Six Redraft Shares to Watch After Week 11

Unless we’re analyzing workhorse running backs or alpha wide receivers, a player’s usage can fluctuate from week to week. Some will shine and some will ruin your week. Remember, targets and opportunities are earned. After two weeks of disappearing, I will be making a special edition. In this series, I will provide target shares, rushing attempt shares, and snap shares of EIGHT players (or group of players) on this past three weeks to help you understand the value of each of them and decide whether to start ‘em, roster ‘em, or trade ‘em.

Raiding The IDP Waiver Wire: Week 12

Players qualifying for this column are those rostered in no more than a third of IDP leagues on MyFantasyLeague.com (MFL); moreover, new names appear in each edition. Occasional readers are encouraged to visit past weeks’ write-ups for more options. Finally, these recommendations further assume you, the manager, have finite roster space with challenging cut decisions to add new names.

Dynasty Sleeper of the Week: Eno Benjamin

This edition of Dynasty Sleeper of the Week features a player who many have quickly forgotten about and tossed aside in favor of another waiver addition, but could we all have jumped ship just a bit too soon?

Time to discuss why Eno Benjamin still holds value and is featured as the dynasty sleeper of the week!

Rapid Reaction: Chase Edmonds Injury

Reports surfaced today that Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 9 against the 49ers, per Adam Schefter on Twitter. Edmonds is expected to miss multiple games. As we saw with Broncos’ wide receiver Jerry Jeudy earlier this season, these injuries can take over a month to heal and have lingering effects on a player’s performance upon return. I highlighted some of the rehab and mobility concerns surrounding ankle sprains in my Kyler Murray Injury reaction article

Moves to Make in a Dynasty Rebuild

While losing isn’t fun, especially in fantasy football, I would advise taking a different view of your team. Once you change your perspective, rebuilding can then be the real goal rather than winning week in and week out. Actually losing in your tanking efforts is now the mission. I am going to go over a few moves we can make at this point through the season while our teams cement themselves at the bottom of the league standings.

Kyler Murray Injury: Rapid Reaction

Kyler has not produced the video-game level numbers that were projected of him this offseason. Dubbed a “Konami Code” quarterback, Kyler has not rushed for a touchdown since Week 3 against the Jaguars. He has just 147 rushing yards this season, averaging a paltry 18.3 rushing yards per game. Kyler’s once rock-solid rushing upside has crumbled and should continue to decline post-injury.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 7

Demario Davis had one of the best games of his career on Monday Night Football this week. The 10-year veteran created 10 total tackles, four TFLs, two sacks, and defended a pass to help beat the Seahawks. A consistent producer for many years, Davis remains a locked-in weekly starter in IDP fantasy football.

As we discover trends through the season we will be able to make more determined analyses on specific picks. To go along with matchups and trends, we will look at key fantasy players who have the most beneficial or detrimental matchups.

Rookie Stock Report: Week 6

Khalil Herbert is set to be Chicago’s RB1 for Week 6 after an injury to David Montgomery and Damien Williams being placed on the Covid list. Fortunately enough Herbert has looked like a better prospect than his draft stock would indicate and has made the most of his touches. Herbert is an explosive downhill runner that is a better backup to Montgomery than Williams. If I could get him for cheap he’s a stash I’d love to have stashed on my roster.

Zach Ertz to the Cardinals: Rapid Reaction

Many of us were expecting the Eagles to trade one of their tight ends, and many thought Ertz would be the one to go. Well, it finally happened and he landed in a very ideal spot. In this piece, I will talk about what the Cardinals’ offense has looked like so far through the season. Then I will highlight what to expect from Ertz and how he will affect the other Cardinals’ pieces. I will also discuss the Eagles and how they will differ from the loss of Ertz.

IDP Wrap Up: Week 1

The Arizona Cardinals played a terrific game in Tennessee on Sunday. The defensive unit held Derrick Henry in check and pestered Ryan Tannehill all day long. In total, defenders racked up six sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception against a strong offense on the road. Arizona must be considered a strong option at DST after such an excellent performance. Top players include Chandler Jones (see below), Isaiah Simmons, and Budda Baker.

2021 Redraft: Isaac’s Positional “My Guys”

As draft season inches closer, it’s important to have an idea of who you want to target and when you want to target them on draft day. Below, you will find a list of “My Guys” who I will be heavily targeting at their respective ADPs in all of my redraft leagues. Keep in mind, you want to make sure you are drafting players for positional value, instead of reaching and potentially diminishing your team’s chances right out the gate. Without further adieu, let’s get started.

Film Study Guide: Scouting Elite Route-Runners

Film vs Analytics is one of the contested debates in the fantasy community. Both are important and one hand washes the other. Scouting and watching film are the foundation of evaluating talent. If data was the only indicator of success, NFL scouts wouldn’t need a scouting department. They would hire a Google Intern to run algorithms for them. On the flip side, data can help you make unbiased decisions and adjust your rankings by having a macro-level view of a pool of statistics. It’s important to understand what coaches look at on the field or in training camp because they decide if a player will even see the field. Not your algorithm. Moreover, learning scouting and theory can help you understand why players perform the way they do and what makes your data sing or choke.

Fantasy Stock Up, Stock Down: NFC West

With the injury bug attacking San Francisco as a team in recent seasons, the rookie RB could find opportunities sooner than later. Jeff Wilson has already been struck with bad luck this offseason with a torn meniscus. Raheem Mostert is penciled in as the team’s starter for now, and he has played in all 16 games once in his seven years in the league. San Francisco also brought in Wayne Gallman from free agency this offseason, an RB who has never played in all 16 games and only holds 14 career starts under his belt in four seasons.

In comes the rookie out of Ohio State, Trey Sermon. He was drafted out of the third round in this year’s NFL Draft, and he may find a steady role in this offense. Although he isn’t known as an elite pass-catcher, it wouldn’t be surprising if he turned into one. Right now, there are the three other RBs that will battle with him for playing time, but if he could find a way to become a threat in the receiving game, there’s no doubt that he will take more snaps than both Gallman and Wilson.

Dynasty Sleepers 2021: RB Edition

The days of the traditional sleeper are quickly fading with a community full of hard-working analysts and tape grinders who nail down even the least known players before most of the NFL scouts can get their eyes on them. Ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration (It’s not!) but the dynasty market is saturated with content. Therefore, most players will be given some sort of spotlight and as a result, the entire population of dynasty managers is more knowledgeable as a whole making “sleepers” much more difficult to discover and take advantage of.
