Incoming Rookie Quarterbacks

With the recent draft trades, things are spicing up a month before the NFL draft is set to open and teams are doing their best to fill fans with hope for upcoming seasons. I’ll be analyzing the incoming rookie quarterbacks in this one because teams don’t trade up to take any other position than the face of the franchise. It will be more than likely a run of quarterbacks very early in this year’s draft, and for Superflex leagues, it’ll be hard to decide between more than a few of these players.

Best Fantasy Destinations for Will Fuller

As the start of NFL free agency inches closer, now is an excellent time to explore some landing spots that could boost Will Fuller’s outlook. The speedy wideout will be entering his sixth season and is coming off a year cut short due to a six-game PED suspension after Week 12. Fuller was on pace for a monster season, posting career-highs in receptions, yards, and TDs to the tune of 53/879/8 in 11 games played. He was the WR8 in PPR scoring during that stretch. The suspension came at a crucial time in the fantasy season as those who owned him had to find a way to replace that production heading into the fantasy playoffs.

Bryce Young: 2021 Devy Profile

Bryce Young should be the unquestioned starter in 2021. He plays behind an offensive line that proves to be one of the best in the country year after year. He will undoubtedly be surrounded by the next wave of Bama stars. Young’s top receiving option should be John Metchie who recorded 55 receptions for 914 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Justyn Ross: A Wide Receiver Possessed

Justyn Ross is possibly the best wide receiver to play for Clemson University, if not one of the best we have seen in the college game of recent memory. Better than DeVonta Smith. Yes, I said that and stand by it. He has the size (6’4”/205 lbs.) and despite his pedestrian 4.87 40 time, as soon as he straps on a helmet and pads, he takes it to a whole other level. The current NFL player I would most likely compare him to is another Clemson WR product, DeAndre Hopkins. His size, catch radius and just football instincts are second to none.

Navigating your Rookie Draft: 2021 Quarterbacks

There has been a meteoric rise in the number of dynasty leagues that are either starting up as Superflex leagues or transitioning to Superflex leagues, it is the way to go. Now there will always be a nostalgic place for one quarterback leagues for fantasy football players, but devaluing the most important position in football, arguably in all of sports does not hold much value anymore.

NFL Team Deep Dive: Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars fired both HC Doug Marrone and GM Dave Caldwell. Caldwell was the first to be let go. Leading Jacksonville to a mediocre 39-87 record in eight seasons. The Jaguars lost 10 or more games in seven of those seasons. After a franchise-record 10th consecutive loss, team-owner Shad Khan decided to pull the plug on Caldwell. Trent Baalke took over as the interim GM and has a chance to take over as the official GM of the team.

2020: The Year of “Tanking for Trevor” and “Failing for Fields”

Trevor Lawrence is perhaps the best quarterback prospect ever. Coming out of high school Lawrence was rated the second-highest among quarterbacks behind only Vince Young historically. The 6’6” and 220 lbs. Clemson superstar led his team to a National Championship as a true freshman over the great Alabama Crimson Tide. To this date, Lawrence has led his Tigers to a 27-1 record with the sole loss coming against the best statistical offense in college football history. In those 28 games, Lawrence has thrown for a ridiculous 70 TDs versus only 12 interceptions, which is good for a 5.8 TD to interception ratio. He also averages 8.9-yards per attempt, and amazingly all of these statistics are going to increase in a conference only play season. NFL draft experts Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and Dane Brugler all have Lawrence as the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

DFF Devy League Manual

The DFF Devy Manual: Part 1

Devy leagues by nature are dynasty leagues. A dynasty league is defined as rosters being constant year over year, with an annual draft for incoming rookies. While a devy league will have annual drafts, once you have a devy player, they are automatically transferred to your roster. This excludes them from the annual draft.

DFF Dynasty Daredevil

In this article, it’s time to look at the dynasty dynamite canisters. These are the guys that can explode in value or blow up and become nothing. I expect each of these players to do exactly that by the end of 2020. There’s no in-between, as I don’t foresee a mediocre outcome. Most of these players are on their “last chance” for dynasty owners. But, each has the upside to be a top asset.

DFF Rookie Round Table, Part 3: Tee Higgins

After recently releasing my rookie rankings, I wanted to open up the floor to constructive criticism.  I also wanted to see where I was not aligned with other DFF analysts. So, we conducted a round table discussion. This discussion is now a 10-part series of informal articles. In these articles, analysts debate why some of their favorite rookie(s) should be moved up. And in one case, moved down!

Three Devy Prospects Who Need Week Two Bounce Back Weeks

Week 1 of the College football season saw some electric performances by some of the top devy assets. We saw Travis Etienne run wild for 205 yards and three touchdowns, Tua Tagovailoa tossed four touchdown passes, and saw Rondale Moore pick up where he left off last year with 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, for every good performance, there is usually one bad one everyone is talking about. Here are three devy prospects who need a big bounce back weeks in week two of the College football season. I focus on three guys who I have ranked atop of their positions who disappointed in week one and need big bounce backs in week two.

Clemson’s Newest Five-Star Recruit: DJ Uiagalelei

From Deshaun Watson to Trevor Lawrence, Clemson has had great success at quarterback in recent years. They’ve appeared in three college football championships and won two championships between the two quarterbacks since 2014. The Tigers may have found their successor to bring even more championship wins to Clemson. The Tigers have landed top quarterback prospect in the 2020 class, DJ Uiagalelei from Saint John Bosco High School. Uiagalelei is a five-star recruit, according to 247Sports. They have him compared to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and already projected him as a first-round pick.
