Week 8 was National Tight End Week in the NFL. No rookie tight end really played well outside of Brock Bowers. I will say this, though: The rookie class came out of nowhere this week and put up some big performances. A few more names made their debut in the dynasty rookie stock market article. Without further ado, let’s dive in!
Jalen Coker
Yes, Xavier Legette caught his third touchdown of the season on Sunday. However, he was not the best rookie wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers in the game against the Denver Broncos. That title belongs to Mr. Jalen Coker! No Diontae Johnson on Sunday led to the second-most routes run and second-most targets earned. He turned six targets into four catches, 78 yards, and a touchdown. Overall, this team is very young, but these rookies are showing signs of life!
Marvin Harrison Jr.
There have been questions floating around asking if Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to be the elite-level prospect that he was pegged to be. From weeks five through seven, he didn’t have a finish in the top 55 of fantasy wide receivers. Yes, Kyler Murray missed Harrison Jr. on many open looks that could’ve turned into a big day for the young star. Unfortunately, missing a receiver doesn’t count for fantasy production. In Week 8, Marvin Harrison Jr returned in a big way, catching six passes on seven targets for 111 yards and a touchdown. A “get back on track” game for him and a much-needed game for the connection between him and Kyler Murray. As that connection between him and Kyler Murray continues to develop, Marvin Harrison Jr. could be a league winner in the second half of the season. Don’t panic; the young star is back!

Ladd McConkey
Ladd McConkey has been a consistent wide receiver for Justin Herbert this season, but Week 8 was his breakout game, catching six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. The best play was McConkey’s sixty-yard house call in the third quarter. The most impressive part of Ladd McConkey’s game has got to be his ability to work after the catch. Someone his size doesn’t typically portray that skill set, but guess what? He has it. The game could’ve been even better; Ladd McConkey caught a pass inside the eight-yard line and took it for a gain of seven yards. Getting tackled at the one-yard line is frustrating, especially for us fantasy owners. A two-touchdown game is great, but a three-touchdown game is even better. Sitting at my WR29 in dynasty rankings, I believe Ladd McConkey has the potential to crack the top 25. Currently, this Los Angeles Chargers offense does not have the passing volume to make that happen, but the overall skill set of Ladd McConkey makes him a reliable pass-catching option for Justin Herbert long-term. He is a great buy-low for any dynasty roster.
Bo Nix
Playing the Carolina Panthers can fix any young quarterback struggles. Sean Payton opened the playbook up on Sunday, and Bo Nix turned in his best game of the year, completing 28 of 37 for 284 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also added another score on the ground. Over the last three weeks, Bo Nix has been averaging over 20 fantasy points per game, making him a top-five quarterback in that stretch. The former Oregon Duck is still developing, but it seems like the Denver Broncos have a quarterback they can build around for the future!
Another week of NFL football, another week of young rookies making their debut in the dynasty rookie stock watch article.
