The Redraft Wire: Week 10

This weekly article is focused on identifying players who are owned in less than 40% of redraft leagues. These players are going to help your team win this week and every week to come! We are looking for guys you should be able to plug into your starting lineup without hesitation. The Las Vegas Raiders are fifth in the league in rushing attempts and while Josh Jacobs has been productive, he can’t handle all the carries. Jacobs’ backup, Devontae Booker, has been incredibly successful over the last two weeks. He’s received at least eight carries and scored a touchdown in each of the last two games. He took 16 carries for 81 yards and scored two total touchdowns. I’m not sure Booker can keep this kind of production up but his offensive snap share has increased to over 20% for the first time this year over the last four games. He’s also a great insurance policy if Jacobs were to suffer an unfortunate injury.

Dynasty Sleeper of the Week: Deonte Harris

Week 6 is in the books, and we are barrelling toward the midpoint of the NFL season. I am back to help you fill out the back end of your roster. Once again, this is not a waiver wire column, these are players that you could add now or wait and watch. My goal is to make you aware of some players off the beaten path. This week we are looking into the New Orleans Saints receiving corps with an electric player out of Assumption College, a 2019 All-Pro, and a Pro Bowler in Year 1. Deonte Harris is a 5’6” WR/Returner that could be a sparkplug type player for the Saints in the future.

Handcuff Heaven 2020

When I began writing fantasy content at Dynasty Football Factory, one of the first pieces I ever sent in was called “Handcuff Heaven”, detailing only the relevant considerations for the term that year and why you should or shouldn’t own them. With that said, I’m excited to reboot one of my first ever articles for DFF. Please enjoy Handcuff Heaven 2020!

Josh Allen: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Josh Allen: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Josh Allen, the most polarizing topic in the twittersphere, is an elite rusher at the quarterback position. Over the last two seasons, Allen ranks either first or second in every fantasy-relevant rushing statistic among quarterbacks. With a league-high 17 TDs and averaging a second-best 40-yards per game, Allen has a rushing floor that elevates his game to a fantasy QB1. So why does drafting Josh Allen as the seventh or eighth quarterback in a superflex startup leave such a foul taste in the mouth?

Holding Pattern: Guys I’m Hanging Onto… For Now

Devin Singletary had some impressive moments in his 2019 rookie campaign. He also spent some time on the bench with a lingering hamstring injury. After starting his season with limited opportunities, Singletary was trusted with 20 carries in week nine. He made the most of that opportunity, finishing as the sixth-best running back that week with 140 rushing yards and 38 yards receiving and added a touchdown. From weeks 11-16, Singletary averaged 17.16 rushes per game and 77.66 rushing yards per game, averaging 4.52 yards per attempt. Not too shabby.

DFF Dynasty Daredevil

In this article, it’s time to look at the dynasty dynamite canisters. These are the guys that can explode in value or blow up and become nothing. I expect each of these players to do exactly that by the end of 2020. There’s no in-between, as I don’t foresee a mediocre outcome. Most of these players are on their “last chance” for dynasty owners. But, each has the upside to be a top asset.

Superflex Dynasty Backup QBs: Tier 1

In this series, I will examine the backup quarterback landscape with a focus on dynasty superflex formats. In those leagues, having a starting quarterback is extremely valuable, so many backups are rostered, with the number depending on how deep the league is. I’ll split the backups into tiers, starting from the most valuable down to the least. Keep in mind that the backup listed here is the backup in dynasty value, not necessarily the backup on the NFL roster. With that said, let’s jump into the top group.

Redraft Team Focus: New Orleans Saints

I’ll split up the fantasy assets into three categories: high-end assets, usable contributors, and dart throws. I’ll reference my PPR redraft rankings at the time of writing, which are here. If you want to read my previous work in this series, the full list with links is at the bottom of the article. Let’s jump into the Saints.

Who to get for the Fantasy Playoffs?

Speaking of quarterbacks that you can get off of waivers unless somebody in your league did this already, we have Nick Foles. Normally, I wouldn’t touch good ol’ St. Nick in fantasy. However, he plays the Raiders and the Falcons during fantasy playoffs, which will make virtually anybody a potential starter. The Raiders and Falcons are two of the teams that allow the most fantasy points to quarterbacks. That’s not good unless you’re starting a quarterback that plays against them, which you can do in back-to-back weeks with Foles in the fantasy playoffs.
