Devy Breakout Players of the Month

The College Football regular season has come to an end this week, and we are here to show you all of the breakout players that you need to be aware of both for devy leagues and in standard dynasty leagues. In devy, you will likely be able to acquire these players in your offseason drafts, and in dynasty leagues, be sure to keep your first-round picks in these players eligible years close to the vest.

Kayshon Boutte: 2021 Devy Profile

Kayshon Boutte is a 6’0” and 185 lbs. five-star wide receiver for the LSU Tigers. He was the WR2 and 24th overall prospect from the 2023 class. In his true freshman season, Boutte caught 45 passes for 735 yards and five TDs. Within the context of the LSU offense, he accounted for 23.5% of their receiving yardage and 20.8% of their receiving scoring. This equates to a 22.2% dominator rating and a 23% adjusted dominator rating. Boutte also averaged 1.75 yards per team pass attempt. While these figures do not surpass the 25% dominator rating threshold for a true breakout, within the context of the season one could argue that he did break out.

Draft Stock Watch: Week 9

Each week I will bring you the latest updates and NFL buzz surrounding college players that should prove to be integral to future fantasy success. I will utilize recent statistics, performance and film, and general “front office whispers” to compile the intel I share with you. My hope is to provide you with a leg up on your opponents. You will know which devy players to target in trades and/or in what range of draft picks (both NFL and fantasy drafts) you can expect these players to be selected. If you want to read last week’s article, click here.

This weekend we all got to watch Alabama and Ohio State continue to assert their dominance, as Clemson showed they could win without their all-world QB, despite not playing their best football. Additionally, the Big12 Conference has now effectively eliminated any hopes for one of their teams earning a seed in the college football playoff this season with the twists and turns of a few other top-25 upsets blended in. With Week Nine of the college football season in the books, we take a look at some of the draft stock movements for our future fantasy football stars.

The BIG10 conference officially joined in the fun this week, as we got to watch Indiana upset #8 Penn State on the final play, one of the craziest we’ve seen this season. There were many impressive performances, and a lot of youngsters stood out this past Saturday. Let’s take a look at the draft stock movement on some players after watching Saturday play out!

don't panic

Don’t Panic on Bijan Robinson

In devy, the name of the game is patience. Did we all want Bijan Robinson to be the guy in week one and get 20+ touches per game? Of course. But, that isn’t always how it shakes out. However, with less than elite competition in the backfield, he should see his touches continue to increase. Remember, Robinson still has two more full seasons to live up to the hype of being the number one running back prospect. Don’t get frustrated with Robinson after three games, as I believe he will be the primary ball carrier by seasons end.

A First Look: 2023 Running Backs Part 2

In the first part of this first look at the 2023 running backs, I briefly broke down my top five running backs in the incoming freshman class. Depending on the number of devy prospects owned in your league, there’s a great chance that all five of those backs will be selected in your drafts. This next group of five will likely only be taken in deeper leagues, if at all.
