Long Reign The King

At Dynasty Football Factory, we are always trying to become the best version of ourselves in all facets of the fantasy game. That is why we like to expand our horizons every chance we can and do things outside of our comfort zone. In comes our redraft league, where myself and 13 other staff members participated in. So today I invite you to grab something to drink, get comfortable and I’ll tell you the tale of how I brought out my boomstick and decimated the league, going 13-1 and walking away with the title and an overall record of 15-1. I’ll recap my draft and my thought process behind it along with the moves that made me look like Rainman at the blackjack tables in Vegas and not some idiot having to eat a “one chip challenge” because Houston won more than two games.

Post-Season Dynasty Rookie Rankings: Running Backs 7-10

We did it, fam. We made it through one of the craziest Fantasy Regular Seasons I’ve experienced in a decade because of either injury, Covid, odd bye week scheduling due to the extra game, or more injuries. But alas, we’ve reached the bittersweet transition into the Post-Season and it’s time to game-plan a playoff push or rebuild for 2022 and beyond. Managers should be making moves with the 2021 Rookie Class regardless of whether they’re winners or losers. And what better way to help ensure the right moves are being made than by creating a soon-to-be controversial Dynasty Rankings list by position. We’ll rank and assess The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Truth of all the high-profile rookies to gauge their dynasty trade value starting with running backs.

How Does a 17-Game Season Impact Fantasy Football?

Recently the NFL announced plans to expand the season, adding one additional regular-season game. This has led to a lot of speculation on how record books will change, and some players, most notably Alvin Kamara, expressed disappointment. With this change, managers and league commissioners will have some adapting to do in the upcoming season, so let’s look at what’s in store.

Fantasy Football Formats: Gotta Try’em All!

The best way to play fantasy football is to not care about the rules of the game at all. My home league had one flaw that kept hassling us as the years went by. We completely forgot that fantasy football is a game. It’s a game about a game and you make the rules. Why not play around with them? Keep you and your friends on their toes! Give no one an edge by mixing it up with your redraft leagues every year.

Looking Ahead to Week 15

In this weekly article, I’m going to look ahead to the following week. I’ll point out a few players below 40% owned on ESPN who have strong matchups next week that you can pick up ahead of time to beat the waiver run. With added IR spots in most leagues, you can also shift injured players there, opening up a roster spot for these options. At this point, we’re playing a weekly game. Don’t drop anyone you need to use this week in the playoffs to prepare for a possible Week 15 matchup. If you don’t win this week, you won’t have a next week. But, if you have a first-round bye, this column is essential for you. Start preparing for Week 15 now, while your league mates focus on the first round of the playoffs.

Start/Sit Week 13

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 13.

It feels wrong, but Mitchell Trubisky is a perfectly fine streamer this week. Trubisky put up solid numbers in the team’s loss to Green Bay, and he should be a solid QB2 against the Lions in Week 13. Detroit is allowing the 7th most fantasy points and passing yards per game.

Start/Sit Week 12

Last week, I told you to start the wrong Saints’ QB. I won’t be making that mistake twice. In his first start, Taysom Hill proved he’s at least somewhat competent as a passer. He completed 18 of 23 passes for 233 yards, and at least 1 of those incompletions was a drop. With his high rushing floor, Hill should be startable in most matchups until Drew Brees returns.

Start/Sit Week 11

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 11.

Jameis Winston is expected to start for the Saints while Drew Brees recovers from fractured ribs. Despite his propensity for interceptions, Winston has been an incredibly relevant fantasy option in recent years. He’s stepping into an ideal matchup against the Falcons, who have allowed 300 passing yards in eight of nine games this season. He’s at least a low-end QB1 this week.

Start/Sit Week 9

Each and every week, I’ll be covering a handful of players that I believe will either exceed expectations or let your team down in a major way. Here’s who you should be looking at for Week 9. Sterling Shepard immediately became Daniel Jones’ favorite target when he returned to the lineup in Week 7. In the past two weeks, he’s been targeted 8 and 10 times, respectively, for 133 yards and a TD. Shepard will be a flex-worthy option in all PPR formats for as long as he can maintain this volume.
