to use as a bye week fill-in.
Harrison Bryant
I know that you’re sick of me writing about Harrison Bryant. However, in a shallow free agent pool in dynasty formats, he is the perfect addition. Bryant has prototypical size and speed for a tight end and appears to be getting increased usage in the passing game. With Odell Beckham Jr. out of the lineup and Jarvis Landry getting banged up, the Browns relied heavily on their tight end room. Harrison Bryant and Austin Hooper were the two most targeted players on the team in week two. Bryant caught four balls for 49 yards and had a 19% target share. Bryant is not a player that you’re going to plug and play this year necessarily. However, for dynasty, he is a great option for taxi squad or end-of-the-bench stashing.
Cordarrelle Patterson
Patterson has found some nice fantasy life by switching to a hybrid running back role late in his career. In week two he essentially split duties with Mike Davis. Patterson received 12 touches and netted 69 yards and a touchdown. Mike Davis, on the other hand, had 16 touches and finished with 63 yards and no touchdowns. Throughout this game, Patterson looked like the more dynamic option. Accordingly, I could see him taking over the backfield as the season progresses. Patterson is an older dynasty asset, but he can potentially win you some games this season.
Other Players to Watch For
Other names to watch for as they’re likely already rostered in your league: The Bills appear to be comfortable giving Devin Singletary the lion’s share of the running back touches this season. He had moments where he showed some impressive runs, and if he is on waivers he is an immediate add. Freddie Swain got loose for a big touchdown in the Seahawks’ week two loss to the Tennessee Titans and put up a big fantasy game. Swain is not someone that can be started with much confidence, as this is a lower volume passing offense with two alphas locked in at receiver. Swain could be someone to keep your eyes on in dynasty, but he is not necessarily worth an immediate add.
