Tip Reiman | Arizona 6’5” 271 lbs. 09/17/2001 (Age 22)
Tip Reiman was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, becoming the third tight end and 82nd overall player in the 2024 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
When it comes to college production, it’s hard to quantify the value that Tip Reiman brought to the Arizona Wildcats, mostly because it’s hard to measure how big of an impact he made as a blocker, both in the run and pass games. He didn’t contribute much as a pass catcher in his time at Tucson, totaling 41 catches for 420 yards and 5 TDs over his three seasons in college.
FILM
While I’m sure there are others out there who can explain the intricacies of blocking and offensive lineman play, the one thing that jumped out to me on his film is that he is a huge body who knows how to overpower defenders off their spot and open up holes for the running game. He did a good job of keeping the QB upright on passes as well, as I rarely saw him get bullrushed or bullied by defensive ends or linebackers trying to rush the passer.
ATHLETIC TESTING
Tip Reiman is a physical specimen who checks in at 6’5” and 270 lbs and had a very solid showing at the combine. Some of the numbers that stood out for him were as follows:
40 Yard Dash: 4.64 – 10-Yard Split: 1.55 – Vertical: 33.5 Inches – Bench Press: 28 Reps
DRAFT ANALYSIS
Rapid Reaction to Draft Capital: Above-Average
Rapid Reaction to Landing Spot: Poor
Tip Reiman was selected with the 82nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
FANTASY INSIGHTS
While getting picked 82nd overall is good draft capital in the NFL, my reaction to that selection is surprised more than anything. He really didn’t flash much as a pass catcher, but he could potentially be used on shorter routes near the end zone if defenses get too aggressive and ignore him as a pass-catching option.
Outside of the deeper 16-team TE-Premium leagues, Tip Reiman can be ignored in dynasty rookie drafts at this time. I’m fine letting him become a UDFA and living with it if he blows up on another team.
