Dylan Raiola

DynastyPatrolHQ’s Devy Freshmen: QB Landscape

Dylan Raiola is the newest golden-armed QB to enter college football. He’s got a cannon for an arm and can sling it all over the field. Raiola played his high school ball at Buford High School in Buford, GA. He passed for 2,666 yards to go along with 34 TDs and 1 INT in his senior season. Raiola stands at 6’3” and 230 lbs. giving him the perfect size for an NFL-caliber QB. Raiola’s decision to commit to Nebraska was a bit puzzling but it should give him ample time to play right away. According to most crypto sports betting sites, Raiola had initially been considered a lock to play for Georgia where he played his high school ball but he flipped to Nebraska at the last second. His father played for Nebraska which may have influenced his decision. Raiola is not known for being mobile but he can avoid pressure when needed and with an arm like his he doesn’t have to be. Look for Raiola to set college football ablaze starting in 2024.

Who is the RB1 in the 2024 Class?

Devy players and film guys alike are saying this 2024 RB draft class doesn’t have the top-end talent that 2023 had with Bijan Robinson, and maybe not even Jahmyr Gibbs or De’Von Achane. Nonetheless, I think we have some talented backs ready to make that next step into the NFL ranks and a few you could justify taking in the first round of 2024 Superflex rookie drafts. So, who exactly are the front-runners for RB1 in this 2024 draft class? In my mind, there are three clear names at the top of this list, with a couple of “Dark Horse” players that could make the jump into this tier. Let’s talk college football and find out who the Dynasty RB1 in this 2024 class is.

@DynastyPatrolHQ’s Devy Sleepers

I’m choosing to highlight my personal favorite fantasy football format today: The Devy Superflex League. If you’re unfamiliar, Devy is a step up from Dynasty formats in that you select college players including incoming freshmen. In my favorite league we have 14 managers and the Devy Draft each year is 10 rounds.  That means we’re drafting 140 new college players every year – exciting stuff!! Today I’m focusing on five under-the-radar Devy Superflex prospects that I think can make all the difference for your team.

Devy Players of the Week

In Miami’s regular-season finale, 6’4” 224 lbs. redshirt freshman, Tyler Van Dyke led the Hurricanes to a convincing 47-10 win over the Duke Blue Devils, throwing for 381 yards and three touchdowns. After taking over for injured D’Eriq King in Week 4, Van Dyke had a couple of rough outings, but starting in late October Van Dyke has looked like a very good young QB. Since Miami’s victory over NC State, Van Dyke has completed 66% of his passes for 2,194 yards, 20 touchdowns, three interceptions, and has a passer rating of 171.85. In his 10 appearances on the year, Van Dyke leads the ACC in Passing Yards Per Attempt with nine and is second in the conference in Passing Efficiency Rating at 160.1. I find his efficiency as a first-year starter to be very impressive.

Pro Day Round-Up

Today is March 11, 2021, this is important because we are less than a week away from Free Agency. On March 17th we will likely find out where players such as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kenny Golladay, Aaron Jones, Will Fuller, Curtis Samuel, Corey Davis, Todd Gurley, Marvin Jones Jr., Kenyan Drake, T.Y. Hilton, A.J. Green, and Hunter Henry will land. There are 43 days until the NFL Draft, and in most years we would have the NFL Combine to overreact to, however, as you know the NFL Combine was canceled due to the pandemic. Although we do not get to see all of the relevant players get their testing measurables in the same conditions, we still will get good data from the school’s Pro-Days.

IDP Draft Preview: Kwity Paye

Kwity Paye came out of Bishop Hendricken high school as a three-star defensive lineman with plenty of accolades to his name. Coming out of Rhode Island, Paye was at a camp where he clocked a spectacular 4.5 40-yard dash, vaulting him to the top-ranked player in his state for the 2017 recruiting class. A high 3-star recruit, Paye was a First-Team All-State pick. Off the field, Paye won the Rhode Island State Championship in Long Jump with a mark of 21 feet and 5 inches. The stud defender had his choice of multiple offers but ultimately decided that Ann Arbor was the right place for him. While at Michigan, Paye carved out a solid career for the Wolverines.
