There are a handful of great RB plays this week, but you’ll have to be creative if you want to differentiate yourself from the pack. In this article, I’ll be breaking down all eleven matchups on the main slate, sharing my thoughts on player prices* and stacking opportunities. As you read, please note that the player names in bold are what I consider my “core” players or guys that I’m sliding into a large percentage of my lineups. Eagles @ Giants (44.5 O/U)
This game isn’t going to be popular due to the low point total, but there are some interesting pieces here, mostly on the Eagles’ side. Miles Sanders ($7,700) is one of my favorite plays this week. Sanders has a three-down role when healthy, and the matchup this week is juicy. Dallas Goedert ($5,800) is a great play as well. He’ll operate as the full-time starter with Zach Ertz out, and we’ve seen Carson Wentz lean heavily on his TEs throughout his career. Travis Fulgham ($6,800) and Jalen Reagor ($5,600) are also viable in this spot.
On the Giants’ side, my primary focus is Evan Engram ($5,600). The athletic TE hasn’t been a tremendous fantasy option thus far, but he has seen at least 9 targets in each of the past three games.
Buccaneers @ Panthers (50.5 O/U)
Well, now that CMC has been ruled out, everyone and their mother is going to play Mike Davis ($5,400) this week. At such a low price, he’s hard to fade. However, keep in mind that the Buccaneers have allowed the second-fewest rushing yards and the lowest YPC in the league this season. For whatever reason, DJ Moore ($6,900) is still the most expensive Panthers’ WR by a wide margin. He’s a nice leverage play off of Mike Davis and other WRs in his price range, but he hasn’t inspired much confidence in recent weeks. I also like Curtis Samuel ($5,700) quite a bit. His role in the passing game seems to be growing, and he’s always in play to vulture a rushing TD.
After his disastrous performance in Week 9, Tom Brady ($7,800) should be out for blood this week. Choosing the right receivers to stack him with is most likely an exercise in futility, but I like Antonio Brown ($6,500) and Rob Gronkowski ($6,100). Chris Godwin ($7,500) and Mike Evans ($7,300) are a bit pricier, but they’re absolutely in play as well.
Jaguars @ Packers (43 O/U)
The Packers have a great matchup here, but you’ll have to pay up if you want to take advantage. Considering price and ownership, you might be better off fading Davante Adams ($9,500) this week. He can’t score tw0 TDs every week, right? I’m a sucker for Aaron Jones ($8,800) in this spot, but he’ll be highly owned, as well. Essentially, if you’re going to play any of these Packers, you’ll have to get creative with the rest of your lineup.
On the other side, DJ Chark ($6,600) is a solid play who can become a great play if Jaire Alexander fails to pass the concussion protocol. You can also run back your Packers stacks with Chris Conley ($4,800) since Shenault is out this week. You could also just stick with James Robinson ($7,300), who has the best matchup. The Packers have allowed the 2nd-most points to opposing RBs this season.
Texans @ Browns (47.5 O/U)
This game looked incredibly appealing early in the week, but the projected point total has been reduced following reports of high winds and precipitation. If you intend to roster players in this game, make sure you keep an eye on the weather leading up to kickoff. However, regardless of weather, Kareem Hunt ($7,500) is one of my favorite plays this week. With the return of Nick Chubb ($8,200), who is also in play, Hunt will be an afterthought for many DFS players. We should remember though that Hunt had a significant role in this offense even before Chubb got hurt. With the Texans surrendering the third-most points to RBs, there could be plenty to go around.
If the weather clears up, Deshaun Watson ($8,300), Will Fuller ($7,100), and Brandin Cooks ($6,300) are quite an appealing stack. I think you can still play Cooks, who opperates closer to the line of scrimmage than Fuller, but I’m probably fading the others at this point.
Washington @ Lions (46.5 O/U)
Terry McLaurin ($7,000) and Antonio Gibson ($6,100) are still too cheap. Until FanDuel gives these guys some respect, they’ll be obvious plays each and every week. I also like the Washington D/ST ($3,800) here.
On the Detroit side, I’m really only considering TJ Hockenson ($6,200) and D’Andre Swift ($6,000). Neither of these teams plays particularly fast, and we aren’t expecting a ton of points, so it’s hard to get excited about this matchup from a stacking perspective.
Bills @ Cardinals (56 O/U)
This game is a fun one to stack. Play Kyler Murray ($8,800) with DeAndre Hopkins ($8,600) or Christian Kirk ($6,300) and run it back with one or two Buffalo receivers. If Kenyan Drake misses another game, you could even go back to Chase Edmonds ($7,100) and hope he finds the end zone a couple of times.
You can also stack Josh Allen ($8,700) with Stefon Diggs ($7,900), but John Brown ($5,600) might be an even better option. He’ll be less owned, and you can probably use that extra $2,000 in savings to afford a Hopkins run back. Brown finally looked healthy last week, racking up 99 yards on eight receptions.
Broncos @ Raiders (51 O/U)
Darren Waller ($7,000) is the only truly dominant TE on the slate, which makes him an intriguing play this week. He’s the clear target leader in this offense, and he’s been able to find the end zone in recent weeks. Outside of Waller, I don’t want much to do with this Raiders’ offense. Josh Jacobs ($7,500) is getting plenty of work on the ground, but his involvement in the passing game has evaporated. Meanwhile, none of the WRs have earned significant target shares. I do think Henry Ruggs ($5,600) will break out at some point, so I’m willing to take a shot on him.
On the Denver side, you’ve got multiple pass-catchers from which to choose. Jerry Jeudy ($5,800) and Noah Fant ($5,700) look like the focal points of the offense at this point, but you can also pivot to Tim Patrick ($5,500) or KJ Hamler ($5,200). Patrick and Hamler saw nine and 10 targets respectively in Week 9, and both receivers topped 90 air yards.
Chargers @ Dolphins (48 O/U)
The Dolphins’ defense has performed well in recent weeks, but I still like this game as a sneaky shootout. You’ve got Justin Herbert ($8,000), who stacks perfectly with Keenan Allen ($7,800) and Mike Williams ($5,900).
You could instead go with a cheaper Tua Tagovailoa ($6,800) stack. You can pair him with DeVante Parker ($6,000) and another pass-catcher like Mike Gesicki ($5,300) or Jakeem Grant ($4,600). Then, just mix and match the run backs to your liking.
49ers @ Saints (49 O/U)
Michael Thomas ($8,500) makes a ton of sense this week as leverage off Alvin Kamara ($9,000), who could garner ownership as high as 30%. You could also play a cheaper pass-catcher like Emmanuel Sanders ($5,800). Stacking Drew Brees ($7,600) in a home game makes some sense, but he’s not among my favorite QBs on the slate.
If you want to correlate Thomas or Kamara with a weapon on the other side, I really like Brandon Aiyuk ($6,500) and Jerick McKinnon ($5,500). McKinnon was the clear backfield leader in Week 9, and that should be the case again in Week 10 with Mostert, Coleman, and Wilson still sidelined.
Bengals @ Steelers (45.5 O/U)
As good as the Steelers’ defense has been, they haven’t been able to contain opposing WRs. Tyler Boyd ($6,700) and Tee Higgins ($6,100) are strong plays for this reason.
On the other side of the ball, I’m willing to go back to James Conner ($7,600) after his disappointing Week 9. He’s in a great matchup, and he could offer some nice leverage if everyone else flocks to the more obvious RB plays.
Seahawks @ Rams (55.5 O/U)
I love this game. Jared Goff ($7,400) is a massive value against this Seattle defense that can’t stop anybody. If you jam in Cooper Kupp ($7,700) and Robert Woods ($7,200) and run it back with DK Metcalf ($8,300), you’ve still got half your budget to play with.
Of course, Russell Wilson ($8,900) and Tyler Lockett ($7,400) are in play as well. Lockett has been more bust than boom lately, but he’s always in play for a 30+ point performance. You’ve also got some cheap receiving options in this game like David Moore ($5,300), Josh Reynolds ($5,000), and Van Jefferson ($4,600), who can pay off their salary with one big play. I even like the tight ends, Jacob Hollister ($4,700) and Gerald Everett ($4,500), in big game stacks.
