The Draft starts in Mobile, Alabama. Over the past two seasons, the player who has won Senior Bowl MVP honors was selected early in the first round of the NFL Draft. In 2019, that was Daniel Jones going sixth overall to become the New York Giants franchise quarterback. In 2020, Justin Herbert scorched the Senior Bowl, earning MVP honors and being selected sixth overall to the Los Angeles Chargers. Herbert went on to set rookie quarterback records and is one of the most valuable Superflex dynasty quarterbacks and players overall. Since 2014, there have been a number of players to play in the senior bowl and go on to become very good NFL players and correspondingly very valuable fantasy assets.

Zachary Evans has been one of the top players in the 2020 recruiting class, but after a lengthy recruitment that finally landed him at TCU, he has emerged as the Horned Frogs’ featured back. Evans stands at 5’11” and 195 lbs. has a body nearly ready for NFL action, and his skill set is emerging as one of the most difficult matchups in the nation. Evans was a five-star prospect across all ranking platforms. Along with having the prototypical running back body type, Evans is a consummate athlete who ran a 4.51-second 40-yard dash in high school and conveyed his elusiveness with a positional best 3.91-second shuttle time. Evans was the top recruit that the Horned Frogs have ever received according to 247 Sports, including Eagles phenom receiver Jalen Reagor, and is the best running back for TCU since LaDainian Tomlinson (online platforms were not ranking high school prospects back in Tomlinson’s day).

Draft Stock Watch: Week 12

The Week 12 slate of games saw a pair of ranked teams fall and a handful of the top teams in the nation get taken down to the wire, only to prevail late in the game. #10 Wisconsin lost a defensive battle against conference foe #19 Northwestern and #21 Liberty saw their game-winning field goal attempt blocked in an upset loss to unranked North Carolina State. On the draft front, many prospects had stand-out games and improved their stocks. While it was difficult to select just a couple of performances to feature, we’ll now review which players increased or decreased their ranks!

There were not many surprises in the Week 11 slate games this weekend, as the only ranked team to fall was #17 SMU in a close loss to Tulsa in which they led most of the game. Observing the shift in power among the BIG10 and SEC football conferences have proven interesting to watch this season. This past weekend, from an individual performance standpoint, there were a lot of future NFL stars to post strong stat lines, making this weeks’ featured risers a difficult decision. Two-years ago The Citadel took second-ranked, Tua Tagovailoa led Alabama to a 10-10 tie at halftime before ultimately falling to the powerhouse Tide. Their matchup against Clemson did not go quite as well. By the start of the second quarter, Clemson was up by 35 and backup quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei was already in the game. Trevor Lawrence is playing like a first overall pick should in this young season completing 81% of his passes for an average of over 14 yards per attempt and four TDs to zero interceptions. Star senior running back Travis Etienne is showing his versatility, and sophomore receiver Frank Ladson Jr. is showing signs of a breakout season.

Pooka’s ability to create yards after the catch will be why he continues to rise up the rankings. Don’t sleep on this kid to be an early to mid-round pick in the NFL Draft when he decides to declare. Williams could prove to be worth rostering in devy and dynasty leagues because of the electric plays he can create. With a loaded 2021 running back class, Williams should be considered a sleeper if he declares.
