@DynastyDiagnos1 DFF Redraft Championship Draft

As expected, McCaffrey was the first overall selection, leaving me facing down the barrel of the next best dual-threat running back in Saquon Barkley. Barkley surpassed 1,000-yards rushing in 2019 despite missing time and is the most talented pass-catcher on the roster. By the time the 2.11 pick came around 16 running backs and 6 wide receivers had been selected. Choosing between Jonathan Taylor, Allen Robinson, and Travis Kelce at the top of their respective positions I decided that Kelce offered the best value over a replacement player at his position. At the 3.02 turn with Kittle having been selected it was far too tantalizing to pass up the opportunity to stack Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. Referencing the above tweet from Scott Barrett, the plan was to go all on stacking the RB1, TE1, and QB1 and hope for the best when it comes to depth.

Start/Sit Week 1

After what feels like the longest offseason in NFL history, football is back! You’ve finished all of your drafts and had some time to bask in the glory of your undoubtedly stacked roster, but now is the time to make tough decisions. Which players can you truly rely on in your crucial Week 1 matchups? Well, that’s where I come in. Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way.

Week 1 Streamers

In this streaming article, I will provide you the best weekly options to stream quarterback, tight end, and D/ST. In each section, I’ll break down two streamers in detail, both of which will be under 50% owned, according to ESPN’s ownership percentage at the time of writing. Playing the matchups is a crucial feature of redraft fantasy football and, especially in a crazy 2020 season, active fantasy owners will have a massive advantage. I also want to provide added value for each type of streamer this season. I’ll highlight any players from 50-60% owned in each section if they’re superior options to both of my streaming candidates at that specific position. Those players are “probably owned,” but they could be out there in 10-team or shallower formats. I won’t offer analysis on these players, just the names and matchups. If neither of my two suggested streamers is under 25% ownership percentage, I will give a “super-deep” option. That feature should help those owners playing in deeper leagues with few waiver-wire options. Like the “probably owned” players, I’ll list the players without analysis. I realize that all leagues are different, and I want to accommodate all of my readers.

Even though it’s Week 1, many fantasy drafts happened a while ago, and now fantasy owners are looking for streamers. Let’s jump into it!

The Guide: A Round-by-Round Roadmap to Acing Your 2020 Fantasy Draft

I get the same email every year. It usually comes in the first couple of days in September. It’s from a friend who I used to work with. This person is extremely competitive; the kind of person who hates losing more than loves winning. The email is a call for help. My friend knows almost nothing about fantasy football, but wants to crush the people in the fantasy league she was invited to a few years back. I love writing the reply because it allows me to finalize my draft strategy after months of mock drafts and research. This year, I’m happy to make that strategy public. Here it is… the guide!

Sleeper Series: Jalen Reagor

After writing my redraft team breakdown series, I decided to start a new series as we approach the 2020 fantasy season. Every week, or probably more often than that, I’m going to bring you one fantasy sleeper representing a massive value in 2020 redraft leagues. All the links to previous articles are at the bottom of the article. In the first article, I detailed my methodology behind this series, so go back and read that piece if you haven’t yet! Today it’s time for another rookie wide receiver. I believe that Jalen Reagor presents an extreme value in 2020 redraft leagues, and he could even be a league-winner. I’ve even made him my top rookie receiver in redraft formats. Let’s get into why I love Reagor in 2020.

Risers and Fallers: Part 2

As we approach the redraft season, I want to begin a new series of recent risers and fallers based on events happening in the fantasy football world. In each article, I’ll give you two risers and two fallers. There are many reasons that a player could move up or move down, so I’ll cover various situations throughout this article series.

Carson Wentz: 2020 Dynasty Profile

Carson Wentz has been an excellent real-life quarterback after his rookie year, throwing at least three times as many touchdowns as interceptions each season. In 2017, Wentz had an MVP-type season for the 13 games he played, dominating the NFL and leading the Eagles to an 11-2 record in his starts. Unfortunately, Wentz tore his ACL near the end of 2017, causing him to miss the Eagles’ Super Bowl run.

DFF Redraft Staff Half-PPR Mock Review

The DFF team recently did a half-PPR redraft mock. The draft was for a typical 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex, 1 TE, 1 D/ST redraft format with no special bonuses. I want to go through my draft and strategy, round-by-round, and talk through what I was thinking at each pick. Let’s jump into it.

Redraft Team Focus: Eagles

I’m analyzing every one of the 32 NFL teams and all of their redraft-relevant fantasy assets in this article series. It’s a long project, but I want to make sure that you, the reader, have something you can refer to for every team. For each article, I’ll split up the fantasy assets into three categories: high-end assets, usable contributors, and dart throws. Let’s jump into the Eagles.

Redraft SF/TE Prem Mock Draft: QB Strategy

Recently, the DFF team and I participated in a PPR, superflex, 1.5 PPR tight end premium redraft mock. Unlike our previous mock draft breakdowns, I’m not planning to go team-by-team and discuss how much I like each roster. However, I’ll reference my team, which I drafted from the 1.05 slot, as a basis for my general thoughts. The point of this exercise was to look at quarterback value and tight end value in this format and draw conclusions about strategy. In this first part, I’ll discuss how to handle the quarterback position in redraft superflex leagues, compared to both dynasty superflex and redraft 1QB formats.

Taxi Squad Spring Cleaning Part 4: QB Edition

In this series of articles, I’m looking at rookies from the 2019 class that can be removed from your taxi squads to make room for 2020 rookies. These are players that all have little to no dynasty value, but dynasty owners selected in at least some 2019 rookie drafts. This is the quarterback edition.

DraftKings: Wild Card Weekend Breakdown

On the eve of Wild Card Weekend, I’ll provide a quick break down of all the players I think you can consider in your DraftKings lineups for the full four-game slate. You can also use it accordingly for the two-game slates if you’re playing those as well. On a slate like this, build yourself a narrative about how you believe the games will go. More often than not, there’s no need to get super-weird and roster an entire lineup of off-the-board plays. It’s more beneficial to build a lineup with upside and then identify a few players that you believe are in far better spots than the rest of the field based on your narrative. On small playoff slates, rostering just one very low-owned player or fading a chalky one you don’t like can jump you over huge chunks of the field in GPPs. Quarterbacks Top Tier Drew Brees ($6,600): For me, it’s death, taxes, and rostering Drew Brees at home. He’ll likely be the highest owned quarterback on the slate and I’ll still have more than the average. Since Week 1 of 2018, Brees has made 13 starts at home and is averaging over 27.5 DraftKings points per game over this span. He’s too cheap for what he brings in this spot. Middle Tier Russell Wilson ($6,800): Were he not priced higher than Brees, he might have made the upper tier. But as it is, he’s hard to pay up for. The argument here is that with a decimated backfield and injuries mounting on the defensive side of the
