Today we’re going to be looking at the dynasty impact of the entire 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft, offensive pick by pick. This is part one of a two-part article.
Chicago Bears – Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams is going to be a star in the NFL and lands in a situation in Chicago where he is surrounded by talent in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet, and newly acquired Rome Odunze. Williams should be the unquestioned 1.1 in upcoming SF rookie drafts.

Washington Commanders – Jayden Daniels
The dual-threat Heisman trophy winner lands in Washington where he’ll have Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson to throw too. Daniels can get it done with this arm as well as his legs and I’m excited to see him unlock “Scary” Terry McLaurin, as we’ve never seen McLaurin with an actual NFL-caliber QB. Look for Daniels to have immediate success at the next level.
New England Patriots – Drake Maye
Maye lands in New England where on the surface they lack weapons, however, the Pats attempted to address this in the draft, in their own way. The Patriots added Ja’lynn Polk and Javon Baker as targets for Maye. I’m not the biggest fan of the Polk pick but love Javon Baker and think he and Maye will make sweet music together for years. Maye has some Josh Allen in him in the way he plays, draft with confidence.

Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison Jr.
The unquestioned WR1 of the class lands in Arizona where he’ll be tied to QB Kyler Murray. If he can stay on the field Murray has proven to be an elite QB at the next level and he should have no trouble unlocking Harrison Jr. Marvin Harrison Jr is a special talent that should set the league on fire starting week one.
New York Giants – Malik Nabers
Malik Nabers is an excellent WR but his situation in NYG scares me a bit. I worry that Daniel Jones just isn’t good enough to get him the ball consistently. Great WRs tend to make middle-of-the-road QBs look amazing, and I hope that Nabers is good enough where his QB play won’t even matter. While Daniel Jones does scare me, I’m still drafting Nabers with confidence and assuming he is QB proof.
Atlanta Falcons – Michael Penix Jr.
This was the most perplexing pick of the 1st round of the NFL Draft. The Falcons, who just acquired Kirk Cousins via free agency and paid him a ton of money, decided to go QB in the first round. Michael Penix Jr is a great QB from the pocket but anyone drafting him in a fantasy draft will have to exercise patience as he won’t see the field for at least two years, barring injury. When he does finally see the field, he’ll have a nice duo to throw to in Kyle Pitts and Drake London.
