Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back for your Week 15 edition of Dynasty Start/Sits! For most leagues, it’s the start of the playoffs, and I hope you worked yourself into position for a first-round bye. In case you didn’t, I got you covered. Let’s get to it!
Starts – Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams
Vs. Washington Commanders
Stafford just posted his third straight top-10 game in a row. I’m hopping on the bandwagon this week as he faces a Washington Defense giving up the most passing yards in the league. I think starting him is a no-brainer this week.
Will Levis – Tennessee Titans
Vs. Houston Texans
Houston allows the second-fewest yards per rush attempt over their last three games. The Titans could struggle running the ball this week. As he gains more experience, Levis is getting more comfortable in the pocket, and Mike Vrabel is getting more comfortable, allowing him to let it rip. I’ve got him as a mid/high-end QB2 this week.
Jake Browning — Cincinnati Bengals
Vs. Minnesota Vikings
Browning has played well enough the last two weeks that I’m questioning whether Burrow might be overrated. Minnesota is a neutral matchup for QBs this year, so I want to see how Browning performs. I like him a lot as a dart throw for an underdog this week.
Sits – Quarterbacks
Gardner Minshew— Indianapolis Colts
Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Minshew has been a quality QB for teams this season. However, when facing good defenses this season, he proves why he’s a backup QB. I don’t mind him in favorable matchups, but this isn’t one of them. Pittsburgh ranks in the top 10 of fewest points allowed to QBs this year, so It’s probably best to look elsewhere for meaningful production.
Tua Tagovailoa —Miami Dolphins
Vs. New York Jets
This isn’t the same Dolphins offense we saw at the start of the season. Miami has dropped outside of the top-10 passing offenses over their last three games. The Jets just got done shutting down CJ Stroud’s fantastic rookie campaign. After last week’s performance, I’m not precisely banking on Tua to outperform his matchup.
Derek Carr– New Orleans Saints
Vs. New York Giants
Derek Carr is now permanently on my sit list. He’s already an average QB at best, and he recently said he’s been playing with three rib fractures. The Giants are a Neutral matchup for QBs, but I expect Carr to underperform as he has been since week nine.
Starts – Running Backs
Raheem Mostert – Miami Dolphins
Vs. New York Jets
The matchup’s winner will be decided by who runs the ball better. He’s received 20 or more touches in three of his last four games and should see solid usage again this week. If the Dolphins get up big early, they’ll likely try to get the ball to Mostert to bring down the clock. He’s a top-24 play this week.
Najee Harris — Pittsburgh Steelers
@ Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are among the top-5 best matchups for RBs this year. The defense is broken, and thank god, because so is Pittsburgh’s offense. However, one thing they can do reasonably well is run the ball. Harris is the lead back, and although Warren is probably more explosive, Harris will have the better day this week, being the better between-the-tackles RB.
Tyjae Spears — Tennessee Titans
Vs. Houston Texans
I expect the Titans to play from behind for most of this game. Spears fits better for that type of game than Henry does. He’s finished as a top-20 RB and received 60+% snap share in back-to-back weeks. It seems the Titans finally understand that Derrick Henry is a relic of the past, and players like Spears are better equipped to help teams win today.
Sits – Running Backs
Javonte Williams— Denver Broncos
@ Detroit Lions
Williams finally scored his first TD of the season last week, and many are hoping for his second this week. Williams is a strong candidate to get fantasy managers booted from the playoffs early. In twelve games, he’s scored more than ten fantasy points just four times. At this point in the year, It would be unwise to believe that he’ll help your fantasy teams get to the next round.
Kenneth Walker – Seattle Seahawks
Vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Walker scored under eight points in back-to-back weeks. This week, he takes on the only defense allowing fewer fantasy points to RBs than the 49ers. He’ll likely face a negative game script against a potent Eagles offense, and the odds are in favor of another game, under ten points.
Brian Robinson – Washington Commanders
@ Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are finally getting their passing attack firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately for Robinson, a low-scoring, slow-paced game might not be in the cards for him. Unless he starts seeing more check-downs and screenplays, Robinson might not have the opportunity to see enough volume for fantasy relevance. I would avoid this week.
Starts – Wide Receivers
Zay Flowers– Baltimore Ravens
@ Jacksonville Jaguars
Flowers is coming off back-to-back top 10 weeks. He’s been WR20 or better in every game Mark Andrews hasn’t played. WRs have been feasting on the Jaguars defense all year. Flowers is easily a top 24 option this week.
Zay Jones – Jacksonville Jaguars
Vs. Baltimore Ravens
With Christian Kirk out for the year, Jones becomes an optimal flex play. He’s earned 22 targets in his last two games and has become an integral part of the Jacksonville offense. It’s only a matter of time before Jones scores a TD. If you need an underrated ceiling play, Jones is as good as they come.
Curtis Samuel — Washington Commanders
@ Los Angeles Rams
If you’re looking for a deep floor play, look no further. The Commanders are coming off a bye, so they’ve had plenty of time to find new ways to get Samuel the ball. The Rams allow the tenth fewest rushing yards per game over their last three. If Brian Robinson can’t be effective, Samuel, who has earned 17 targets over his previous two games, should play a more prominent role in this matchup.
Sits – Wide Receivers
Drake London – Atlanta Falcons
Vs. Carolina Panthers
Desmond Ridder just had the best game of his career last week. However, this is the Falcons we’re talking about, and two good things can’t happen in a row. Carolina allows the third-fewest passing yards in the league this year and the sixth-fewest fantasy points to WRs. Atlanta doesn’t throw the ball enough, and the matchup is too bad for London to be an intelligent play this week.
Jaylen Waddle – Miami Dolphins
Vs. New York Jets
This sit is assuming Hill plays. It’s hard to sit waddle, given his talent level, but hear me out. The ceiling isn’t that high for him this year. He’s been a top -15 WR only twice this year. He’s facing the defense, allowing the fewest fantasy points to WRs by a large margin. The Dolphins must find other ways to move the ball downfield this week.
Jakobi Meyers – Las Vegas Raiders
Vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Meyers has yet to finish as a top-30 WR without scoring a TD this year. He’ll likely need to achieve fantasy relevance this week. The Chargers haven’t allowed 250 or more pass yards since week 11. He’s a major Boom/ bust option this week and one I’d rather avoid.
Starts – Tight Ends
David Njoku – Cleveland Browns
Vs. Chicago Bears
Njoku is one of Joe Flacco‘s favorite targets. He’s had 6+ targets in his last eight matchups and finished as a top-12 TE in seven of his previous eight, including a two-TD performance last week. As long as Flacco is behind center, Njoku should provide serviceable fantasy production.
Logan Thomas— Washington Commanders
@ Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are coming off a week in which they gave up 16.8 fantasy points to Isaiah Likely. They allow the third most fantasy points to TEs this year. If you’re in TE trouble this week, Thomas is a solid candidate to outperform his projections.
Sits – Tight Ends
Dalton Kincaid – Buffalo Bills
Vs. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas is a neutral matchup for TEs this year. However, Kincaid is currently dealing with shoulder and thumb injuries this week. Compounded with the return of Dawson Knox, who’s seen a 47% snap share in his return, Kincaid is a liability in fantasy lineups this week.
Dalton Schultz — Houston Texans
@ Tennessee Titans
Tennessee has been an absolute landline for TEs this year, allowing the fewest points to the position. With Stroud still in Concussion protocol, it’s hard to trust anyone on the Texans’ offense this week. The matchup makes it that much worse.
