This one is mainly for the SuperFlex and 2QB leagues but Andy Dalton may even be relevant in your single QB leagues. Dak Prescott suffered a gruesome ankle injury, ending his promising season. Dalton wasn’t bad, completing nine of eleven attempts after Prescott went out. He has every weapon he could ask for as a backup quarterback in the NFL and should produce well in Dak’s place.

We are looking for guys you should be able to plug into your starting lineup without hesitation. If you’re the Nick Chubb owner, you definitely need to be reading this. D’Ernest Johnson is on just about every waiver wire and really showed he can produce in Chubb’s absence. Johnson took 13 carries for 95 yards and is surely in line for a similar workload going forward. Reports indicate Chubb’s MCL injury will keep him sidelined for several weeks so this isn’t just a one-week solution.

The Packers have been searching far and wide to assist Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams but we’re never sure who it will be. MVS could finally be separating himself from the pack (no pun intended). He finished Week 1 with four receptions on six targets for 96 yards and a 45-yard touchdown. The Packer’s deep threat should be at the top of your waiver list if receivers are needed.

Redraft Impact of PPR Scoring

The original idea of half and full PPR scoring was to even out the production between running backs and wide receivers. In the past, say 15-20 years ago, running backs significantly outscored wide receivers. But, giving points per reception leveled the playing field. I’ll break down whether that’s still true, but that was the primary purpose behind PPR scoring systems. Also, basing scoring on receptions creates more predictability in projecting fantasy points. As always, fantasy leagues are more fun when they reward skill over luck. Specifically, adding PPR scoring reduces the scoring impact of touchdowns, which are highly unpredictable, in favor of receptions, which are highly predictable.

Everyone wants the hot new thing. As kids, we all wanted the brand new toy for Christmas and turned our noses up at the pairs of socks we sometimes got instead. Now that we are adults we want the cool new sports car instead of the pre-owned Honda. It’s the same in fantasy football. Everybody wants to be the guy who drafts the young running back who vaults himself into the first round next year. We all target those third-year wide receivers looking for that elusive breakout. But you know what? Those socks are a good present. They get the job done and you use them all the time. That pre-owned Honda is reliable and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to maintain. You can find similar values every year in fantasy football. No one in your draft room will let out a sigh of relief when you take one of these guys, but they’ll get the job done for you. Brandin Cooks: A Must-Own in 2020

As you can see, Cooks has been a highly productive receiver with every stop. It doesn’t matter if he was new to the roster or not. He hasn’t always been the most targeted receiver on his team. Only twice has this happened in his career. Once with the Saints in 2015 and once with the Patriots in 2017– yet he’s still put up four 1,000-yard seasons.

Antonio Brown’s Wild Ride: Wins even when he loses

In a shocking turn of events, Antonio Brown has agreed to terms with the Patriots. The idea has been tossed around over the last couple of weeks during Brown’s fallout with Oakland as a complete joke.
No one could have actually guessed, or have thought Antonio Brown would be released by the Raiders and sign with New England, but here we are.
Tom Brady passing to Antonio Brown is a reality. Mr. Big Chest brings his talents to Foxboro for at least a year. Adam Schefter reports the Patriots have agreed to a one year deal worth up to $15m that includes $9m signing bonus, another $1m guaranteed and $5m in incentives.
